1. Introduction
To all residents of the European Union

This symbol on the device or the package
indicates that disposal of the device after its
lifecycle could harm the environment. Do
not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as
unsorted municipal waste; it should be
taken to a specialized company for
recycling. This device should be returned to your

Note that damage caused by user modifications to
the device is not covered by the warranty.
This system can provide valuable protection for
your home and property if used properly. However,
it cannot guarantee complete protection against
burglary or robbery. Therefore, VELLEMAN nv will
not be responsible for any losses or damages
which occur during the use of this product.
3. General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality
Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
Have the system installed by a qualified installer.
Respect the legislation in your region when
installing an alarm system. If necessary, refer to
local authorities.
Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid
brute force when operating the device.
Protected the device against extreme heat, dust
and moisture.
Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device
before actually using it.
All modifications of the device are forbidden for
safety reasons.
The device does not contain any user-serviceable
parts except for the battery.

6. Set up connection between remote control
and control panel
1. Open the battery cover, for example with a coin,
and remove the battery.
2. When replacing an old battery, press any button
on the remote control twice to fully discharge the
device.
3. Insert a new battery (always use the correct
battery type: see Technical specifications). Make
sure the polarity is correct.
4. On the CTC1000 control panel, go to the Add
Device menu (see chapter Managing devices in
the control panel manual).
5. Refer to the control panel user manual to
complete the learn-in process.
7. Using the remote control with a stand alone
siren
When using an outdoor siren as a stand-alone (see
manual for outdoor siren for setup), you can use the
remote controller as a master control. This function
is designed to disable tamper protection before
changing the siren’s batteries.
1. On the remote control, to start the siren’s
learning mode, press the home arm + panic
buttons.

On the siren, LEDs 1 and 3 will flash once with a
beep to confirm.
2. On the remote, press the disarm button to exit
learn mode.
On the siren, LED 2 will flash once to confirm.
3. Press both arm + home arm buttons to disable
tamper protection.
The siren will beep once ton confirm.
4. Proceed to change the siren’s batteries.
5. Press both arm + home arm buttons to enable
tamper protection. The siren will beep once to
confirm.
Low battery detection
The remote control has a low battery detection
system. The battery status will be sent to the control
panel along with regular signal transmission, and,
the control panel will display the battery status
accordingly.
WARNING
Do not puncture or throw batteries in fire as
they might explode.
Keep batteries away from children.

1. Inleiding

wordt weggeworpen, dit toestel schade kan
toebrengen aan het milieu. Gooi dit toestel
(en eventuele batterijen) niet bij het

3. Algemene richtlijnen
Raadpleeg de Velleman® service- en
kwaliteitsgarantie achteraan deze handleiding.
Laat het systeem installeren door een
gekwalificeerde installateur.
Respecteer de plaatselijke wetgeving bij het
installeren van een alarmsysteem. Neem eventueel
contact op met de plaatselijke autoriteiten.
Bescherm het toestel tegen schokken. Vermijd
brute kracht tijdens de bediening van het toestel.
Bescherm het toestel tegen extreme hitte, stof en
vochtigheid.

Leer eerst de functies van het toestel kennen voor
u het gaat gebruiken.
Om veiligheidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen
aanbrengen aan het toestel.
Er zijn geen door de gebruiker vervangbare
onderdelen in dit toestel, behalve de batterij.
Gebruik het toestel enkel waarvoor het gemaakt is.
Bij onoordeelkundig gebruik vervalt de garantie.

alarm afgaat. Indien het
alarm geactiveerd werd met
de paniekknop of
afstandsbediening, dan kunt
u het alarm niet
uitschakelen.

De rode led geeft aan dat
een signaal werd verzonden.
6. Verbinding maken tussen de
afstandsbediening en het controlepaneel
1. Open het batterijdeksel, bijvoorbeeld met een
muntstuk, en verwijder de batterij.
2. Druk tweemaal op eender welke knop van de
afstandsbediening wanneer u een batterij
vervangt. Zo wordt het toestel volledig ontladen.
3. Plaats een nieuwe batterij (gebruik altijd het
juiste type batterijen: zie Technische
specificaties). Controleer of de polariteit correct
is.
4. Op het controlepaneel van de CTC1000, ga naar
het menu "Add Device" (zie "Toestellen beheren"
in de CTC1000 handleiding).
5. Raadpleeg de gebruikershandleiding van het
controlepaneel om het leerproces te voltooien.

7. De afstandsbediening met een autonoom
alarmsysteem gebruiken
Gebruikt u een buitenalarm in autonome modus (zie
handleiding buitenalarm voor de configuratie), dan
kunt u een voorgeprogrammeerde afstandsbediening
gebruiken als master-controller. Met deze functie
kunt u de sabotagebeveiliging uitschakelen, alvorens
u de batterijen van de sirene vervangt.
1. Druk gelijktijdig op de knop "Home" en de
paniekknop van de afstandsbediening om de
leermodus van de sirene te activeren.
LED 1 en LED 3 knipperen eenmaal en u hoort
een bevestigende pieptoon.
2. Druk op de knop "Alarm uitschakelen" van de
afstandsbediening, om de leermodus te verlaten.
Op het buitenalarm, knippert led 2 eenmaal om
te bevestigen.
3. Houd de knoppen "Alarm inschakelen" en "Home"
tegelijk ingedrukt om de sabotagebeveiliging te
deactiveren.
Het buitenalarm laat een signaal horen om te
bevestigen.
4. U kunt nu de batterijen van het buitenalarm
vervangen.
5. Houd de knoppen "Alarm inschakelen" en "Home"
tegelijk ingedrukt om de sabotagebeveiliging te
activeren. Het buitenalarm laat een signaal horen
om te bevestigen.

Legebatterij-indicator
De afstandsbediening is uitgerust met
legebatterijdetectie. De afstandsbediening stuurt
regelmatig signalen naar het controlepaneel, die de
batterijstatus op de display weergeeft.
WAARSCHUWING
U mag batterijen nooit doorboren of in het
vuur gooien (explosiegevaar).
Houd batterijen uit het bereik van kinderen.

Protéger l’appareil des chocs. Traiter l'appareil
avec circonspection pendant l’opération.

Se familiariser avec le fonctionnement de l’appareil

6. Connecter la télécommande au panneau de
contrôle
1. Ouvrir le compartiment à piles, par exemple avec
une pièce de monnaie, et retirer la pile.
2. Avant de remplacer une pile usagée, appuyer
deux fois sur un bouton quelconque de la
télécommande pour décharger l'appareil
complètement.
3. Insérer une nouvelle pille (utiliser toujours le type
de pile approprié : voir Spécifications
techniques). Veiller à ce que la polarité des piles
soit correcte.

4. Sur le panneau de contrôle CTC1000, se diriger
vers le menu "Add Device" (voir "Gestion des
périphériques" dans le mode d'emploi du
CTC1000).
5. Consulter le mode d'emploi du panneau de
contrôle pour compléter le processus de
programmation.
7. Utiliser la télécommande avec un système
d'alarme autonome
La télécommande préprogrammée peut servir de
contrôleur maître si l'alarme extérieure est utilisée
en mode autonome (voir le mode d'emploi de
l'alarme extérieure pour la configuration). Avec cette
fonction, il est possible de désactiver la protection
anti-sabotage avant de remplacer les piles de la
sirène.
1. Sur la télécommande, appuyer simultanément sur
le bouton "Home" et le bouton de détresse pour
activer le mode de programmation de la sirène.
Sur l'alarme extérieure, les LEDs 1 et 3
clignoteront une fois et l'alarme émettra un bip
pour confirmer.
2. Sur la télécommande, appuyer sur le bouton de
désactivation pour quitter le mode de
programmation.
Sur l'alarme extérieure, la LED 2 clignotera une
fois pour confirmer.
