Overview
Gas Leak can have an enormous impact in Domestic, so to protect from these kinds of incidences,
this system can be helpful. This True Safe Gas Cloud System (TSGC) is specially designed for
detecting gas leakage and gives early warnings to user on a mobile application. The TSGC-230
provides reliable gas detection for protection for Domestic kitchen, small offices pantry rooms,
etc.
TSGC-230 provides buzzer, LEDs for indications with cloud connectivity through Wi-Fi. It is
compatible with almost all type of Gas Detection like, LPG, CNG, PNG gases. It is used for
detecting gas Leakage from cylinders or pipelines and send their status on Cloud. This wall
mounted unit is compact and designed for low cost domestic applications as well as commercial
applications like hotel kitchens. One TEST switch is also provided for user to ensure working
status of system. Gas leakage indication is available for user to monitor gas level. One of
unique feature is detector is detection HEAT level also. If the temperature due to heat crosses
60 degree Celsius, the detector will generate an audible as well as LED indication to user.

2.
Device Description
TSGC230 divided into two parts. First circuits continually sense the surrounding Gas and second
use to send data to mobile App.

Installation Procedure
Pre-installation Checklist
Ensure that you have the following items with True Safe cloud Gas Leak Detector
True Safe unit.
Power supply adapter (5 VDC)
Test gas bottle (lighter)
Mounting screw and plug
User manual
Identifying place for True Safe cloud in the premises
Figure 1: For LPG detection
Note: LPG is heavier than air. It has tendency to settle down. Hence, when you are using LPG
cylinder, True Safe Cloud must be installed at 30cm height from the floor.
Figure 1
Fig 2: For CNG/PNG detection
Note: Natural gas (LNG/PNG/CNG) is lighter than air. Hence when you are using it, True
Safe must be installed 30cm below the ceiling.
Figure 2

Fixing the unit for LPG detection
TrueSafe cloud Detector has unique patented enclosure design. After selecting the right
location, fix the unit on the wall with the wall mounting plugs and screws provided with the
unit.
The unit can be installed either as shown in Fig 3 or as in Fig 4.
1.
It can be mounted on the front door of kitchen cabinet of the LPG Cylinder. This will
enable detection of gas leak from the cylinder as well as the gas stove.
Figure 3
Note: If True Safe is mounted on the door as shown above, power supply wire should be properly
routed so that it does not get pinched in the hinges while closing the door.
2.
If it is mounted behind gas cylinder, the cabinet for the gas must have grills in order to
detect gas leak from the gas stove also. Please refer the following diagram.
Figure 4
Locations to be avoided for installing True Safe
Very near to exhaust fan
By the side of a door or window
In an enclosed space: Many times, LPG detector is mounted on the wall, behind the
LPG cylinder, under the kitchen platform with the door without grill. This creates
confined space around the detector and cylinder, regulator and tube connecting it. In
such case, detector will effectively detect LPG leaks happening only in this confined
space. If there is LPG leak from the gas stove because of either faulty connection to the
tube or by leaving gas burner ON

Accidently without flame, LPG may not reach the confined area near the cylinder where
LPG Detector is installed and LPG Detector may not detect such leaks as gas molecules
do not reach the sensor. To avoid this, install as per Fig-1 or Fig-2 above.
Directly above the gas stove
Places where water can splash on the unit
Power ON TSGC230
5V 1 Amp adapter is provided with the device.
Once installation of TSGC230 is done, Connect micro USB cable to device
Connect adapter in 230V AC socket and Power ON
6.
Operation
Warm up period:
When device is Power ON or reset, gas sensor need to preheat for fixed duration. This mode
called as warm-up mode.
Device doesn’t sense Gas and test button didn’t work during warm-up mode
Device stays in warm-up mode for first 70s.
During this time Gas and heat LED blinks together.
Sense mode:
During this mode gas sensor sense the surrounding environment and give alerts if gas
detected.
When Gas is sensed above 2.5% LEL systems gives visual indication as per the LEL level on
the corresponding LED in
When gas leak is detected, system gives visual indication, audible alarm & sends the Alert to
user on portal.
The Gas Leak LED turns ON and an audible buzzer remains ON. Once the gas is dispersed,
alarms get reset
During this mode, Gas Leak and Heat LED flash alternately.
During Sense mode, TSGC230 measures the ambient temperature and gives visual
indication.
When the temperature rise above 60 C is detected, Heat LED turns ON and audible buzzer
remains ON.

11.
Dos and Don’t When Gas leak Detects
Do's:
If the gas leakage is severe, it is very dangerous for anybody to enter the premises. Call Fire
brigade / Gas dealer.
If there is a minor / moderate gas leakage- Turn off the knob, regulator, to stop gas supply.
Open all doors & windows.
Don'ts:
Do not panic.
Do not OFF / ON any electrical switch.
Do not light any kind of fire or lamp.
Following conditions must be avoided
1. Water Condensation
Indoor conditions, slight water condensation will influence sensors’ performance lightly.
However, if water condensation on sensors surface and keep a certain period, sensors’ sensitive will
be decreased.
2. Used in high gas concentration
No matter the sensor is electrified or not, if it is placed in high gas concentration for long time,
sensors characteristic will be affected. If lighter gas sprays the sensor, it will cause extremely
damage.
3. Long time storage
The sensors resistance will drift reversibly if it’s stored for long time without electrify, this drift is
related with storage conditions. Sensors should be stored in airproof bag without volatile silicon
compound. For the sensors with long time storage but no electrify, they need long galvanical aging
time for stability before using. The suggested aging time as follow:
Storage Time Suggested aging time
Less than one month No less than 7 days
4. Long time exposed to adverse environment
No matter the sensors electrified or not, if exposed to adverse environment for long time, such as
high humidity, high temperature, or high pollution etc., it will influence the sensors’ performance
badly.
5. Vibration
Continual vibration will result in sensors down-lead response then break. In transportation or
assembling line, pneumatic screwdriver/ultrasonic welding machine can lead this vibration
