9. Description of the App interface
The devices paired in the app communicate with a bidirectional protocol.
Thus, the app not only sends commands, but also receives information
from the devices.
This means that almost all actions performed by devices are also dis-
played in the interface. The app informs the user about these actions
through messages on the top right of the screen.
Will be shown when starting the app.
In the login screen the account and the system language can be selected.
a) Account Predefined user is called “admin”.
This account can create additional users.
The input field for users acts with an auto-
complete. This means that only the first letter
of your user(s) needs to be entered and they
are automatically proposed.
b) Password The password for the admin user is: admin1234.
The passwords of the self-created users are
freely definable.
c) Language

The use of Alexa an active internet connection is required.
To connect the VHA Smart Controller to a web-enabled network, either
connect an Ethernet cable or connect the controller wirelessly, as de-
scribed above.
NOTE:
The device (e.g., smartphone) connected to the „Vestamatic AP“

Configure connection to Alexa
– Log in to the Alexa app with your Amazon account and install the
Vestamatic VHA Smart Controller Skill.
To do this, simply follow the steps in the Amazon app.
– After successfully adding the skill, give Alexa the following command:
“Alexa ... tell controller to initialize!”
Alexa will give you a feedback whether the initialization was successful.
– You will then receive an e-mail with an 8-digit code. Enter this code in
the input field of the Vestamatic app.
– If the transmission was successful, you will receive a response in the app.
You can now control your devices with voice commands.
For an overview of possible voice commands, please refer to the skill
description in the Alexa app.
NOTE:
The verification code will be sent to the e-mail address that is also
used in the Amazon account.
If a wrong code is transmitted several times, the configuration will
be blocked temporarily.
