VERBINDUNG HERSTELLEN
1. Lassen Sie Ihr Wiedergabegerät in der „Bluetooth®“-Funktion nach Geräten suchen.
2. Das Soundsystem wird in dem Bluetooth®-Menü als „SOUND 2.0“ angezeigt.
Verbinden Sie nun Ihr Wiedergabegerät mit dem Soundsystem. Falls Sie aufgefordert werden
einen PIN einzugeben, tragen Sie bitte 0000 (vier mal Null) ein.
3. Starten Sie die gewünschte Musik auf Ihrem Wiedergabegerät.
4. Zum Beenden der Verbindung schalten Sie „Bluetooth®“ an Ihrem Wiedergabegerät wieder aus.
Das Verhalten von möglichen Parallelfunktionen Ihres Wiedergabegerätes während der Bluetooth®-Übertragung
entnehmen Sie bitte der Bedienungsanleitung Ihres Wiedergabegerätes.

KLANGTIPPS
GUTE KLANGQUALITÄT BEIM MUSIKKAUF ODER -DOWNLOAD
Sorgen Sie für satten und raumfüllenden Klang und laden Sie sich Ihre Lieblingstitel aus dem Internet in
der richtigen Qualität herunter. Wenn Sie Musik bei einem Downloadportal kaufen/herunterladen, sollten
Sie die höchstmöglich angebotene Bitrate wählen. Die meisten Portale bieten 256 Kbit/s an – dies gewährt
eine hohe Klangqualität. Um schlechte Klangqualität zu vermeiden, raten wir vom Umwandeln qualitativ
schlechter Audio- oder Videoclips mit zu niedriger Bitrate ab.
GUTE KLANGQUALITÄT BEIM UMWANDELN DER MUSIK IN DAS MP3-FORMAT
Wenn Sie sich Ihre eigenen Musik CD’s in das MP3-Format umwandeln, achten Sie bitte bei den Einstellungen
des Umwandlungsprogramms auf die gewünschte Bitrate. Je höher die Bitrate eingestellt ist, desto geringer ist
der Klangverlust. Schlechter Klang entsteht, wenn die Bitrate zu klein eingestellt ist oder der vorhandene Musik-
titel mit einer zu geringen Bitrate umgewandelt wurde.
BESTE KLANGQUALITÄT DURCH VERLUSTFREIE DATEIFORMATE
Den besten Klang erreichen Sie, wenn die Musik in einem verlustfreien Format wie z.B. AIFF oder WAV vorliegt.
Hierbei ist die Klangqualität wie bei einer gekauften CD.

Geräte, die mit Bluetooth® ausgestattet sind, unterstützen nicht zwangsweise auch das „Audio Video Remote Control
Profil“ (AVRCP) und die damit mögliche Steuerung des +Sound-Spiegels. Der +Sound-Spiegel arbeitet mit der Bluetooth®-
Version 3.0+EDR und unterstützt das A2DP-Profil (Voraussetzung für die Musikwiedergabe) und das AVRCP-Profil
(Voraussetzung für die Steuerung der Wiedergabe). Die Leistungsklasse 2 erlaubt Verbindungen bis zu 10m Reichweite.
Somit muss das Wiedergabegerät mindestens den Bluetooth®-Standard 3.0 (oder höher) und das A2DP Profil erfüllen,
sowie das AVRCP Profil unterstützen. Prüfen Sie bitte, ob das verwendete Wiedergabegerät diese Anforderungen erfüllt.

ANWENDUNGSHINWEISE
VERBINDUNG ZU BLUETOOTH® MOBILTELEFON ODER PC/LAPTOP
Beachten Sie, dass einige Mobiltelefone nicht über die Standard Bluetooth®-Suche verbunden werden können. In
diesem Fall starten Sie als zweiten Schritt die Musikwiedergabe Ihres Wiedergabegerätes und wählen Sie Bluetooth®-
Stereo Kopfhörer oder A/V Headset und starten Sie dann die Suche nach dem Gerät neu.
Wird mit dem Wiedergabegerät die maximle Anzahl verschiedener Bluetooth®-Verbindungen erreicht (vom Hersteller
abhängig), kann eine Kopplung fehlschlagen. In diesem Fall sollten die nicht benötigten Verbindungen gelöscht werden –
die Bluetooth®-Funktion deaktiviert und nach ca. 1 Minute wieder aktiviert werden.
ANRUFE WÄHREND DER WIEDERGABE
Während Musik abgespielt wird, können Sie jederzeit Anrufe empfangen. Bei Annahme eines Gesprächs wird die Musik-
ausgabe auf Stumm gestellt. Bei einigen Mobiltelefonen wird die Musikwiedergabe fortgesetzt, sobald der Anruf beendet
ist oder abgewiesen wurde. Bei einigen anderen Modellen muss jedoch die „Wiedergabe/Pause“ Taste gedrückt werden
oder die Audioübertragung zum +Soundsystem über das Menü Ihres Mobiltelefones neu gestartet werden.

MÖGLICHE FEHLERQUELLEN
MEIN WIEDERGABEGERÄT FINDET DAS SOUNDSYSTEM NICHT.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Schalterleuchte an Ihrem Spiegel leuchtet. Falls diese leuchtet und der Spiegel trotzdem
nicht gefunden wird, schalten Sie das +Soundsystem einmal aus und starten Sie das System neu. Schalten Sie ggf.
auch Ihr Gerät einmal ein und aus und versuchen Sie es dann erneut. Die Verbindung kann bis zu 2 Minuten dauern.
Überschreiten Sie mit Ihrem Wiedergabegerät die vom Hersteller angegebene Reichweite zum +Soundsystem, kann
dies zu Aussetzern in der Wiedergabe führen bzw. zur Unterbrechung der Übertragung. Da der +Sound-Spiegel nicht
mit mehreren Geräten gleichzeitig per Bluetooth® verbunden werden kann, achten Sie darauf, dass keine Verbindung
zu weiteren Geräten besteht.
WARUM IST DIE ANFANGSLAUTSTÄRKE NACH DEM EINSCHALTEN
MANCHMAL SEHR LAUT ODER SEHR LEISE?
Das Wiedergabegerät speichert die Lautstärkeneinstellung die zuletzt vorgenommen wurde.
Bitte achten Sie vor dem Einschalten auf die richtig eingestellte Lautstärke an Ihrem Gerät.

WARUM KLINGT DIE MUSIK AUF MEINEM +SOUND-SPIEGEL NICHT SO GUT WIE
ICH ES MIR VORSTELLE?
Musikstücke können in den verschiedensten Formaten und Qualitäten aufgenommen sein. Selbstverständlich haben
diese Einfluss auf die Qualität der Wiedergabe über den +Sound-Spiegel. Liegt eine schlechte Aufnahmequalität vor,
wird auch die Wiedergabe über Ihren +Sound-Spiegel die Qualität nicht verbessern können. Da das +Soundsystem
dazu entwickelt wurde, Musik auf einem klanglich hohen Niveau wiederzugeben, empfehlen wir Ihnen, die Musiktitel
in der bestmöglichen Qualität auf Ihrem bluetoothfähigen Wiedergabegerät zu speichern (siehe Klangtipps).
WARUM VERBINDET SICH MEIN ENDGERÄT NACH VERLASSEN DES
EMPFANGSBEREICHES NICHT MEHR MIT DEM RECEIVER?
• Sie waren möglicherweise länger als 5 Minuten außerhalb des Empfangsbereiches.
Bitte führen Sie den Verbindungsaufbau über Ihr Endgerät erneut manuell durch.
• Möglicherweise ist noch ein anderes bluetoothfähiges Gerät mit dem BTR 420 verbunden.
Trennen Sie dieses und verbinden Sie sich mit Ihrem Gerät erneut.

ESTABLISHING A CONNECTION
1. Use the Bluetooth® function on your playback device to seek other devices.
2. The sound system will appear in the Bluetooth® menu as “SOUND 2.0”.
Now link up your playback device to the sound system. If you are requested
to enter a PIN, please enter 0000 (four zeros).
3. Start the music you wish to hear on your playback device.
4. To end the connection, switch off “Bluetooth®” on your playback device.
Please refer to the instructions for use of your playback device with regard to the behaviour
of any parallel functions of your playback device during Bluetooth® transmission.

SOUND TIPS
GOOD SOUND QUALITY WHEN BUYING OR DOWNLOADING MUSIC
Download your favourite music from the internet in the right quality for a full and rich sound. When buying/downloading
music from a download portal, you should select the highest available bit rate. Most portals offer 256 Kbit/s – this ensures
a high quality of sound. To avoid poor sound quality, we advise against converting poor-quality audio or video clips
with sub-standard bit rates.
GOOD SOUND QUALITY WHEN CONVERTING MUSIC INTO MP3 FORMAT
When converting your own music CDs into MP3 format, please check the desired bit rate option in the settings of
the conversion programme. The higher the set bit rate, the lower the sound loss and the better the sound quality will be.
Poor sound quality arises when the bit rate is set too low or the music has been converted at an inadequate bit rate.
LOSS-FREE FILE FORMATS FOR THE BEST SOUND QUALITY
You will achieve the best sound when the music you use is in a loss-free format, such as AIFF or WAV.
This sound quality corresponds to that of a purchased CD.

Devices which are equipped with Bluetooth® need not necessarily also support the “Audio Video Remote Control Profile” (AVRCP),
which enables control of the +Sound mirror. The +Sound mirror works with Bluetooth® version 3.0+EDR and supports the A2DP
profile (necessary for music playback) and the AVRCP profile (required for control and playback). Power class 2 enables links
over a range of up to 10m. The playback device must therefore correspond to Bluetooth® standard 3.0 (or higher) and comply
with the A2DP profile, as well as supporting the AVRCP profile. Please check whether the playback device meets these require-
ments by referring to the instructions for use of the playback device.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
CONNECTION TO BLUETOOTH® MOBILE PHONE OR PC/ LAPTOP
Please note that some mobile phones cannot be connected via the standard Bluetooth® Search function. In this case, as a
second step you should start the music playback function on your playback device and select Bluetooth® Stereo Headphones
or A/V Headset before carrying out a renewed search for the device.
On the playback device attaining the maximum number of different Bluetooth® connections (varies according to manufacturer),
it may fail to establish a connection. In this case, the connections which are not required should be deleted, the Bluetooth®
function should be deactivated and then activated again after approx. 1 minute.
INCOMING CALLS WHILE MUSIC IS PLAYING
You can receive calls at any time while music is playing. When you take a call, the music output will be muted. With some
mobile phones, music playback is resumed as soon as the call ends or is rejected. With some other models it is necessary to
press the “Play/Pause” button or to restart audio transmission to the +Sound-system via the menu on your mobile phone.

TROUBLESHOOTING
MY DEVICE IS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE SOUND SYSTEM
Check that the button on your mirror is lit up. If it is lit up but the mirror is not detected, switch the +Sound-system
off once and restart the system. If necessary, switch off your device and try connecting it again. It may take up to
2 minutes to establish the connection.
If you exceed the range from the +Sound-system as specified by the manufacturer of your replay device, this may lead
to dropouts or breaks in transmission of the music signal. As +Sound cannot be linked via Bluetooth® to more than
one device at the same time, ensure that there are no links to any other devices.
WHY IS THE INITIAL VOLUME SOMETIMES VERY QUIET OR VERY LOUD WHEN
I SWITCH THE SYSTEM ON?
The playback device stores the most recently used volume setting. Before switching on the sound system, check that
your device is set to the appropriate volume.

WHY ISN’T THE SOUND QUALITY OF THE MUSIC ON MY
+SOUND MIRROR AS GOOD AS I IMAGINED IT WOULD BE?
Music may be recorded in diverse formats and qualities. This will obviously influence the quality of playback on the
+Sound mirror. Your +Sound mirror will not be able to improve the quality of a poor recording. As the +Sound-system has
been designed for high-quality audio rendition, we recommend that you save your music in the best possible quality on
your Bluetooth®-capable playback device (see Sound tips).
WHY WON’T MY PLAYBACK DEVICE RECONNECT WITH
THE RECEIVER AFTER IT HAS LEFT THE RECEPTION AREA?
• It may be because you were outside the reception area for more than five minutes.
Please use your device to manually establish a connection once again.
• It is also possible that a different Bluetooth®-device is connected to the BTR 420.
Please disconnect this device and re-establish a connection to your device.
