IMPORTANT
1. INSTALL WITHIN A 30m RANGE OF THE FAN. STEELWORK WITHIN THE BUILDING MAY EFFECT THE
SIGNAL. ENSURE THAT THE CONTROLLER OPERATES THE FAN FROM THE CHOSEN POSITION BEFORE
FIXING TO THE WALL.
2. POSITION AWAY FROM EXCESSIVE MOISTURE OR HEAT SOURCES.
3. USE ONLY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE APPROPRIATE VENT AXIA LOWATT T SERIES PRODUCT.
INSTALLING THE WIRELESS FM CONTROLLER
1. Insert a small flat narrow bladed screwdriver into the small slot at the base of the controller, push the release catch
in and gently lever upwards to remove the front cover of the controller, pulling the front cover away from the back
box (Fig. 1/1a .
2. Mount the back box in the position required using the 2 keyhole slots. The countersinks at the top of the slot
provides permanent fixing.
3. Connect the 9-volt battery supplied to the terminal connector attached to the front cover of the controller.
4. Fit the battery into the recess in the back box, Fig. 2, taking care to support the weight of the controller cover.
5. Locate the two clips on the top of the front cover into the two recesses in the back box and push the bottom of the
control cover until the locking clip at the bottom locks into position, ensuring not to trap the battery leads.

5. Note: The controller transmits a dedicated signal which the fan must learn. Identify button on the
controller. Switch on the supply to the fan, then press on the controller within 30 seconds. The shutter will
open for a short time then close.
6. Failure to press within 30 seconds of switching the supply onto fan will result in the fan running on its default
setting, speed 2 in extract. Dismantle fan and repeat instructions 3 to 5 above.
7. The fan has now been matched to the Speed Controller and will only respond to the controller from which it
received the set-up signal.
8. For controlling several fans from 1 controller repeat steps 1 to 3 for each fan if all the fans are set to +
they will operate identically. will always operate on extract only and will always operate on intake only.
9. For single direction fans the and buttons on the controller will not function.
1. Install the fan in accordance with the fan fitting and wiring instructions.
2. Before replacing the fan housing ensure that the three position SET switch on the receiver unit (See Fig. 4. is set
to for all controller functions, for intake only or for extract only.

USING THE CONTROLLER
10. To make or inoperative, momentarily press the + to retain extract or press +
to retain intake. To re-enable the locked out function repeat step 10 by pressing the buttons required.
Shutter only/Fan Off
1. Press button to switch the fan Off.
2. Press the button for shutter operation only.
3. The L.E.Ds above the & buttons will illuminate for 5 seconds to confirm the controller setting.
Status. Press . LEDs illuminate to indicate selected controller settings.

NOTE
When any combination of L.E.Ds flash continuously, replace the 9V battery.

USING A SENSOR (e.g. THERMOSTAT) TO PRO IDE AUTO MODE
1. Wire the sensor as shown in Fig. 6 to the fan.
Enable auto mode
1. To enable auto mode press . The L.E.D. to the right of the button will illuminate to confirm the
instruction has been carried out - the auto function has now been enabled.
Disable auto mode
1. To disable auto mode press . The L.E.D. will illuminate on the fans current setting.
