The technology behind the action of Natede Basic is
the enhancement of the phytodepuration principle: it
amplifies the natural power of plants to remove harmful
substances in the air, eliminating the pollution present
in closed spaces.

Natede Basic is extremely ecient thanks to the
photocatalytic ceramic filter as the design that
characterizes it aims to maximize surface contact and
the eciency of photocatalysis. The use of modified
WO3-based nanotechnology, which is activated with
visible light, significantly increases the eectiveness
of the photocatalytic technology in Natede Basic, and
solves the problem of the use of UV light, commonly
used in this type of technology, but harmful to the eyes
and characterized by higher energy consumption.

The photocatalysis process happens when the LED
light hits the special photocatalytic filter.
Here’s how the process works:
1. When the light rays coming from the LED lights of
your Natede Basic radiate on the WO3-based filter,
elementary charges are created that can react
with the oxygen and water present in the air.
2. From these reactions free radicals are generated
(superoxide ion and hydroxyl radical), which are
highly reactive and therefore tend to react within
thousandths of second with the particles they
encounter.
3. Thanks to the ventilation system, Natede Basic
conveys the air to be purified into the reaction
chamber. When free radicals come into contact
with pollutants in the air, they can break down
the chemical bonds of harmful molecules and
transform them into harmless substances.
This process is called photocatalytic oxidation.
The combined action of phyto-purification
technology and the latest generation photocatalysis
allows Natede Basic to break down pollutants such as
fungi, bacteria, viruses, volatile organic compounds
(VOCs), odorous compounds, and fine dust.

Polluted air is retained by the plant from top to bottom,
passing through the roots. Here the air is filtered by
retaining larger compounds, such as dust and animal
hair. Through the photocatalytic filter, the air is filtered
further where even the smallest polluting particles are
destroyed.
Thanks to the photocatalytic filter, Natede Basic can
eectively reduce the odors of pets, cigarettes
and cigars, kitchen odors, mold, etc. And the best
part is that the photocatalytic filter does not require
any replacement over time, you can easily wash it
under running water, leave it to dry, and reposition it.
No filter replacement means less pollution and zero
maintenance costs over time.

To turn on Natede Basic, just keep your hand still in
front of sensor A. After double blink of the LEDs you
will enter the change mode illustrated on the next page.
Every second the mode is changed in the following
order: silent, standard, performance, o.
If you want to turn o the product or change the fan
mode, you must keep your hand still in front of the
sensor and the sequence will start again from silent
mode.

To change the fan mode, keep your hand steady in
front of sensor A .
Silent (fan at 25% and LEDs o): the lowest band of
LEDs lights up as indicated;
Standard (fan at 50% and LEDs on): the low and
mid-range of the LEDs light up as indicated;
Performance (fan at 100% and LEDs on): the whole
LED band is on as indicated;
O: fan and led are o.
Once you remove the hand, the LEDs flash 2 times to
confirm the selection. To see the currently selected
mode, just pass your hand in front of sensor A and the
LEDs will flash for 1 second.

05. Maintenance
how to water your plant correctly
Natede Basic has self-watering system that makes it
easy to know when you need to water your plant. As
soon as the plant is inserted into the Natede Basic, we
recommend watering the plant directly from the soil for
the first 2 days with 0.5L per day and filling the tank at
the same time. To make sure your plant gets the right
amount of water over time, follow these simple steps:
1. Check the float inside the water tank, when the
yellow line on the float is visible the tank is full.
2. When the green line is visible the tank is half full.
3. Fill small watering can with water and pour it
little at time into the tank through the special
spout.
4. Fill the tank slowly to allow the float to rise and
show the correct water level.
5. Make sure you don’t cross the red line

how to take care of the ceramic filter
The photocatalytic filter is washable and made to last
forever. It’s important to apply some precautions to
have greater performance over time. To maximize the
eects of the filter, we recommend washing every 6
months and replacement every 5 years.

Never handle the photocatalytic filter with bare
hands: your hands, even if clean, are oily and this
inhibits the active sites of photocatalysis, lowering
the eciency of the reaction. For this reason, we
recommend the use of gloves while washing it.
1. Remove the dust with vacuum cleaner or by
using compressor. The dust decreases the
photocatalytic eciency because it obscures the
reactive sites for the chemical reaction.
2. Wash the photocatalytic filter under running water
to remove any residual dust accumulated in the
pores. DO NOT use tools to scratch the surface
of the filter.
3. If the dirt is stubborn, immerse the filter in room
temperature water for 10-15 min.

4. After washing it, gently shake the filter to remove
excess water and dry it on cloth. DO NOT rub
and DO NOT dab.
When it is completely dry, replace the
photocatalytic filter.
note
Natede Basic does not work properly with dirty filter. In fact, it cannot
eectively remove pollutants in the air as the reactive sites, where
chemical abatement occurs, are covered with dirt.

every time you clean the filter, clean the water tank of any dirt residue.

reset the device
To reset Natede Basic, press and hold the button on
the bottom of the device with the stick for 10 seconds.
The LEDs will then begin to flash quickly. When the
reset process is completed, the LEDs begin to pulsate.
