INSTALLATION
1.Grounding orPolarization
Yourproductmaybeequipped withapolarized alternating-currentline plug (aplug having oneblade widerthan the
other).Thisplug will fitintothe poweroutletonlyone way.Thisisasafetyfeature.If you areunabletoinsertthe
plug fullyintothe outlet, tryreversing the plug.If theplug shouldstill fail tofit, contactyourelectrician toreplaceyour
obsoleteoutlet.Donotdefeatthe safetypurposeofthe polarized plug.
2.Overloading
Donotoverload wall outlets,extension cords,orintegralconveniencereceptaclesasthiscan resultinarisk offire
orelectricshock.
3.PowerCordProtection
Powersupplycordsshouldbe routed sothattheyarenotlikelytobe walked on orpinched byitemsplaced upon or
againstthem,paying particularattention tocordsatplugs,conveniencereceptacles,and the pointwheretheyexit
fromthe product.
4.Ventilation
Slotsand openingsaround thecabinetareprovidedforventilation.
Toensurereliableoperation oftheproductandtoprotectitfromoverheating,theseopeningsmustnotbe blockedor
covered.
Donotblock the openingsbyplacing the producton abed,sofa,rug orothersimilarsurface.
Donotplacethe productinabuilt-ininstallation suchasabookcaseorrack unless properventilation isprovided or

AvoidexposuretheN1300 todirectsunlightorhightemperature.

6.Precautions
Sit at least 13" from your LCD display.
Avoidtouching thescreen.Skinoilsaredifficulttoremove.
Neverremove therearcover.YourLCD displaycontainshigh-voltage parts.You maybeseriouslyinjuredifyou
touchthem.
Avoidexposing yourLCD displaytodirectsunlightoranotherheatsource.OrientyourLCD displayawayfromdirect
sunlighttoreduceglare.
Always handleyourLCD displaywithcarewhen moving it.
PlaceyourLCDdisplayinawell-ventilated area.Donotplaceanything on yourLCDdisplaythatpreventsheat
dissipation.
Ensurethe area around the LCDdisplayisclean and free ofmoisture.
Donotplaceheavy objectson the LCD display,video cable,orpowercord.
If smoke,abnormalnoise,orstrange odorispresent, immediatelyswitchthe LCDdisplayoff and call yourdealeror
ViewSonic.It isdangeroustocontinue using the LCD display.

ANTENNA INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS
1.OutdoorAntennaGrounding
If an outside antenna orcablesystemisconnected tothe productbe surethe antenna orcablesystemisgrounded
soastoprovide someprotection againstvoltage surgesand built-up staticcharges,Article810 ofthe National
ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA 70,providesinformation withregardtopropergrounding ofthe mastand supporting
structure,grounding ofthe lead-inwiretoan antenna discharge unit, connection togrounding electrodes,and
requirementsforthe grounding electrode.
2.Lightning
Foradded protection forthisproductduring alightning storm,orwhen itisleft unattended and unused forlong
periodsoftime,unplug itfromthe wall outletand disconnectthe antenna orcablesystem.Thiswill preventdamage
tothe productdue tolightning and power-line surges.Donotdisconnectthe antenna orthe powercordduring a
heavy stormlighting maystrikewhileyou areholding the cablecord,causing seriousinjury;turnoff you LCD and
waitforthe wethertoimprove.
3.PowerLines
Anoutside antenna systemshouldnotbe located inthe vicinityofoverhead powerlinesorotherelectriclightor
powercircuits,orwhereitcan fall intosuchpowerlinesorcircuits,When installing an outside antenna system,
extremecareshouldbe taken tokeep fromtouching suchpowerlinesorcircuitsascontactwiththemmightbe fatal.

Cleaning theLCD Display
Make sure the LCD Display is turned off.
Never spray or pour any liquid directly onto the screen or case.
To cleanthescreen:
1Wipe the screen withaclean,soft, lint-free cloth.Thisremovesdustand otherparticles.
2Ifstillnotclean,applyasmallamountofnon-ammonia,non-alcoholbasedglasscleanerontoaclean,soft,
lint-free cloth,and wipe the screen.
To cleanthecase:
1Useasoft, drycloth.
2Ifstillnotclean,applyasmallamountofanon-ammonia,non-alcoholbased,mildnon-abrasive
detergentontoaclean,soft, lint-free cloth,then wipe the surface.

All the function settingsforyourLCD TVdisplay arecontrolled eitherviathe
remote controlorusing the properbuttonsunderneaththe frontpanel.
Press MENU keytodisplayOSDMenu,and press MENU keyagainwill change
menu page. OSDmenu may appear to be different, depend on the current source
input.
