DESCRIPTION
The PEV-1 weighing hoist is an electronic weighing system of great precision, designed
to hang on any type of crane.
The advantages offered by this system are that it allows to read the lifted charge at the
very moment, without having to move it to a fixed weighing machine.
The PEV system is adaptable to capacities of loads from 300 kg. to 10.000 kg.

(ON/OFF) STARTING AND DISCONNECTION
To start the device we will press the key (ON/OFF) :

To disconnect the device we will press the key (ON/OFF):

(ON/OFF) VISUALIZATION OF THE VOLTAGE OF THE BATTERY
From the normal mode of work, we will be able to visualize the state of the battery,
maintaining pressed the button (ON/OFF) or key (6) of the remote control, and releasing it with
the message “bAtEr”:
[ 0] Normal way of use.

Press again on the key (ON/OFF) or (6) to come back to the normal mode of work:

( <->T ) ACHIEVING A TARE
Once the hook is loaded with the weight to measure, we will press the button
(<->T) or key (1)[ TARE ] of the remote control:
[ 150] Tare weight.
[tArA ]

Fix the load to weigh:
[ 2400] Net weight.
While we keep the former tare, we will be able to realise several weighings.
Dropping the weight from the tare, the hook will achieve an automatic untaring:

( <->T ) FIXING THE TARE
Once loaded the hoist with the weight to tare, maintain the key (<->T) or key (1)[ TARE
] of the remote control pressed and release it with the message“FIJA” :
[ 150] Weight of the tare.

Fix the load to weigh:
[ 2400] Net weight.
In this case we will be able to unload the weight of the load and the one of the tare
without losing the value of the latter.
The visor will show us the weight of the tare in negative:
[ -150] Weight of the tare.
Different weighings can be done keeping automatically the value of the tare.

( <->T ) RECUPERATION OF THE TARE
To recuperate the value of a tare or fixed tare, maintain the key (<->T) or key (1)[ TARE
] of the remote control pressed and release it with the message “borrA”:

[ 150] Weight of the tare.
( ->0<-/B) PUT THE WEIGHT TO ZERO
In the case of a loss of the zero, and if no tare is applied, we can achieve a recuperation
of the zero, pressing key (->0<-/B) or key (2)[ ZERO ] of the remote control :

( ->0<-/B) VISUALIZE THE GROSS/NET WEIGHT
If the device has a tare or a fixed tare applied, one can visualize the gross weight
pressing key (->0<-/B) or key (2)[ ZERO ] of the remote control:

[ 2550] Gross weight.
Pressing on key (->0<-/B) or key (2), we will be able to visualize again the value of the
net weight:

[SUMA] ACCUMULATION OF WEIGHINGS (optional)
To achieve accumulation of weighings, press key (3)[ SUM ] of the remote control:

After a total (end of weighings) the following message will be visualised:
[BORRA] Press key (3) [ SUM ].

Showing us that it is the first of the next series of weighings.
[SUBTOTAL] VISUALISATION OF THE SUBTOTAL (optional)
To visualise the accumulated subtotal, press key (4)[SUBTOTAL] of the remote control:

[TOTAL] Press key (4) [SUBTOTAL].

In case the total were superior to “99999” (or “9999” in the 4-digit versions), the visor will
move the digits to be able to visualise the accumulated value correctly.
[TOTAL] FINALIZING AND VIZUALISING THE TOTAL (optional)
To end the series of present weighings and to vizualise the accumulated total, press key
(5)[TOTAL] of remote control:

MESSAGES OF WARNING
[bAtEr] The load level of the battery is very low.
Use the loader delivered for its loading.
When the level reaches a minimum value, the device
realises an automatic disconnection in order not to damage
the battery.
[CELUL] During the start of the device, the weight detected superates
with 100% the maximum capacity allowed or there is a failure
in the weighing system.
[ALto ] The gross weight is higer than the maximum capacity of the
device.
[BAJo ] The negative gross weight is higher that the maximum
capacity of the device.
[SobrE] Failure in the weighing system.
[ooooo] Failure in the weighing system.
[Error] 1) One has tried to realise a sum of weight without
previously having unloaded the load.
2) During the adjustment of weight the sample introduced
is “0” or of a value higher than the capacity of the
device.
[ErrdV] The characteristics of the cell or the adjustment do not adapt
with the value of the introduced sample weight.
Change the capacity and fraction of the device in order to obtain
less points of resolution and repeat the adjustment.
RELOAD OF BATTERIES
The system of feeding named Service 24 hours, is composed of 2 reloadable
interchangeable batteries + an exterior loader. The system allows to work with a battery while
uploading the other.
If one wants to increase the autonomy of work it can be defined in the paragraph of
configuration that operates the Automatic Disconnection after a period of having done the
weighing.
When the screen warns with the flashing message "bAtEr", it indicates that the battery
is low and has to be substituted by the other one that is uploaded.
The extracted battery has to be connected with the exterior uploader.
The uploader has to be connected with a plug of 220 V c.a. during 8...12h.
THE LIFE OF THE BATTERIES DIMINISHES IN THE FOLLOWING CASES:
- When uploads are superior to 12 hours.

CONFIGURATION OF PARAMETERS
During the starting up of the device, maintain pressed the key (<->T) and release it at
the message“MenU ”.
With the remote control, press key (6) during the message “tESt”.
[ PEV ] Press (<->T) or (6).

Press key (->0<-/B) or key (1) of the remote control to visualize the first parameter:

Use of the keyboard:
The functions of the keyboard during the configuration are the following:
(<->T) To jump to next parameter. (Jump of digit).
(->0<-/B) Enter and/or validate the parameter (Increase digit
value).
(ON/OFF) Leave the parameter and/or the menu.
Use of the remote control:
The functions of the keys during the configuration are the following:
(1) [CONFIRM]. Enter and/or validate the parameter.
(2) [ JUMP ]. To jump to next parameter. (Jump of digit).
(3) [ + ]. Increase value digit/change selection.
(4) [ - ]. Decrease value digit/change selection.
(5) [ START ]. Go to beginning of the menu.
(6) [ END ]. Leave the parameter and/or the menu.

Conditions of guarantee.
VERLINDE guarantees this device during a period of 12 months, after the date of
adquisition, in the following way:
1. Covering whichever defect of fabrication or defect of origin, as well as the totality of its
components, including the labour for the substitution of the faulty pieces, in our factory.
2. This guarantee will not cover the defect, if it is the consequence of an incorrect
installation of the device, defcts caused during the transport, clear mishandling or
inadequate use of them, declining all responsibility in the latter case, for damage
produced directly or indirectly.
3. The cells or batteries are excluded from the guarantee, as their good functioning only
depends on the use they are given.
4. The qualification of the breakdowns will only correspond to the technical service of
VERLINDE.
5. The reparations that could occur during the period of validity of the present guarantee
will be achieved, either at the address of the user, either at the technical service of
VERLINDE, at the free election of the latter.
6. All the costs of displacement of the technical personnel to proceed to the examination
and/or reparation of the device, and the transport of the latter, will be at the cost of the
user in agreement with the tariffs established for this concept.
7. In all the reparations the invoice of purchase will have to accompany with the indication
of the exact date of sale of the device.
8. The guarantee of the device is cancelled in the case of observing breaking or
manipulation of the seal.
9. In any case, the holder of the guarantee has the rights recognised by the Law.
