Operation
1. Switch on
Insert the power supply into the ‘DC in’ jack on the back of the radio. Alternatively,
put 4 C sized batteries into the battery compartment (also on the back of the radio).
Turn the power switch on the back to ‘ON’. The ‘View Quest’ logo will appear on
the screen. The radio will automatically start searching for Wifi networks; please
wait whilst this is processing. When the search is complete, there will be a number
of valid network options shown to you on the LCD screen. (If the network search
has already been performed, it will skip the network list interface and automatically
select and enter the network used last time), press or or rotate the
SELECTION DIAL to scroll to network, press the SELECTION DIAL to enter into
this network.
How to input network password?
To input password, press or button or rotate the SELECTION DIAL to
choose characters, press button to move on to the next character,
press button to move back and therefore delete character. Press the
SELECTION DIAL to complete password entry.
2. FM
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to enter the main menu. Rotate
the SELECTION DIAL or buttons to choose FM, then press the
SELECTION DIAL to enter into FM mode. You can also press the MODE button to
reach the FM function.
Manual scan:in FM mode, press the button to search up or to search
down. One press will adjust thefrequency by50KHZ.
Auto scan: in FM mode, press and hold the button for roughly 2
seconds, to autoscan forward. To autoscan backwards, press and hold the
. When the radio detects a clear signal for a station, it will stop
searching automatically and play.
Preset stations: to preset your favourite radio stations press and hold the FAV
button until the preset icon and preset numbers appear on the screen, press the
/ buttons or rotate the SELECTION DIAL to navigate to the number you
would like to preset, then press the SELECTION DIAL to confirm the preset. There
are 20 preset stations possible.
To get to a preset station: in FM mode, press the FAV button, the preset number
will be shown on the screen, press the / button or rotate the
SELECTION DIAL to get to the preset number you are after, then press the
SELECTION DIALto confirm.Now enjoy your favouriteradio station!
3. DAB/DAB+
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to DAB/DAB+ and

press the SELECTION DIAL to confirm. You can also press the MODE button to
reach the DAB/DAB+ function.
The unit will autoscan DAB or DAB+ stations automatically. The station names
and numbers will be shown on the screen after the autoscan has finished. Press
the / buttons or rotate the SELECTION DIAL to get to the station you
are looking for, then press the SELECTION DIAL to confirm. Now just sit back and
listen!
Scanning stations: in DAB/DAB+ mode, press button to
re-scan for stations. The radio will show a warning: Delete station list Yes/No to
check if you would like to delete the current program list.
If you choose ‘Yes’ the program list that was loaded before will be deleted and it
will begin a new station scan. The new station names and numbers will be shown
on the screen when the scan finishes.
If you choose NO, the program list that was loaded before will be maintained and
new stationswill be searched for and added to the existing list.
4. iPod
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to iPod and press the
SELECTION DIAL to confirm. You can also press the MODE button to reach the
iPod function.
Release the iPod/iPhone dock by pressing the View Quest logo, and dock your
iPod/iPhone. It will begin to play your tracks automatically. Press the
button to play or pause. Press the or button to select
next track or the last track. Press and hold the button to fast forward
or the button to rewindthe track.
5. AUX
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to AUX and press the
SELECTION DIAL to confirm. You can also press the MODE button to reach the
AUX mode.
In “AUX” mode, you can play audio files by plugging an audio source into the
‘aux-in’ jack on the back of the unit.
6. TuneIn
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to TuneIn and press
the SELECTION DIAL to confirm. You can also press the MODE button to reach
the TuneIn mode.
You will see the following selections on the LCD:

*This is an internet radio mode. Before you select this mode, please check you are
connected toa Wi-Fi network.
*The defaultinternet station server is: http://tunein.com(TuneIn)
7 Media Center (UPNP)
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to Media Center and
press the SELECTION DIAL to confirm. You can also press the MODE button to
reach the UPNP mode.
On your PC
◇You need Windows Media Player 11 or higher version installed on your PC.
Start Windows Media Player, select ‘media share’ in media database and mark “√”
in Shared Media Position. Set shared files in Setting, confirmand quit.
◇Your PC must be within LAN
◇Your media files must be in the default folder of Windows Media Player.
UPnP
Select UPnP by pressing the SELECTION DIAL, here you will see the name of
your PC, continue to press the SELECTION DIAL to access and play your media
files.
Information Center
With the unit powered on, press the MENU button to get to the main menu. Using
the / or by rotating the SELECTION DIAL, scroll to Information Center
and press theSELECTION DIAL to confirm.
Here you can check the weather worldwide, stock information from the main stock
exchange and system information of the unit.
1. Weather Information
To check the weather scroll to Weather Information and press the SELECTION
DIAL to confirm. Here you can select your geographical region, country, and city,
to see theweather in your area.
Once you have reached the weather display you can press the SELECTION DIAL
or button to have the option whether to add your weather
information to the Standby Display or not. To activate this press the SELECTION
DIAL to add it to the standby display.
In the city weather information area, press / button to see the weather
reportfor the current and next 4days.
◇In standby mode, if the weather report display has been activated, the display
will alternate between “current time” and “current weather” every 10 seconds. You
can also press the SELECTION DIAL to switch them quickly.
◇In standby mode, the unit will display the weather information and maintain

internet connection.
◇In standby mode the screen can display the weather of the current day, or for
the next 4 days. Press the or button to switch from the
current weather report to reports for the next 4 days.
2. Financial Information
To check the stock markets scroll to Stock Index Information and press the
SELECTION DIAL to confirm. Here you can see a list of financial markets, use
/ button or the SELECTION DIAL to scroll to the market of your choice.
The market information will automatically scroll across the screen showing the
relevant information.
3. System Information
To check the software version or wireless information scroll to System Information
and press the SELECTION DIAL to confirm. Here you can select Version for
information on the software, or Wireless Info to check your wireless information
such as MAC; ID; IP etc.

To change user settings scroll to Configuration andpress the SELECTION DIAL

Here you can search networks automatically. The network list will be shown when
the search is complete, simply select your chosen network and input password if

will move back by1 hour.
2-5 GMT (02:41AM) server time
When the internet radio is turned on, and there is no network connected, the time
will be set automatically as 12:00AM. If it is connected to a network, the unit will
show GMT, unless you have set the time manually before when it will show real
time according to the variance between the time set before and the GMT time.

3 Alarm
Menu →Configuration →Alarm
3-1 Alarm 1 (Turn off)
3-1.1TurnOn
Press the SELECTION DIAL to set Alarm 1. Here you can set the days and the
time the alarm will function as well as your preferred alarm sound. Within ‘Repeat’
select Everyday to select all and then individually remove days by scrolling and
pressing the SELECTION DIAL on the relevant day. Alternatively select Once and
scroll and press the SELECTION DIAL on your chosen day. Within ‘Time’ use the
SELECTION DIAL and and buttons to set the alarm
time. Within ‘Sound’ scroll and press the SELECTION DIAL to choose required
alarm sound – the default sound is Melody.
Press to return to last menu level after you have finished setting your
alarms.

3-3 NAP Alarm (Turn off)
Nap alarmtime options: Turn Off; 5 mins；10 mins；20 mins；30 mins；60 mins；
90 mins；120 mins
Select Turn Offto turn off timing function:
●The countdown begins after you have finished setting the alarm. When the
countdown has finished, the unit will switch into standby mode or ring
automatically.
3-4 Alarm Volume
Use the SELECTION DIAL to scroll and set the volume asrequired.
Default settingis 15
◆When the alarm sounds press any button to turn off the current alarm and stay in
standby mode.
◆The alarm setting will only work once you have quit the alarm set menu.

Use SELECTION DIAL to set the working status of FM to Monoor Stereo
10 Login TuneIn
To use this setting you must register for an account with http://tunein.com (Tune
in), and preset your favorite stations within your privateaccount.
10-1 Login TuneIn
Input your private account name and password, press the SELECTION DIAL to
confirm, then you can go to your private registered account and listen to your
favoriteinternet stations.
10-2 Logout TuneIn
To logout press the SELECTION DIAL and delete your account name and
password to avoid information disclosure.
11 DLNA Setup
Use SELECTION DIAL and / buttons to change device name
12 SoftwareUpdate: For factory use only
13 Reset - Use SELECTION DIAL to restore unit to default settings
Battery Use
The unit can be powered by 4* C sized batteries. Please pay attention
to the following points when using battery power :
1. When the battery power is running low the LCD backlight will flash and
the sound will distort. Please change to new batteries.
2. When you are using battery power, please turn the switch at the back
of the unit to OFF when you are not using your radio so as to reduce
power consumption.
3. Please remove batteries from the unit if the unit is out of use for a long
time to avoid liquid leakage and damage to the unit.
4. This unit cannot charge batteries.

Fonctionnement
1. Allumez
Insérez le bloc d’alimentation dans la prise ‘DC in’ sur le dos dela
Retro. Alternativement, mettrez 4 piles C dans le compartiment
batterie (aussi sur le dos de l’appareil). Appuyez l’interrupteur
ON/OFF (Marche/Arrêt) sur le dos de l’appareil à ‘ON’. Le logo
‘View Quest’ va apparaître sur l’écran. La Retro va commencer à
rechercher automatiquement les réseaux Wifi; vous pourriez avoir à
attendre. Lorsque la recherche est terminée, les options de réseau
valides seront montrés sur l’écran LCD. (Si vous avez déjà
recherché des réseaux, l’appareil se connecte automatiquement au
réseau qui a été précédemment utilisée), appuyez ou ou
tournez le SELECTION DIAL pour choisir un réseau, appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour entrer ce réseau.
Comment entrer un mot de passe?
Pour entrer un mot de passe, appuyez les boutons ou ou
tourner le SELECTION DIAL pour choisir les lettres, appuyez le
bouton pour avancer à la lettre prochaine, appuyez le
bouton pour revenir à la lettre précédente. Appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour terminer.
2. FM
Lorsque l’appareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
entrer le menu principal. Tourner le SELECTION DIAL ou les
boutons pour choisir FM, puis appuyez le SELECTION
DIAL pour entrer le mode FM. Alternativement, appuyez le bouton
MODE pour choisir FM.
Rechercher manuellement: En mode FM, appuyez les boutons
ou . Appuyez une fois pour ajuster la fréquence par 50KHZ.
Rechercher automatiquement: En mode FM, rester appuyé sur le
bouton pendant 2 secondes pour avancer. Pour revenir,
rester appuyé sur le bouton . Quand la radio détecte une
station, la station va commencer à jouer.
Stations sauvegardées: Pour enregistrer votre stations favorites,
rester appuyé sur le bouton FAV pendant le symbole “preset” et les
numéros apparaissent sur l’écran, appuyez les boutons /
ou tourner le SELECTION DIAL pour choisir le numéro vous voulez
enregistrer, puis appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
Vous pouvez sauvegarder 20 stations.
Pour trouver une station sauvegardée: En mode FM, appuyez le
bouton FAV , puis appuyez les boutons / ou tourner le
SELECTION DIAL pour choisir une station sauvegardée, puis
appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
3. DAB/DAB+
Lorsque l’appareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons / ou

tourner le SELECTION DIAL, choisir DAB/DAB+ et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Alternativement, appuyez le
bouton MODE pour choisir le fonction DAB/DAB+.
La radio va rechercher les stations DAB or DAB+ automatiquement.
Les noms et numéros du stations va apparaitre sur l’écran après la
recherché est terminée. Appuyez les boutons / ou tourner le
SELECTION DIAL pour trouver la station, puis appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
Pour rechercher les stations: En mode FMDAB/DAB+, appuyez
le bouton pour rechercher les stations. Une alerte va
apparaitre sur l’écran: Delete station list？Yes/No (Supprimer la liste?
Oui/Non) pour vérifier si vous souhaitez supprimer la liste des
stations.
Si vous choisissez ‘Yes’ la liste des stations va être supprimée et
une recherche nouvelle va commencer. Les noms et numéros
nouveaux va apparaitre sur l’écran quand la recherche est fini.
Si vous choisissez NO, les nouvelles stations seront ajoutées à la
liste existante.
4. iPod
Lorsque l’appareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons /ou tourner
le SELECTION DIAL, trouvez le mode iPod et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Alternativement vous pouvez
appuyer le bouton MODE pour trouver le fonction iPod.
Libérez le dock iPod/iPhone par appuyant le symbole View Quest
sur la face avant de la Retro, et insérez votre iPod/iPhone. Votre
musique va commencer a jouer automatiquement. Appuyez le
bouton pour jouer ou pauser. Appuyez les boutons
ou pour avancer ou revenir. Rester appuyé sur
le bouton pour avance rapide ou pour retour
rapide.
5. AUX
Lorsque l’appareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons / ou tourner
le SELECTION DIAL, trouver le mode AUX et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Alternativement, appuyez le
bouton MODE pour choisir le mode AUX.
En mode “AUX”, vous pouvez jouer les fichiers audios en branchant
une source audio dans la prise ‘aux-in’ sur le dos de la Retro.
6. TuneIn
Lorsque l’appareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons / ou tourner
le SELECTION DIAL, trouver le mode TuneIn et appuyez le

SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Alternativement, appuyez le
bouton MODE pour choisir le mode TuneIn.
Vous allez voir les selections suivantes sur l’écran:

3. Search Stations (Rechercher les stations)
4. History (L’histoire)
* Avant de sélectionner ce mode, vous devez être connecté à un
réseau WiFi.

7 Media Center (UPNP)
Lorsque la Retro est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons / ou tourner
le SELECTION DIAL, trouver le mode Media Center et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Alternativement, appuyez le
bouton MODE pour choisir le mode UPNP.
Sur votre ordinateur
◇Vous avez besoin de Windows Media Player 11 ou une version
supérieure installé sur votre ordinateur. Commencez Windows
Media Player et permettre le partage des médias.
◇Votre ordinateur doit être au sein du réseau locale
◇Votre fichiers médias doit être dans le dossier défaut du Windows
Media Player.
UPnP
Sélectionnez UPnP par appuyant le SELECTION DIAL, vous allez
voir le nom de votre ordinateur, continuez à appuyant le
SELECTION DIAL pour accéder et jouer votre fichiers.
Centre d’informations
Lorsque l’aapareil est allumée, appuyez le bouton MENUpour
accéder le menu principal. Appuyez les boutons / ou tourner
le SELECTION DIAL, trouver le mode Information Center et
appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
Ici vous pouvez consulter la météo globale, accéder les informations
sur la bourse et accéder les informations sur l’appareil.
1. La météo
Pour consulter la météo choisissez Weather Information et appuyez
le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer. Ici vous pouvez sélectionner
votre zone géographique, pays et ville, et de voir la météo de votre
région.
Lorsque vous avez accedé l’information météo, vous pouvez
appuyez le SELECTION DIAL ou le bouton si vous voulez
ajouter votre météo à la page d’acceuil ou non. Pour l’ajouter,
appuyez le SELECTION DIAL.

Dans la zone de l'information météorologique, appuyez les boutons
/ pour voir le bulletin météo pour les 4 prochains jours.
◇En mode veille, si l'affichage météo a été activé, l'écran alterne
entre “temps actuel” et “conditions météorologiques actuelles" après
10 secondes. Vous pouvez également appuyer sur le SELECTION
DIAL pour les basculer rapidement.
◇En mode veille, l'appareil affiche les informations météorologiques
et maintenir une connexion internet.
◇En mode veille, l'écran peut afficher la météo de la journée en
cours, ou pour les 4 prochains jours. Appuyez les boutons
ou pour basculer entre la météo de la journée en cours,
ou pour les 4 prochains jours.
2. Informations sur la bourse
Pour accéder les informations sur la bourse, trouvez “Stock Index
Information” et appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
Utilisez les boutons / ou le SELECTION DIAL pour choisir le
marché de votre choix.
3. System Information
Pour accéder les informations sur la Retro, trouvez “System
Information” et appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.
Configuration
Pour modifier le réglages, trouvez “Configuration” et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer.

1-1 Configuration du réseau sans fil
Ici vous pouvez rechercher les réseaux automatiquement. La liste
des réseaux va apparaitre quand la recherché est fini, sélectionnez

3-1.1 Turn On (Allumer)
Appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour réglé le réveil Alarm 1. Ici vous
pouvez régler les jours et l’heure que le réveil sera fonctionner,
aussi le type du son. Dans ‘Repeat’ sélectionnez Everyday pour
sélectionner tous les jours, puis rétirer le jour par tourner le
SELECTION DIAL et s’appuyant sur le jour correct. Alternativement
sélectionnez Once et appuyez le SELECTION DIAL sur le jour
correct. Dans ‘Time’ utilisez le SELECTION DIAL et les boutons
et pour régler l’heure du réveil. Dans ‘Sound’
tournez et appuyez le SELECTION DIAL pour choisir le son correct.
Appuyez pour revenir le menu précédent quand vous
êtes fini.

Entrez votre nom de compte et votre mot de passe, et appuyez le
SELECTION DIAL pour confirmer et accéder votre stations

10-2 Quittez TuneIn
Pour quitter, appuyez le SELECTION DIAL et supprimer votre nom
de compte et votre mot de passe.
