SUFFOCATION HAZARD
Remove doors from your o d refrigerated drawer. Fai ure to do so can
resu t in chi d entrapment, which can cause death or brain damage.
IMPORTANT: Chi d entrapment and suffocation are not prob ems of the
past. Junked or abandoned refrigerated drawers are sti dangerous, even if
they wi sit for “just a few days.” If you are getting rid of your refrigerated
drawer, p ease fo ow the instructions be ow to he p prevent accidents.
BEFORE YOU THROW AWAY YOUR OLD REFRIGERATION PRODUCT:
•Take off the doors.
•Leave the shelves in pla e so that hildren may not easily limb inside.

DANGER
WARNING
A GFI shall be used if required by NFPA-70 (National Electric Code), federal/state/local la s, or local
ordinances.
• The required use of a GFI is normally related to the lo ation of a re epta le with respe t to any
signifi ant sour es of water or moisture.
• Viking Range Corporation will NOT warranty any problems resulting from GFI outlets whi h are not
installed properly or do not meet the requirements below.
If the use of a GFI is required, it should be:
• Of the re epta le type (breaker type or portable type NOT re ommended)
• Used with permanent wiring only (temporary or portable wiring NOT re ommended)
• On a dedi ated ir uit (no other re epta les, swit hes or loads in the ir uit)
• Conne ted to a standard breaker of appropriate size (GFI breaker of the same size NOT re ommended)
• Rated for Class A (5 mA +/- 1 mA trip urrent) as per UL 943 standard)
• In good ondition and free from any loose-fitting gaskets (if appli able in outdoor situations)
• Prote ted from moisture (water, steam, high humidity) as mu h as reasonably possible

AREA REQUIREMENTS

MUST BE INSTALLED IN AN AREA PROTECTED FROM THE ELEMENTS, SUCH AS WIND, RAIN, WATER (SPRAY OR
DRIP).
1. Pla e unit so the front side will be ompletely unobstru ted to provide proper air flow. The unit may be losed in
on the top and three sides, but the front MMUUSSTT BBEEunobstru ted for air ir ulation and proper operation.
Installation should be su h that the abinet an be moved for servi ing if ne essary.
2. Unit should be in a well ventilated area. Best results are obtained at temperatures between 55°F (12.8°C) and 80°F
(27°C) for built-in produ ts and 55°F (12.8°C) and 90°F (32°C) for freestanding produ ts.
3. Provisions for ele tri ity and water onne tion should be determined before pla ing unit in proper pla e.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Remove banding from bottom of arton. Lift arton up and off of the unit.
2. Remove all tape and pa kaging material from the outside and inside of the abinet.
3. Keep all arton pa kaging until your unit has been thoroughly inspe ted and found to be in good ondition.

Dis onne t power sour e before adjusting leveling legs. A abinet “anti-tip” devi e is mounted to the ba k of your
refrigerated drawer. If installation is a built-in under ounter appli ation, you do not need to apply this feature. If your
installation is a free-standing appli ation with no ounter top dire tly above the top of the refrigerated drawer, you
must apply this feature to prevent the unit from tipping forward when the drawers are pulled out. the “anti-tip” devi e
is atta hed at the ba k of ea h abinet. Please see installation instru tions supplied with the “anti-tip” devi e.
WARNING
LEG LEVELER INSTALLATION

1. Four leveling legs are pre-installed in the base of the unit at the fa tory.
2. The unit should be leveled from front to ba k and side to side. If floor
onditions do not allow the unit to sit level, adjust the leg levelers by turning
the required leg leveler ounter- lo kwise to in rease the height and lo kwise
to redu e the height.
WARNING
Do not lay unit on top, side, ba k, or front. If unit is a identally laid in
any position other than right side up, then the unit must remain in the
upright position for at least 24 hours before plugging the unit in.

FULL OVERLAY PANEL INSTALLATION
Step #1
1. A #10 pan head wood s rew should be used to properly
se ure the overlay panel. A total of 8 s rews will be
needed.
2. Use only pan head s rews.
3. Do not sele t a s rew that is longer than the wood
thi kness of the s rew lo ations.
4. Use re ommended pilot holes for the frame material.
(Use hart below.)

Step #2

(Note: The overlay panel may be installed without removing the drawer fronts from the drawer bodies, but the full
drawer assembly is not as easy to handle as the drawer front alone.)
1. Remove drawer from unit. Begin by
pulling out the drawer. Lo ate the
drawer lo k whi h an be found on the
outside of the abinet slide (Figure 1).
Push the ba k of the drawer lo k
forward and then down, releasing the
drawer from the abinet slide (Figure 2).
Repeat this on the opposite side of the
drawer. Lift the drawer up from the
slides at 90oto fully remove the drawer
from the abinet (Figure 3).
2. Remove drawer fronts. Do this by
removing the 8 phillips s rews and
washers se uring the drawer front to
the drawer body. Mark lightly with an
erasable marker the position of the
stainless drawer liner where it is se ured
to the stainless drawer before removing
s rews.
3. Remove the gasket from the drawer
front. Do this by pulling the gasket out
of the hannel that holds it to the
drawer front. This will expose the
learan e holes for mounting the
overlay panel.

1. Set the overlay panel on drawer front fa e and align edges. Clamp panel in position and mark pilot hole lo ations.
See Step #3 for nominal size and hole lo ations. Drill pilot holes (remove panel if ne essary, re-align and re- lamp
overlay to drawer fa e.)
2. Insert wood s rews through learan e holes and tighten to se ure overlay panel.
3. Reinstall gasket into hannel. Make sure the orners are inserted fully.

Align mounting holes on drawer body with mounting holes on drawer front. Align the door liner to the front flanges by
using the erasable marker alignment lines that were applied prior to removing the door from the drawer. Reinstall
phillips head s rews and washers. Snug down, but do not tighten fully, final adjustment of drawer front will be done
after reinstalling the drawer.

1. Fully extend drawer slides and pla e drawer on slides. Be sure that drawer sits evenly on both sides.
2. Lo k drawers into drawer slides. Push drawer lo ks down and then ba k to relo k the drawer into the slide.

1. Adjust drawer front to a hieve a 1/8” gap from the top of the drawer front to the top of the abinet or (for bottom
drawers) 1/8” from the top of the drawer front to the bottom of the top drawer, the drawer front should be entered
between the abinet edges.
