USING THE RDS FUNCTION
What is RDS?
RDS (Radio Data System) is a digital information
system created by the EBU (European
Broadcasters Union). During graduated or nor-
mal FM radio broadcasts, RDS offers various
information services and automatic auto-tuning
functions for RDS compatible car audio sys-
tems.
5. AF/REG Functi n (Alternative frequencies)
When pressed momentarily, the radio station
switching mode is activated.
When the AF/REG switching mode is activated,
the radio constantly checks the signal level of
alternate frequencies (AF). he regional mode is
activated when pressed for more than 1 second.
- Regi nal m de n:
uning to alternative frequencies (AF) or search-
ing for radio stations according to regional code
(PI) is used for stations that have the same code
(PI) as the current station. he REG symbol
appears on the LCD screen.
- Regi nal m de ff:
he PI format regional code is ignored when
tuning to alternate frequencies (AF) or searching
for radio stations according to regional code
(PI).
6. TA Functi n (Traffic Inf rmati n
Ann uncement)
A mode is activated and deactivated by
momentarily pressing this button.
When A mode is activated and a traffic
announcement is broadcast:
- If the device is in CD/MP3 player mode, it will
temporarily switch to radio mode.
- If the volume level is low, it will automatically be
increased during the traffic announcement.
- During traffic announcement reception, the P
symbol will appear on the display.
7. PTY functi n (Pr gram type)

When an R Y type is chosen, programming is
carried out using the preset buttons as
described in the section on setting preset sta-
tions. When R Y mode is chosen, the radio
begins to search for a radio station with the
given theme and stops if it finds corresponding
R Y information.
8. DISPLAY MODE (DISP)
Upon pressing this button, operating mode
selection is initiated according to the following
scheme:

Each point is displayed for several seconds,
after which it returns to the initial setting.
9. DEVICE OPERATING MODE (MODE)
Press the MODE button to switch between
sound sources: radio or CD/MP3 player.
10.BAND SELECTOR (BAND)
Press this button repeatedly to switch between
the supported frequency bands: FM1-FM2-
FM3-FM(ORI )-MW1-MW2.
11. AUTOMATIC OR MANUAL RADIO TUNING

in manual tuning mode.
When pressed for more than 1 second, they
work in automatic search mode.

When pressed momentarily, they work as the
NEX RACK and PREVIOUS RACK mode.
When pressed for more than 1 second, they
work in BROWSE mode.
12. AUTOMATIC PROGRAM SEARCH (A/PS)
When pressed momentarily, the radio tuner
scans each preset station.
