close a door on the cord or pull cord around sharp edges or
corners. Do not run the vacuum cleaner over the cord. Keep
the cord away from heated surfaces.

Maintenance (Keep your Vax as good as new)
IMPORTANT: Your Vax vacuum cleaner is tted with high performance lters it is essential that these are
well maintained and cleaned according to the following instructions.
Maintaining the Filters
NOTE: Do not use any detergents or boiling
water to wash the lters.
Vax recommends that the pre-motor and post-motor lter should be checked and cleaned periodically depending
on the frequency of use and the volume of dirt being picked upon each occasion.
NOTE: Both Pre- and Post-Motor Filters can be rinsed in warm water (max 40°C). Allow to air dry for 24 hours
before replacing. Do NOT use any detergents or boiling water to wash the lters.
Once completely dry, return the lters and case to the vacuum cleaner. Replace all lters covers before restarting
the vacuum cleaner.
IMPORTANT: Even with regular cleaning, lters have a limited lifespan and will eventually need to be
replaced during the lifetime of the vacuum cleaner. If the performance of your vacuum cleaner is
compromised and/or the lters are severely discoloured, the lters may need to be replaced. As a general
guide, Vax recommends lters are replaced every 3-6 months depending on the level of use to ensure
optimum performance of your vacuum cleaner.
