Introduction
This DVB-TTV Receiveris a Free-To-Air digital terrestrialreceiver,
allowing you toaccess free-to-air digitalterrestrial TVchannels
and radio broadcastson yourTV set. Itsdigital reception covers
VHF & UHFband. Compared withthe analogTV programs, digital
TV programseliminate the noiseand interference butoffer high
quality video andaudio. Anon-screen initial installationguide is
provided so thatyou can easilystart to enjoywatching the
programs. In addition,a fully featuredremote controller is
included that offers you accessto every featurewith a simple
press of abutton.

1 RF IN : This socket connects to your external aerial.

Remote Key Function:
1. DTV/VCR Used to switch betweenthe VCR SCARTinput
and the DTV outputmode.
2. INFO Used to display informationabout the channel being
viewed or further informationabout the program whenin
small EPG screen.
3. PAUSE Used to pause orplayback the program being
viewed .
4. EPG Used to display informationabout the program being
viewed and what's onnext.
5. EXIT Used to return tothe previous screen ormenu.
6. OK Used to confirm aselection within a menu.
7. VOL+ Used to move aroundthe menu screens or changing
the volume in non-menustate.
8. FAVORITE Used to access your favourite channels.
9. GAME:Used to select4 built-in mini games:Mine, Tetris,
Gomoku, Calendar.
10. RECALL Used to switch betweenthe last two viewed
channels.
11. SUBTITLE:Used to switch betweendifferent subtitles that
are broadcasted
12. TEXT:Used to open teletextOSD display if teletextavailable
in the broadcasted stream.
13. STANDBY Used to switch the set top box toon and off.
14. MUTE Used to turn the sound on or off.

the channels in non-menustate.
17. VOL- Used to move around the menu screens or changing

numbers in menus.
20. AUDIO Used to set thesound output, the available
settings are STEREO, LEFT, RIGHT,MONO.

22. COLOR KEYS(RED/GREEN/YELLOW/BLUE):Used to
operate different functions inTEXT screen orother menus.

Installing the Batteries
Remove the batterycover from theremote control andput 2XAAAsize batteries
inside the compartment.
The diagram insidethe battery compartmentshows the correctway to installthe
batteries.

Touse the remotecontrol, point ittowards the frontof the digitalset top box
The remote controlhas a rangeof up to7 metres fromthe set topbox at anangle
of up to60 degrees.
The remote controlwill not operateif its pathis blocked.
Sunlight or verybright light willdecrease the sensitivityof the remote
control.

Note: When connecting thereceiver to otherequipment, e.g., TV,
VCR and amplifier, make sureto refer torelevant user manualfor
instruction. Also,make sure youdisconnect all theequipments from
the mains supplybefore the connection.

After allthe connections havebeen made properly, switch onyour
TV.Make sure thereceiver is connectedto the mainsand press
Power to switch thereceiver on. Ifyou are usingthe receiver for
the first time,a First TimeInstallation menu will bedisplayed to
guide you throughthe initial setup.Use the remotecontroller to
finish the setup.
1. Atthe First time installationmenu, selectYES and pressOK
on the remotecontroller to proceed.
2. Enter yourregional settings, includeyour Region, OSD
Language, TimeZone andAntenna Power.Then select
NEXT to proceed.
Note: Make sure toselect the regionyou are locatedsince the receiver
will scan thechannels based onthe bandwidth ofthe region youselected.
If your regionis not onthe list, youare recommended toconduct a manual
search. Refer to Manual Search on page 16 for details.

Basic Operations
Once program search iscompleted, you canstart to watchdigital
terrestrial TVchannels and radiobroadcasts. Some typical
operations are givenin this chapter.
Switching On andOff
Whenever you arenot using thereceiver, pressthe Standby key on
remote control orbutton on thereceiver to put it into standbymode.
Changing Channels
Toswitch between differentchannels, you can:
Press OK to display thechannel list andUP/DOWN to select
a desired channel.
Press theCH+ / CH-key or buttonson the receiverto go tothe
previous/next channel.
Use the numerickeys to selecta channel number.
Use theRECALL key to returnto the previousviewed channel.
Whenever you changea channel, abanner appears atthe bottom
of the screendisplaying the basicinformation on thecurrent
channel.
Adjusting the Volume
Press theVOL+ / VOL-key to adjustthe volume.

Toview the EPG(electronic program guide)provided by the
content provider:
1. Press theEPG key and thenuse theUp / Downkey highlight a
desired channel topreview the EPG.To view today'scomplete
EPG, press theRight key.
2. When today'scomplete EPG isdisplayed, use theUp / Down
key to scrollalong the EPG.To view theEPG of next/previous
day,press theUP /Down key continuously.
To see thehighlighted EPG details,press theRight key.

Managing Program List
Main Menu >Program List >TV / RadioProgram List
All active channelsare listed inthe Program List,allowing you to
make your ownfavorite channel group,move, delete orsort
channels.
Creating Favorite ChannelGroups
This feature allowsyou to groupyour favorite channels.To create
your favorite groups:
1. Select thechannel which youwould like toadd to thegroup and
go to theFavor column.
2. When theFavor column of thedesired channel ishighlighted,
one red heartsymbol would appearafter pressed theOK key.
Pressing theOK key again willun-select the channelfrom the
favorite group.
3. Once yourfavorite group iscreated, you canpress the
FAVORITE keys to quicklyaccess your favoritechannels.

Moving a Channel
1. Select the channelwhich you liketo move andgo to theMove column.
2. PressOK and symbol will bedisplayed.
3. Use theUp / Downkey to movethe channel toa desired position.
Deleting a Channel
1. Select the channelwhich you liketo delete andgo to theDel column.
2. PressOK and anX symbol will bedisplayed. Repeat thisstep in the
channel to bedeleted.
3. PressEXIT or MENU and the markedchannel will bedeleted.

Manual Search
If any channelis missing afterauto search, oryou want toadd
newly launched channels,you can useManual Searchto scan
the desired channels.To manually searchthe target channel,
you must knowits parameters, e.g.,the channel number. Afterthe
channel is found,it is appendedto the currentchannel list.
1. Enter theManual Searchmenu viaMain Menu> Program
Search > Manual Search.
2. Specify the appropriatechannel number inthe Channel No
field by pressingRight/Left or the numerickeys. Upon your
selection, the frequencyand bandwidth valuesare changed
accordingly.
3. SelectOK to start manualsearch.
4. If nosignal is found,a message indicatingno signal willappear.
Otherwise scanned channelwill be savedand appended tothe
current channel list.

Parental Control
This feature allowsyou to preventchildren or unauthorizedpeople
from watching channels.
1. Go toMain Menu> Parental Control.First, you willneed to
enter PIN asprompted to usethe parental controlmenu. (The
default PIN is6666.)
2. Aftercorrect PIN input,the following optionsare provided:
Channel Lock:Allows you toactivate or de-activatethe overall
parental control. Whenset toYES, all the channelswith locking
settings will belocked.
Parental Setting:In the channellist, select thechannel you
want to lockand then pressOK. A padlocksymbol will be
displayed. To remove thelock, pressOK again.
