Installation of any gas-fired equipment should be made by a Iicensed plumber. A manual
shut-off valve must be installed in an accessible location in the gas line external to the
applianceforthepurposeofturningonorshuttingoffgastotheappliance(InMassachusetts
suchshutoffdevicesshouldbeapprovedbytheBoardofStateExaminersofPlumbers&
GasFitters).
Ifanexternalelectricalsourceisutilized,theappliance,wheninstalled,mustbeelectrically
groundedinaccordancewithlocalcodesor,intheabsenceoflocalcodes,withthenational
ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.

The range must be electrically grounded in accordance with
local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA No. 70-latest edition, in Canada
Canadian Electrical Code.
Installation should be made by a Iicensed electrician.
FOR PERSONAL SAFETY, THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE
PROPERLY GROUNDED.
Ifanexternalelectricalsourceisutilized,theinstallationmustbe

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Installationmustconformwithlocalcodesor,intheabsence
of local codes, with the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI
Z223.1/NFPA54-LatestEdition,CAN/CGA-B149.1orCAN/
CGA-B149.2.
2. Installationinmanufactured(mobile)home:installationmust
conform with the Manufactured Home Construction and
Safety Standard, Title 24 CFR, Part 3280 [formerly the
Federal Standard for Mobile Home Construction and
Safety, Title 24, HUD (Part 280)] or, when such standard
is not applicable, the Standard for Manufactured Home

3. Installation in Recreational Park Trailers: installation must

codes, with the Standard for Recreational Park Trailers,

4. To eliminate risk of burns or re by reaching over heated
surfaceunits,cabinetstoragelocatedabovethesurfaceunits
shouldbeavoided.
5. Air curtain or other overhead range hoods, which operate
byblowingadownward air ow on to a range,shallnotbe
used in conjunction with gas ranges other than when the
hoodandrangehavebeendesigned,testedandlistedbyan
independenttestlaboratoryforuseincombination.

increases the possibility of bending the leg spindles or the

2. Range may be installed with zero clearance adjacent to
(against) combustible construction at the rear and on the
sides below the cooktop. The range CANNOT be installed
directly adjacent to sidewalls, tall cabinets, tall appliances,
orothersideverticalsurfacesabove37”1/2(953mm)max
height(dependingontheheightofthefeetadjustment).
There must be a minimum of 11” 13/16 (300 mm) side
clearancefromtherangetosuchcombustiblesurfacesTO

3. The maximum upper cabinet depth recommended is 13”
(330 mm). A ventilation hood or a wall cabinet above the

4. Slide the range into place, ensuring the
boltontheadjustablebracketslotsunder
thestabilitybracket.
• Adjustthelengthoftheboltasnecessary.
Ensure the two nuts are well tightened
afteranyadjustments.
IMPORTANT!
• Use the proper screws to x the
stability bracket in place according to
the type of material on the oor and/or
wall.
• Before drilling and holes or inserting
any screws into the oor or wall check
that you will not damage any wiring or
pipes.
WARNING

INSTALLING THE COOKTOP FRONT GUARD (Only for the models without hob rail)
Toincreasetheclearancebetweenthefrontedgeofthecooktopandtheburnersitispossibletoinstallthecooktopfrontguardsupplied
withtheappliance.
IMPORTANT: To install/remove the guard it is necessary to remove the cooktop.
Attempting to install/remove the guard without disassembling the cooktop will result in permanent damage to the appliance.
Installthefrontguardasshowningure1.12:
1. Removethebackguard“A”.
2. Removethepansupports,theburnercapsandtheamespreaders.
3. Unscrewcooktopxingscrews(“B”and“C”ingurebelow).
4. Removethecooktop(keepattentionnottodamagethegasketsttedabovetheburnercups-belowthecooktop).
5. Installthefrontguard“D”byinsertingthewireterminalsintotheproperholesabovethecontrolpanel(“E”ingurebelow).
6. Reassemblethecooktopandtheothercomponents(stepsfrom4to1).
Note:Takeextracarenottodamagethegasketsttedabovetheburnercups(belowthecooktop).Iftheyaredamagedtheymust
bereplaced.

2. Pressure Regulator:
a. Allheavyduty,commercialtypecookingequipmentmusthaveapressureregulator
ontheincomingservicelineforsafeandefcientoperation,sinceservicepressure
mayuctuatewithlocaldemand.
Beforeinstallingtheregulatormountthe1/2”NPT(conical)maleconnectortothe
regulator(seepicture2.2).
Gasketsuppliedhastobeplacedbetween1/2”NPT(conical)connector/extension
pipemalepipetting(seepicture2.3).
Theregulatorsuppliedwiththisrangemustbeinstalledbeforeanygasconnections
aremade.
Usesuppliedpressureregulatoronly.
b. Assemble the extension pipe + pressure regulator group to the range manifold
interposingthegasketsupplied(seepictures2.4,2.5).

The range is equipped for the use with NATURAL gas. It is design-certied by CSA
InternationalforNATURALandL.P.gaseswithappropriateconversion.
The model/serial rating plate, located below the bottom drawer, has information on
the type of gas that can be used. If this information does not agree with the type of
gasavailable,checkwiththelocalgassupplier.Seepagefrom18to21forL.P.gas
conversioninstructions.
1. Manual Shut-off Valve(g:2.1):
Amanualshut-offvalvemustbeinstalledinanaccessiblelocationinthegaslineexternal
totheappliance for the purpose of turningonorshuttingoffgas totheappliance(In
MassachusettssuchshutoffdevicesshouldbeapprovedbytheBoardofStateExaminers
ofPlumbers&GasFitters).
Thisvalveshouldbelocatedinthesameroomastherangeandshouldbeinalocation
thatallowseaseofopeningandclosing(inapositionwhereitcanbereachedquicklyin
theeventofanemergency).
Donotblockaccesstotheshutoffvalve.Thevalveisforturningonorshuttingoffgas
totheappliance.

PRESSURE REGULATOR INSTALLATION
STEP 1
Mountthe1/2”NPT(conical)maleconnectortothepressureregulatorand
tightenbyusingawrench.
Donotovertightentheconnector.
Overtighteningmaycrackregulator.
STEP 2
Assemblethe1/2”NPTconnector+pressureregulatorgrouptotheextensionpipeinterposingthegasketsupplied.
Theregulatorcovermustbeorientedtowardthefrontsideoftherange.
IMPORTANT:usetwowrenchestotightentheconnection.
Inserttheextensionpipeintothesuppliedsupportbracket“B”asshown:
• bendinthemetaltab90degreestoallowthepipetobettedintothebracket(detail#1);
• bendthemetaltabbackintoitsoriginalpositiontosecure(detail#2).

• Theregulatorusedonthisrangecanwithstandamaximuminputpressure
of1/2PSI(14.0”W.C.P).Ifthelinepressureisinexcessofthatamount,a
stepdownregulatorwillberequired.
f. The appliance, its individual shut-off valve, and pressure regulator must be
disconnectedfromthegassupplypipingsystemduringanypressuretestingof
thatsystematpressuresinexcessof1/2PSI(3.5kPa).
g. Theappliancemustbeisolatedfromthegassupplypipingsystembyclosingits
individualmanualshut-offvalveduring anypressuretestingofthegassupply
pipingsystemattestpressureequaltoorlessthan1/2PSI(3.5kPa).
3. Flexible Connections:
Iflocalcodespermit,CSAorULdesign-certied,exiblemetalapplianceconnectoris
recommendedforconnectingthisrangetothegassupplyline.DoNotkinkordamage
theexibleconnectorwhenmovingtherange.Thepressureregulatorhas1/2”NPT
femalepipethreads.Youwillneedtodeterminethettingsrequired,dependingonthe
sizeofyourgassupplyline,exiblemetalconnectorandshutoffvalve.
4. Rigid Pipe Connections:
Ifrigidpipeisusedasagassupplyline,acombinationofpipettingsmustbeusedto
obtainanin-lineconnectiontotherange.Allstrainsmustberemovedfromthesupply
andfuellinessorangewillbelevelandinline.
• Use joint compounds and gaskets that are resistant to action of natural or
propanegasonallmalepipethreads.
• Do not over tighten gas tting when attaching to pressure regulator. Over
tighteningmaycrackregulator.
5. Leak Testing:
IMPORTANT:Leaktestingoftheapplianceshallbeconductedasfollows:
• After nal gas connection is made, turn on manual gas valve and test all
connectionsingassupplypipingandapplianceforgasleakswithasoapywater
solution.Duringthistestallappliancegasvalveshavetobeclosed.
• Inordertoavoidpropertydamageorseriouspersonalinjury,neveruseaIighted
match.Ifaleakispresent,tightenjointorunscrew,applymorejointcompound,
tightenagainandretestconnectionforleak.

CONVERSION TO LP/PROPANE GAS (OR CONVERSION BACK TO THE ORIGINAL GAS -
NATURAL GAS)
Everyrangeisprovidedwithasetofinjectorsforthevarioustypesofgas.
Selecttheinjectorstobereplacedaccordingtothe“INJECTORSTABLE”.
Thenozzlediameters,expressedinhundredthsofamillimetre,aremarkedonthebodyofeachinjector.
CAUTION: Save the injectors removed from the appliance for future use.
SETTING THE PRESSURE REGULATOR
Thepressureregulatorisaccessiblebyremovingthestoragedrawer;thepressureregulatorispositionedontherearrightsideofthe
range(g.2.9).
Toremovethestoragedrawer:
1. Openthedrawercompletely(g.2.8)
2. Movedowntheleverofleftguide(g.2.8a)anduptheleverofrightguide(g.2.8b).
3. Removethedrawerholdingtheleversinthesameposition(g.2.8).

Ret the storage drawer:
1. Insertthedrawerguidesintotherangeguides(g.2.10).

2. Unscrewthe“A”component,reverseandscrewitaccording
totheLP/PROPANE(orNATURALGAS)regulation.

OPERATIONS TO BE PERFORMED WHEN
SUBSTITUTING THE INJECTORS OF THE
COOKTOP BURNERS
• Removethepansupports,theburnercapsandtheame
spreaders.
• Using a wrench substitute the nozzle injectors “J1”, “J2”,
“J3”and“J4”(gs.2.11,2.12,2.13)withthosemostsuitable
forthekindofgasforwhichitistobeused.
• Ret the ame spreaders, the burner caps and the pan
supports.
The burners are conceived in such a way so as not to require
the regulation of the primary air.
