1. Introduction

3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty
on the last pages of this manual.
•Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute
force when operating.

moisture.
•Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before
actually using it.
•All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety
reasons.
•Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the
device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.

5. Overview
Refer to the drawings on page 2 of this manual.
•[A] Flange adjustment ring, suitable for CS-mount
lenses. Use the included spacer for C-mount lenses.
•[B] Back focal lock screw. The camera is set at the
standard back focal position. Depending on the type of
used lens, slight adjustment may be necessary. Adjust
the lens back-focus by turning the focusing knob. Use
the included socket head wrench for this.
•[C] Auto iris lens connector. Supply power and control
signals to the auto iris lens.
•[D] Direct Drive Level Adjustment. When using a Direct
Drive Lens, the Direct Drive Level for video output
brightness can be adjusted.
•[E] Power LED indicator, is on during normal operation.
•[F] DC12V input. Connect a regulated 12VDC power
supply (not incl.) to provide power to the camera.
•[G] Video output connector to connect the camera to a
monitor (not incl.)
•[H] selection dipswitch
•AES/AI selector. Switch to Auto Electronic Shutter
(AES) when a fixed or manual iris lens is used with this
camera. Switch to Auto Iris (AI) when using an auto
iris lens.
•BLC/OFF selector. Switch BLC (Back Light
Compensation) on or off. Set to on when under
strong light conditions, set to off under normal
conditions.
•SOFT/SHARP selector. Set the image contours
sharpness. The "soft" setting blurs the image slightly
while the "sharp" option provides a strong edge-
contrast enhancement.
•HOLD/ATW selector. Switch to HOLD to have a
constant white balance, switch to ATW (Auto Tracking
White balance) to automatically adjust the white
balance depending on the environmental conditions.
•[I] Iris VD/DD selector. Set to Video Drive (VD) when
using a video drive auto iris lens, or to Direct Drive (DD)
in case a direct drive auto iris lens is used.
•[J] Audio output connector. Connect the audio in of the
monitor to this connector.
6. Connection
•Mount a lens (not incl.) on the camera.
•Set the {removed} selection dipswitch [H].
•Connect the video output [G] to the video input of a
monitor (not incl.). Use a 75coaxial cable (not incl.).
•Connect the audio output [J] with the audio input of a
monitor (cable not incl.).
•Connect a 12VDC power supply (not incl.) to the power
input [F].
•When using a video driven lens, connect the video drive
cable (not incl.) to the auto iris lens connector [C]. If
necessary, replace the cable connector by the included
cable connector. Refer to the drawing on page 2 of this

manual for the pin layout. Replacing the connector should
be done by a qualified technician.
•To adjust the focus of the camera, loose the lock screw
[B] on the flange adjustment ring [A], turn the ring until
the desired focus is reached and retighten the lock screw
[B]. Adjusting the focus should be done by a qualified
technician.

1. Inleiding

toestel schade kan toebrengen aan het milieu.

aanbrengen aan het toestel.
•Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is. Bij
onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie.

5. Omschrijving
Raadpleeg de figuur op pagina 2 van deze handleiding.
•[A] Flens geschikt voor CS-lenzen. Gebruik het
meegeleverde tussenstuk voor C-montage.
•[B] Scherpstelling. De camera is ingesteld op een
standaard brandpuntsafstand. Regel naargelang de
gebruikte lens met behulp van de meegeleverde sleutel.
•[C] Aansluiting automatische iris. Voeding- en
signaalaansluiting naar de irislens.
•[D] Afstelling Direct Drive. De helderheid van een
directdrivelens kan ingesteld worden.
•[E] Voedingsled. Brandt tijdens gebruik.
•[F] Ingang DC 12 V. Sluit aan op een gestabiliseerde
voeding van 12 VDC (niet meegelev.).
•[G] Video-uitgang naar monitor (niet meegelev.)
•[H] DIP-schakelaars
•Keuzeschakelaar AES/AI. Schakel naar Auto Electronic
Shutter (AES) indien u een vaste of manuele irislens
gebruikt. Schakel naar Auto Iris (AI) indien u een
automatische lens gebruikt.
•Keuzeschakelaar BLC/OFF. Schakel de
tegenlichtcompensatie in bij sterk omgevinglicht of uit
bij normaal omgevinglicht.
•Keuzeschakelaar SOFT/SHARP. Stel de beeldscherpte
in: SOFT voor een licht wazig beeld, SHARP voor een
beeld met een hoog contrast.
•Keuzeschakelaar HOLD/ATW. Stel op HOLD voor een
constante witbalans of op ATW (Auto Tracking White)
om de witbalans automatisch aan de omgeving aan te
passen.
•[I] Keuzeschakelaar VD/DD. Schakel naar Video Drive
(VD) indien u een automatische videodrivelens gebruikt.
Schakel naar Direct Drive (DD) indien u een automatische
directdrivelens gebruikt.
•[J] Audio-uitgang. Sluit aan op de audio-ingang van de
monitor.
6. Aansluiting
•Monteer de lens (niet meegelev.) op de camera.
•Stel de DIP-schakelaar [H] in.
•Sluit de video-uitgang [G] aan op de video-ingang van
een monitor (niet meegelev.). Gebruik een coaxkabel van
75 (niet meegelev.).
•Sluit de audio-uitgang [J] aan op de audio-ingang van
een monitor (kabel niet meegelev.).
•Sluit de voeding aan (12 VDC, niet meegelev.)
voedingsingang [F].

•Sluit de videodrivekabel (niet meegelev.) aan de
aansluiting van de automatische iris indien u een
videodrivelens gebruikt. Indien nodig, vervang de
connector door de meegeleverde connector. Raadpleeg de
figuur op pagina 2 voor de pinverdeling. Neem contact op
met een technicus in geval van twijfel.
•Regel de brandpuntsafstand bij door de schroef [B] op de
flens [A] los te maken en de flens bij te stellen. Maak de
schroef [B] opnieuw vast.

5. Description
Consulter l’illustration page 2 de cette notice.
•[A] Anneau d’ajustement, convient pour les objectifs à
montage CS. Utiliser l’entretoise incluse pour les objectifs
à montage C.
•[B] Vis de focalisation. Cette caméra est réglée par
défaut. Cependant, il se peut qu’un léger ajustement soit
nécessaire en utilisant un objectif de type différent.
Ajuster la focalisation en tournant le bouton à l’aide de la
clef incluse.
•[C] Prise de connexion de l’iris automatique. Connexion
d’alimentation et de signal vers l’objectif à iris.
•[D] Réglage du niveau de clarté Direct Drive.
•[E] DEL d’alimentation. S’allume lorsque la camera est
enclenchée.
•[F] Prise d’alimentation CC 12 V. Connecter une
alimentation régulée 12 VCC (non incl.).
•[G] Sortie vidéo. Connecter à la prise d’entrée vidéo d’un
moniteur (non incl.)
•[H] Sélecteur DIP
•Sélecteur AES/AI. Sélectionner l’obturateur
électronique automatique (AES) en utilisant un objectif
à focale fixe ou manuelle. Sélectionner l’iris
automatique (AI) en utilisant un objectif à iris
automatique.
•Sélecteur BLC/OFF. Placer le sélecteur sur BLC lors
d’une forte luminosité ambiante ou sur OFF lors d’une
luminosité ambiante normale.
•Sélecteur de netteté des contours SOFT/SHARP. Placer
le sélecteur sur SOFT pour une image légèrement
vague ou sur SHARP pour une image très contrastée.
•Sélecteur HOLD/ATW. Placer le sélecteur sur HOLD
pour une balance des blancs constante ou sur ATW
pour une balance des blancs automatique selon la
luminosité ambiante.
•[I] Sélecteur iris VD/DD. Sélectionner Vidéo Drive (VD)
en utilisant un objectif Vidéo Drive. Sélectionner Direct
Drive (DD) en utilisant on objectif direct drive.
•[J] Sortie audio. Connecter à la prise d’entrée audio d’un
moniteur.
6. Connexion
•Monter un objectif (non inclus) sur la caméra.
•Sélectionner le mode avec le sélecteur DIP [H].
•Connecter la sortie vidéo [G] à l’entrée video d’un
moniteur (non incl.). Utiliser un câble coaxial de 75 
(non incl.).
•Connecter la sortie audio [J] à l’entrée audio d’un
moniteur (câble non incl.).
•Connecter une alimentation 12 VCC (non incl.) à la prise
d’alimentation [F].
