Check that the motor is compatible with the associated brackets or accessories and that it is
correctly installed.
Switch off the power supply.
Connect the motor according to the information in the table below.
IMPORTANT: The limits must be preconfigured during the fabrication of the shade and not during the final installation.
¡Warning!
VTi®Celtic motors are weather resistant in a protected environment (ex.: covered terrace), but not
waterproof and therefore the motor head should not be exposed to direct rainfall.

Pairing the motor with the remote control
DO NOT SET LIMITS USING A DRILL
ONLY USE THE PLASTIC HEXDRIVER THAT
COMES WITH THE MOTOR TO SET THE LIMITS
1. Turn OFF the AC power input. Then select the
desired channel and press and hold the up button
on the remote control 3 s. Then, turn ON the AC
power. The motor will “jog” once.

“jogs”. The motor is now paired with the remote
control.

Checking the direction of rotation
This function must be done before setting the limits and is convenient when the need arises to
change the rotation of the motor. For example, when pressing the up button on the remote control
the shade goes down, or when pressing the down button, the shade goes up.
1. Press and hold the stop button for about 5 s
until the motor “jogs”.

Setting or modifying the upper limit

Adding an additional remote control or
“cloning” a channel
1. Using the previously programmed Vertilux
remote, select the desired channel using the
channel selector button, then press and hold the
stop button for about 5 s until the motor “jogs”.
2. Using a new remote, select the desired
channel using the channel selector button, and
then press the up button until the motor “jogs”.
Vertilux shades are now paired with the new
remote or channel.

A previously programmed remote can be used in order to add a new remote or operating channel.
Also, you can copy one channel to another in the same remote control using this procedure.
Changing to tilt or jog mode
Tilt or jog mode initiates a short motor movement when pressing either up or down buttons.
The tilt or jog mode is convenient for Venetian Blinds, Wood Blinds and Neolux®Dual Shades
since it allows the jogging or tilting of the slats in a more precise way. When this mode has been
programmed, the up or down button must be pressed for 3 s to return to the motor’s original
setting, otherwise when you press the up and down button the motor will do short movements.
Repeat the same procedure if you want to return to the tilt or jog mode.
2. Release the stop button and press it again for
about 2 s. The motor will “jog” again.
The tilt or jog mode has been programmed.

Disconnect all the motors from the power supply except the one you want to delete on the
remote control.
Unlinking the motor from the remote control
1. Press the stop button for approximately 5 s
until the motor “jogs”.
2. Press and hold the programming button for
about 7 s. The motor will “jog”, and in a few
seconds the motor will “jog” two more times.
The motor is now unlinked from the remote
control.

2. Press and hold the programming button for
about 2 s until the motor “jogs”.The selected
channel has been deleted. Motors previously
linked to this channel are not linked anymore.
1. Select the desired channel using the
channel selector button,and press and hold the
stop button for about 5 s until the motor “jogs”.
Deleting a single motor or channel
This is a convenient feature when there has been a programming mistake and it is required to
delete the programming from a single channel. Also, if you want to delete a programmed motor in
a single channel, turn off the power supply of all motors previously programmed in this channel
except the one you want to delete and follow this procedure.

Troubleshooting guide
Problem
Motor does not respond to the remote
control or motor does not work.
Motor is sluggish lifting the shade and
sometimes stops before completing the
cycle.
The motor stops suddenly while working.
When lifting a group of shades they
stop before completing the cycle.
The motor is noisy.
The upper or lower limits cannot be set to
the desired position. (This often happens
with Neolux®Dual Shades or very large
roller shades).
• Check for correct voltage on the outlet and/or the circuit
breaker.
• Make sure the electrical installation was made according
to the wiring table on page 2.
• Change the battery in your remote.
• Check the maximum weight capacity of the motor to
make sure the motor used can handle the load.
• The crown is not properly fitted to the tube.
• The motor has exceeded thermal overheat protection.
Wait for the motor to cool down for approximately 15 min.
• The circuit could be overloaded and the motors are
shutting down on overheat protection. Make sure there are
no more than 5 motors per 15 A breaker or additional
loads.
• The drive and the crown are not well adapted to the tube.
• The shade is not snug between the brackets.
• Debris, screws or other items are in your tube.
Note: The noise level of any motorized shade installed in a cassette or
fascia will always be higher. Take into consideration that a cassette is an
enclosed structure that will behave like an echo chamber.
• The motor has reached its maximum number of turns.
Take into consideration the maximum length of the shade
will be:

*The maximum # of turns can be found on each motor label.
• For very large shades use a motor with electronic limits.

Desconecte la fuente de alimentación. Realice las conexiones eléctricas del motor de acuerdo al

IMPORTANTE: Los límites deben ser preconfigurados durante la fabricación de la cortina y no durante la instalación final.

Los motores VTi®Celtic de Vertilux son resistentes a la intemperie, pero no son a prueba de agua,

Luego seleccione el canal donde desea enlazar
el motor. Mantenga presionado el botón de
subida y luego de 3 s conecte el motor a la
fuente de alimentación. El motor realizará un
“movimiento”.
2. Presione el botón de subida nuevamente hasta
que el motor realice un “movimiento”.
Compruebe que el motor se encuentra enlazado
al control remoto.
No martille ni taladre el motor, puede afectar su funcionamiento y anular la garantía.
El uso de un taladro de alta velocidad puede causar daños permanentes al mecanismo interno del
motor y anular la garantía del mismo.

Esta función es conveniente cuando la dirección de rotación del motor necesita ser cambiada; es
decir, cuando al presionar el botón de subida, la cortina comienza a bajar o viceversa. Tenga en
cuenta que de ser necesario, usted debe cambiar la rotación del motor antes de configurar los
límites superior e inferior.
Sentido horario: incrementa el trayecto.
Sentido antihorario: disminuye el trayecto.

indica el sentido de rotación del motor.

Un control remoto previamente programado puede utilizarse para añadir un nuevo control remoto
como una réplica del primero. Adicionalmente, también es posible copiar un canal a otro en un
mismo control remoto o en un control remoto adicional utilizando el mismo procedimiento
descrito a continuación.
Adicionar un nuevo
control remoto o “clonar” un canal
1. Utilizando un control remoto previamente
programado, seleccione el canal que desea copiar
y mantenga presionado el botón de parada por
aproximadamente 5 s hasta que el motor realice
un “movimiento”.
2. Utilizando el nuevo control remoto, seleccione
el canal donde desea realizar la copia y mantenga
presionado el botón de subida hasta que el motor
realice un “movimiento”. El motor ahora está
configurado en el nuevo control remoto o canal.
Cuando la función de giro de lamas está configurada el motor realiza pequeños movimientos al
presionar los botones de subida o bajada. Esta función es conveniente para las cortinas venecianas,
persianas de madera o cortinas enrollables duales Neolux®ya que permite el giro de las lamas con
mayor precisión. Cuándo esta función está programada, los botones de bajada osubida deben ser
presionados por 3 s si desea que el motor alcance sus límites superior oinferior (en vez de realizar
cortos movimientos, rota de forma continua hasta alcanzar sus límites). Para borrar la función de
giro de lamas repita el mismo procedimiento que se describe para configurarla.

2. Libere el botón de parada y vuelva a presionarlo
por aproximadamente 2 s hasta que el motor
vuelva a realizar un “movimiento”.
La función de giro de lamas ha sido configurada.

aproximadamente 5 s hasta que el motor realice
un “movimiento”.

Desconecte todos los motores de la fuente de alimentación excepto el que desea eliminar en el
control remoto.
Borrar el motor del control remoto
1. Presione el botón de parada por
aproximadamente 5 s hasta que el motor realice
un “movimiento”.
2. Libere el botón de parada y presione el botón
de programación por aproximadamente 7 s . El
motor realizará un “movimiento” y luego realizará
2“movimientos” más en ambas direcciones. El
motor ha sido borrado del control remoto.

Borrar un motor de un canal o
borrar un canal
Esta función es conveniente cuando se ha cometido un error durante la programación y se
requiere borrar un solo canal. También se aplica si se desea borrar un motor de un canal
específico. Desconecte de la corriente todos los motores excepto el que desea borrar y
siga el procedimiento.
2. Libere el botón de parada ypresione el botón
de programación por aproximadamente 2 s hasta
que el motor realice un “movimiento”.
El canal ha sido borrado. Todos los motores
asociados a este canal que se encuentren
conectados a la fuente de alimentación han sido
borrados.
1. Selecione el canal deseado, luego
mantenga presionado el botón de parada por
aproximadamente 5 s hasta que el motor realice
un “movimiento”.

Problema Causa probable y solución
Asegúrese de realizar una correcta instalación para evitar
las posibles causas descritas a continuación:
• La rueda motriz y la corona no están bien adaptadas al tubo.
• El sistema no está bien confinado entre los brackets.
• Existen restos de limalla de aluminio dentro del tubo.
Nota: El nivel de ruido de una cortina motorizada instalada en un casete
o fascia siempre será mayor. Tenga en cuenta que un casete es una
estructura cerrada que se comportará como una cámara de eco.
El motor hace mucho más ruido que el
habitual.
• Revise que los niveles de voltaje de entrada en el circuito
que alimenta el motor estén en el rango permisible.
• Asegúrese de que la instalación eléctrica se haya realizado
de acuerdo con las instrucciones de la tabla de conexiones
eléctricas de la página 12.
• Cambie la batería del control remoto.
El motor no responde al control remoto o
simplemente no está trabajando.
• Verifique que no esté superando la capacidad de carga
máxima del motor. Utilice un modelo de mayor torque si
fuera necesario.
• La corona no está ajustada al tubo.
El motor ha estado operando por más de 4 min y ha
activado su mecanismo de protección contra
sobrecalentamiento. Espere a que se enfríe el motor
(15 min aproximadamente).
El motor levanta la cortina lentamente o
se detiene antes de completar el ciclo.
El motor se ha detenido repentinamente
durante su funcionamiento.
• El motor ha alcanzado su máximo número de vueltas.
Tenga en cuenta que la longitud máxima de la cortina
será igual a:

*El máximo # de vueltas aparece especificado en la etiqueta de cada motor.
• Para cortinas de grandes dimensiones utilice un motor
con límites electrónicos.
Los límites superior o inferior no pueden
ser configurados en la posición deseada.
(Usualmente ocurre en cortinas Neolux®
Dual Shades o cortinas enrollables de
gran longitud).
El circuito podría estar sobrecargado y los motores se
están apagando por protección contra sobrecalentamiento.
Asegúrese de que no haya más de 5motores por circuito
eléctrico de 15 A o cargas adicionales compartiendo el
mismo circuito al que están conectados los motores.
Al operar varios motores al mismo
tiempo en un canal, se detiene
repentinamente uno o algunos de ellos
antes de completar el ciclo de subida o
bajada.
