Vikta KomTilt -Quick User Guide
Before switching the KomTilt on
• Put person onto the bed, ensure the head is centred.
• Arrange pillows and supports as required
• If using a proling bed adjust back rest, knee break and height as required
• If bed rails are required ensure they are up and covered so there is no entrapment risk
Switch the KomTilt ON
• Press the black ON/OFF buon , on the end of the pump box
• When switched ON the red power light will appear also the Normal green light and the
• Operaonal green light, the Normal light will go out and come on again once fully inated.
• The Normal light will stay illuminated unless pressure drops
• If a cell comes detached or a tube pinched the alarm will sound, this can be reset by pushing the buon
The KomTilt is working
• The KomTilt will slowly and gently commence a balanced lateral moon.
• Reposioning from one side to the other (without iniang a roll)
• It is a 10-minute cycle from peak to peak
• The movement is slow and connuous
Switching the KomTilt OFF
• Press the black buon OFF, on the end of the pump box
• The air cells will auto-deate over about 90 seconds
The KomTilt will stay at
The KomTilt should always be switched OFF when:
• carrying out Moving and Handling tasks (turning, manual reposioning)
• Transferring in or out of bed.
Emergency e.g. - CPR
Press in the clips on the tube connectors & pull out
the tubes
(the air cells will deate immediately.)

What if?
No lights are showing even though the switch is on
• Check it is plugged in / Check plug is switched on / Try another plug socket
• Check there is not a power failure to that room / property
• If sll not working, contact your equipment provider
Green Light is on, but air cells are not inang
• Check air tubes are correctly aached to the pump – no kinks or restricons
• Check air Tubes are correctly aached to the air cells – no kinks or re-
stricons
• Check there is nothing (e.g. Bed, chair, hoist) squashing the tubing
Red light suddenly comes on during the cycle
• Check air tubes are correctly aached to the pump – not loose
• Check air Tubes are correctly aached to the air cells – not loose
• Check there are no splits in air tubes or air cells
