Communication Interface Module for connecting

VDO Dayton navigation system1
CI 3000 works with new and existing standard handsfree kits. All suppor-
ted mobile phones in connection to handsfree kits from Siemens, THB
UniSystem 8, THB Compact Talk2, Nokia Cark 1262and Sony Ericsson HCA-
202with a special VDO Dayton link cable (optional) are compatible to CI
3000. The latest compatibility list of supported handsfree kits and mobile
phones will be available at www.vdodayton.com.
CI 3000 software updateable via GSM data connection1
If you like to use the latest phone generation also in the future, you may
get the right software for selected mobile phones via GSM data connection
at anytime and anyplace you want.
Serial port for data connection
Prepared for internet access through connection with MC 5400 or a
standard MS Windows notebook. This function requires the serial port
cable CA 3050.
Automated C-IQ code entry for navigation content
When ordering content through your VDO Dayton dealer, via the internet
or via the C-IQ Service Centre, you may choose to receive the access code
by phone, e-mail or SMS. If you choose SMS, the navigation system can
read it out and enter the access code automatically into your system. The
system will then give you instant access to the desired data.
Controls and displays all main functions of the
mobile phone
The combination of communication and navigation technology allows to
read SMS messages on the monitor of the navigation system, make calls
safely, download the phone book and read displays of caller´s numbers on
the navigation screen.
Extendable with optional modules
(e.g. Bluetooth Handsfree Terminal CIX 3000 Blue)
The CI 3000 is extendable with different expansion modules. The CIX 3000
Blue is a Bluetooth Handsfree Terminal. No additional handsfree kit with
a cradle is necessary.
