Mounting Guide

1) Connect power to the ValidiKey 2 vault and open the tray door.
Do not allow the door to close. Disconnect power and any other
cabling to the vault.
2) Unscrew the two screws next to the key bezels in the key tray
shown in Figure 1 and set them aside.
3) Gentlyprythecornertabsupwithaat-bladedscrewdriverasin
Figure 2. Slide the front assembly (Figure 3) of the vault up and
out from the mounting box (Figure 4).
4) The accompanying mounting template can be used to mark the
positioning of the cable access cutout and the screw holes. The
tray door will need at least 1.25 inches (3.175 cm) of clearance to
open. The ValidiKey 2 vault is designed to be mounted on a single
or double gang electrical box with #6 screws. Use two screws
for a single gang box and four screws for a double gang box. M3
screws can be used if they are compatible with the electrical box.
5) Mount and secure the mounting box.
6) Feed cabling through the cutout and connect to the front
assembly.
7) Seat the front assembly back into the mounting box until the
corner tabs snap into place. Do not allow the door to close.
Warning: Make sure the vault has power and works
properly before installing further!
8) Re-securethefrontassemblywiththekeytrayscrews.
