1.Introduction

Your MMPR1 should come with: 1 x digital recorder, 1 x 100/240V PSU, 1 x USB cable, 1 x
remote control, 2 x AAA battery, 2 x AV cable, 1 x user manual.
The MMPR1 is a portable digital recorder allowing you to display pictures, play films and
music saved onto the HDD, and to record your favourite programme onto HDD. In addition,
the MMPR1 can also be used as a traditional external hard disk. This digital recorder
supports various video and audio formats.

IMPORTANT INFORM
ATION
Procedure to switch off your digital recorder in order to prevent damage to the HDD.
Press on the remote control.
Wait a few seconds.
Press on the digital recorder.
Do not switch on the digital recorder within the next minute to make sure the HDD is
completely switched off.

2.HDD Installation (see ill. on final page)
1. Turn the digital recorder upside down and unscrew the four screws.
2. Carefully remove the cover from the digital recorder. Mind the direction.
3. Remove the four screws holding the HDD holder.
4. Remove the HDD cassis. Mind the installation direction.
5. Install the HDD into the fame. Mind the installation direction.
6. Fix the HDD using the screws included with the HDD.
7. Carefully plug the power connector into the SATA. Mind the connection direction.
8. Install the frame and HDD back into the digital recorder. Fix using the four screws.
9. Make sure the wiring does not hamper the cover rims.
10. Replace the cover and fix using the screws. Replace the rubber feet.
3.Setup
Press in the main menu to enter the setup menu. Select a submenu with [Up] or [Down].
Enter the submenu with [OK].
Display: set language, TV standard and scan mode.
Config: set file and media browsing mode, firmware update and firmware version.
Clock: set year, month, day, hour and minutes.
ActiveBK: activate/deactivate the background picture when playing music.
PlayOrder: set music in repeat mode.
SlideInterval: set the slideshow interval time.
Scheduler: set the scheduled recording parameters.
Record: set the recording parameters.

5.Basic Functions
•Connecting the Digital Recorder to Your PC
oConnect the PSU to the digital recorder and insert into the mains.
oConnect the digital recorder to your PC using the USB cable.
oPress to switch on the digital recorder. Hold pressed to switch off.
•Exchanging Data With the Digital Recorder
oSelect the desired files or folders on your computer.
oClick the right mouse button and select [Copy] in the menu.
oGo to [My Computer] and select the local disk.
oClick the right mouse button and select [Paste] in the menu.
•Disconnecting the Digital Recorder From Your PC
oWindows

At the bottom right on the taskbar, click on [Safely Remove Hardware] with the left
mouse button.
Click [Safely Remove Mass Storage Device Drive] in the menu with the left mouse
button. This will remove the digital recorder from the computer operating system.
Disconnect the digital recorder from your PC.
oMac

OS X
Remove the drive from the desktop by dragging the icon to the trash bin.
Disconnect the digital recorder.
Follow the recommended logoff procedure to prevent data loss or damage to the
device.
•Formatting Your HDD
Back up all stored data before formatting! All data will be deleted after formatting.
oThe HDD can be formatted like any other HDD in Windows
®
. Under [My Computer],
right click on the local disk.
oSelect [Format…] from the menu.
oLeft click on [Start] and confirm with [OK].

•Connecting the Digital Recorder With A Home Entertainment System
oConnect the PSU to the digital recorder and insert into the mains.
oUse the AV cable and connect the AV OUT of the digital recorder to the audio/video
input of your TV set.
oPress to switch on the digital recorder. Press on the remote control to put the
digital recorder in standby. Press to switch off the digital recorder.
6.Key Functions
•File Management
Move the cursor to the management icon and press [OK] to enter the file
management mode.
oBasic Operation
Select your document with [Up] and [Down] in the menu.
Press [OK] to open the document or to get in the directory.
Press to go back to the document management menu, press to go back
to the root directory, press [Left] to go back to the parent directory and press [Right]
to go to the next directory or to playback the file.
oCreating/Deleting a Directory
Choose the appointed document list and press .
Select [Create Dir] and press [OK] to create a new directory. Select [Del] to delete
the directory.
The DIR_XXXX is the serial number.
oCopying/Deleting a File
Choose the appointed file, press , [Copy] and [OK]. Open a directory, press
, select [Paste] and press [OK].
Delete a file by choosing the appointed file first and by pressing . Select
[Delete] in the menu to delete the file.

•Music Playback
Move the cursor to the music icon and press [OK] to enter the playback mode or
press in the main menu.
oPress [V+] or [V-] to adjust the volume.
oPress to go back to the document management menu.
oPress , or to start, pause or stop the playback.
oPress or to select the previous or next file.
oPress or to fast reverse or fast forward.
oPress to select the repeat mode: normal, repeat one, repeat all.
oPress to open/close the information menu.
oPress to show/hide the information on the screen.
oPress to enter the music setup menu.

•Video Playback
Move the cursor to the video icon and press [OK] to enter the video playback mode
or press in the main menu.

•Viewing Pictures
Move the cursor to the picture icon and press [OK] to enter the picture viewing
mode or press in the main menu.
oPress [Left] or [Right] to switch pictures.
oPress to enter the zoom menu.
oPress to rotate the picture.
oPress to enter the picture browse menu.
oPress to enter the slide mode.
oPress to select a picture effect.
oPress to set the slideshow interval time.
oPress to show/hide the picture information.
oPress to go back to the document management menu.
•Scheduled Recording
Move the cursor to the recording icon and press [OK] to enter the video recording
mode or press and in the main menu.
oPress to enter the setup menu. Exit the menu by pressing .
oAdjust the digital recorder’s internal clock according to the actual time.
oPress to enter the recording menu. Press [Schedule] to set up the scheduled
recording.
oPress [Right] to select the scheduled recording status, press [Left] to delete. Press
[Up] or [Down] to modify the selection.
oPress [OK] to confirm.
Remarks:
oDo not switch off the digital recorder while setting the recording parameters.
oThe record file will be saved as [REC XXXX.AVI].
oIf the HDD is full during recording, [The disk is full! Press any key to exit!].
oMaximum file size is 2GB, maximum file recording time is 1 hour. The digital recorder
will save the recording as another file when the recording exceeds one of these values.

•Music Box
You can enjoy listening to music saved onto the HDD even without a TV set. Simply
plug in your speaker set or earphones into the AV OUT connection of the digital
recorder. Switch on your digital recorder and wait for the digital recorder to initialize.
Press to playback the music files.
Remarks:
oPress and [OK] to return to the music playback mode.
oPress on the remote control, wait a few seconds and press on the digital
recorder to switch off.

1.Inleiding

De MMPR1 is een draagbare digitale recorder waarmee u opgeslagen afbeeldingen kunt
weergeven, opgeslagen films en muziek kunt afspelen, en waarop u uw favoriete tv-
programma’s kunt opslaan. Deze MMPR1 is ook geschikt als externe harde schijf en
ondersteunt verscheidene video- en audioformaten.

BELANGRIJKE INFORMATIE
Hoe schakelt u de digitale recorder uit zonder de harde schijf te beschadigen?
Druk op op de afstandsbediening.
Wacht enkele seconden.
Druk op op de digitale recorder.
Schakel de digitale recorder onmiddellijk niet in maar wacht minstens 1 minuut tot de
harde schijf volledig is uitgeschakeld.

2.Installeren van de harde schijf (zie afb. op laatste pagina’s)
1. Draai het toestel om en schroef de vier schroeven los.
2. Haal voorzichtig het deksel van het toestel. Let op de richting.
3. Verwijder de vier schroeven van het chassis van de harde schijf.
4. Verwijder het chassis van de harde schijf. Let op de plaatsingrichting.
5. Plaats de harde schijf in het chassis. Let op de plaatsingrichting.
6. Schroef de harde schijf vast met de schroefjes die bij de harde schijf zijn meegeleverd.
7. Koppel de voedingsaansluiting voorzichtig aan de SATA. Let op aansluitrichting.
8. Plaats het chassis met de harde schijf terug in het toestel. Draai de vier vast.
9. Zorg ervoor dat de kabels niet in de weg van de dekselprofielen liggen.
10. Plaats het deksel terug, schroef vast en plaats de vier rubber voetjes.
3.Setup instellingmenu
Druk op in het hoofdmenu om het instelmenu weer te geven. Selecteer een submenu
met [Up] of [Down]. Geef het submenu weer met [OK].
Display: instellen van de taal, tv-standaard en scanmodus.
Config: instellen van de bestanden, firmware-update en firmwareversie.
Clock: instellen van het jaar, de maand, de maand, de dag, het uur en de minuten.
ActiveBK: activeren/deactiveren van de achtergrondafbeelding tijdens het afspelen van muziek.
PlayOrder: instellen van de muziek in herhaalmodus.
SlideInterval: instellen van de overgangtijd van de slideshow.
Scheduler: instellen van de parameters van de geprogrammeerde opname.
Record: instellen van de opnameparameters.

5.Basisfuncties
•Aansluiten van de digitale recorder op uw pc
oSluit de voedingsadapter aan de digitale recorder en koppel aan het lichtnet.
oKoppel de digitale recorder aan uw pc via de usb-kabel.
oDruk op om de digitale recorder in te schakelen. Houd ingedrukt om uit te
schakelen.
•Gegevenstransfer met de digitale recorder
oSelecteer de bestanden of mappen op uw computer.
oKlik met de rechtermuisknop en selecteer [Copy] in het menu.
oGa naar [My Computer] en selecteer de locale schijf.
oKlik met de rechtermuisknop en selecteer [Paste] in het menu.
•Ontkoppelen van de digitale recorder
oWindows

Klik in de beneden rechterhoek van de takenbalk met de linkermuisknop op [Safely
Remove Hardware].
Klik met de linkermuisknop op [Safely Remove Mass Storage Device Drive] in het
menu om de digitale recorder te verwijderen.
Ontkoppel de digitale recorder van de pc.

OS X
Verwijder de drive van het bureaublad door de icoon naar de vuilnisbak te slepen.
Ontkoppel de digitale recorder.
Volg de aanbevolen uitlogprocedure nauwgezet om dataverlies of beschadiging
te voorkomen.
•De harde schijf formatteren
Sla alle data als reservebestanden op alvorens te formatteren! Alle data zal na het
formatteren gewist worden.
oFormatteer de harde schijf zoals een standaard harde schijf in Windows
®
. Klik met de
rechtermuisknop op de locale schijf onder [My Computer].
oSelecteer [Format…] uit het menu.
oKlik met de linkermuisknop op [Start] en bevestig met [OK].

•Aansluiten van de digitale recorder op een homecinema
oSluit de voedingsadapter aan de digitale recorder en koppel aan het lichtnet.
oKoppel de AV OUT-uitgang van de digitale recorder aan de audio-/video-ingang van
het televisietoestel door middel van de AV-kabel.
oDruk op om de digitale recorder in te schakelen. Druk op op de
afstandsbediening om de digitale recorder in stand-by te plaatsen. Druk opnieuw op
om de digitale recorder uit te schakelen.
6.Hoofdfuncties
•Bestandenmanagement
Verplaats de cursor naar de managementicoon en druk op [OK] om de
bestandenmanagementmodus weer te geven.
oBasisbediening
Selecteer het document met [Up] en [Down] in het menu.
Druk op [OK] om het document te openen of om de directory weer te geven.
Druk op om naar het menu terug te keren, druk op om naar de
rootdirectory terug te keren, druk op [Left] om naar de parentdirectory terug te
keren en druk op [Right] om de volgende directory weer te geven of het bestand af
te spelen.
oEen directory aanmaken/wissen
Kies een documentenlijst en druk op .
Selecteer [Create Dir] en druk op [OK] om een nieuwe directory aan te maken.
Selecteer [Del] om de directory te wissen.
DIR_XXXX is het serienummer.
oEen bestand kopiëren/wissen
Kies een bestand, druk op , [Copy] en [OK]. Open een directory, druk op ,
selecteer [Paste] en druk op [OK].
Wis een bestand door het bestand eerst te selecteren en daarna op te
drukken. Selecteer [Delete] in het menu om het bestand te wissen.

•Muziek afspelen
Verplaats de cursor naar de muziekicoon en druk op [OK] om het afspeelmenu
weer te geven, of druk op in het hoofdmenu.
oDruk op [V+] of [V-] om het volume bij te regelen.
oDruk op om naar het managementmenu terug te keren.
oDruk op , of om het bestand te starten, te pauzeren of te stoppen.
oDruk op of het vorige of het volgende bestand te selecteren.
oDruk op of om terug of door te spoelen.
oDruk op om de herhaalmodus te selecteren: normaal, herhaal een bestand,
herhaal alle bestanden.
oDruk op om het informatiemenu te openen/sluiten.
oDruk op om het informatievenster te sluiten.
oDruk op om het instelmenu weer te geven.
oDruk op om de slideshow te starten/te stoppen.
•Een videobestand afspelen
Verplaats de cursor naar de video-icoon en druk op [OK] om het afspeelmenu
weer te geven, of druk op in het hoofdmenu.
oDruk op [V+] of [V-] om het volume bij te regelen.
oDruk op om naar het managementmenu terug te keren.
oDruk op , of om het bestand te starten, te pauzeren of te stoppen.
oDruk op of het vorige of het volgende bestand te selecteren.
oDruk op of om terug of door te spoelen.
oDruk op om de herhaalmodus te selecteren: normaal, herhaal een bestand,
herhaal alle bestanden.
oDruk op om de taal van de ondertiteling te selecteren.
oDruk op [EQ] om de equalizer weer te geven.

•Afbeeldingen bekijken
Verplaats de cursor naar de afbeeldingicoon en druk op [OK] om het
afbeeldingenmenu weer te geven, of druk op in het hoofdmenu.
oDruk op [Left] of [Right] om een afbeelding te selecteren.
oDruk op om het zoommenu weer te geven.
oDruk op om de afbeelding te roteren.
oDruk op om het browsermenu weer te geven.
oDruk op om de afbeeldingen automatisch weer te geven.
oDruk op om een effect te selecteren.
oDruk op om de intervaltijd van de slideshow in te stellen.
oDruk op om de informatie weer te geven/te verbergen.
oDruk op om naar het managementmenu terug te keren.
•Geprogrammeerde opname
Verplaats de cursor naar de opname-icoon en druk op [OK] om het opnamemenu
weer te geven, of druk op en in het hoofdmenu.
oDruk op om het instelmenu weer te geven. Verlaat het menu met .
oStel de interne klok van de digitale recorder in.
oDruk op om het opnamemenu weer te geven. Druk op [Schedule] om de
opnametijden in te stellen.
oDruk op [Right] om de opnamestatus te selecteren, druk op [Left] om te wissen. Druk
op [Up] of [Down] om de selectie te wijzigen.
oDruk op [OK] om te bevestigen.
Opmerkingen:
oSchakel de digitale recorder niet uit terwijl u de opnameparameters instelt.
oHet opnamebestand wordt opgeslagen als [REC XXXX.AVI].
oDe boodschap [The disk is full! Press any key to exit!] verschijnt indien de harde
schijf tijdens de opname vol is.
oDe maximale grootte van een bestand bedraagt 2 GB, de maximale opnameduur van
een bestand bedraagt 1 uur. De digitale recorder verdeelt de opname over
verscheidene bestanden indien nodig.

•Muziekbox
U kunt opgeslagen muziekbestanden afspelen zonder de digitale recorder op een
televisietoestel aan te sluiten. Koppel de recorder simpelweg aan een luidsprekerset via
de AV OUT-aansluiting op de recorder. Schakel de digitale recorder in en wacht enkele
seconden. Druk op om de muziekbestanden af te spelen.
Opmerkingen:
oDruk op en [OK] om terug te keren.
oDruk op op de afstandsbediening, wacht enkele seconden en druk op om de
digitale recorder uit te schakelen.
