OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
LED DISPLAY
The LED Display Panel is located on the front panel of the Chiller/Carbonator.
The Vi Tap Dispensing System has been designed for ease of use.
IMPORTANT _________________________
Before operating the ViTAP Dispensing System, make
sure the water supply is turned ON and the unit is
plugged in.
BEFORE USE
ALWAYS sanitize your hands.
ALWAYS wear hygienic gloves.
ALWAYSremoveanti-bacterialclinglmfromthe
Dispensing Head.
ALWAYS wipe Dispensing Head, Nozzles, Drip Tray
and cabinet work-surface with anti-bacterial wipes.
Dispensing Head System LED Display Panel
POWER: When the Dispensing Head System is plugged in and turned ON, a Blue LED
will be illuminated.
CHANGE CO2: When the CO2 supply is low, a Red LED will illuminate and the unit will
beep; alerting you to change the CO2 Cylinder.
CALL SERVICE: If there is a problem, a Red LED will illuminate and the unit will beep.

DISPENSING
IMPORTANT _________________________
Before operating the ViTap Dispensing System, make sure the Water Supply Valve is
open and the unit is plugged in.
DISPENSING: Place appropriate container on Drip Tray beneath the Dispensing Head.
Chilled Still Water
Press and Hold the Blue Button to dispense water.
Releasethebuttonwhenlled.

Chilled Sparkling Water
Press and Hold the Green Button to dispense water.
Releasethebuttonwhenlled.
Hot Water (if supplied)
As a safety feature, to dispense Hot Water, Touch and Release either Red
Button, then Press and Hold the opposite side Red Button within 3 seconds.
Releasethebuttonwhenlled.
WARNING Water is Hot! Do not place hands or other body parts beneath
Dispensing Head when dispensing hot water.

IMPORTANT _________________________
Ensure the Vi Tap Dispensing System and surrounding areas are kept
clean and sanitary at all times.
OPTIMAL CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
•Remove Dispensing Nozzle and place in a container of Sanitizing Solution.
•Leave Nozzle in Sanitizing Solution for a minimum of 4 hours.
•Ensure protective gloves are worn when in contact with Sanitizing Solution.
•Wipe Dispensing Head, Drip Tray and countertop surface with anti-bacterial
wipes and sanitizing spray.
•WrapDispensingHeadwithplasticlm.
•ToreturntheDispensingHeadSystemtoservice,removetheplasticlm,
rinse Nozzle and install in Dispensing Head.
CO2
•TheCO2 canister can be located inside the front of the system or
outside the system in a remote location.
•Regardlessoflocationthetankisttedwitharegulatorthathasbeen
preset. For proper operation the regulator should never be adjusted by
the user.
•TochangetheCO2 loosen the connection to the tank with the provided
wrench and remove the regulator from the tank.
•Theregulatorshouldbehandtightenedtothenewtankandthen
tightened snug with the provided wrench. Never over tighten.
•TheCO2 tank must always be secured to prevent it from falling.
•PleaserefertoyourlocalCO2supplier for complete handling and
safety instructions.

TROUBLESHOOTING
NO STILL WATER
Can three litres of sparkling water be dispensed?
YES - The still water side of the system is frozen. Unplug main unit for 24
hours,thenplugbackin,turnONandcheckagain.ifthisdoesnotxthe
issue, please call us to dispatch a service technician.
NO - If only gas dispenses now, it is a water supply issue and requires a
technician.Beforewedispatchatechnician,pleaseconrmthatthewaterto
the system is indeed ON.
NO SPARKLING WATER
Is the sparkling water button illuminated?
YES - Reset the carbonator to get the sparkling water to work again. This is
done by powering the system OFF and back ON again.
NO - ConrmCO2isturnedonandfull.Pleasesupplypressurereadingson
the CO2 regulator before we dispatch a service technician.
WATER IS DISPENSING WARM
Is machine plugged into working outlet (is blue power light on)?
YES - Is the condenser grill clogged or obstructed?
YES - Clean the condenser grill with a soft brush or cloth and remove
anyobstructionstotheairow.
NO - Pleaseconrmthatthewatersupplyfeedingthemachineisacold
water source before you contact us to dispatch a service technician.
NO - Once machine is powered back ON it may take up to 45 minutes for the
watertodispensecoldand4-6hourstomaintainacolddispensetemperature.

SPARKLING WATER IS FLAT
Is the CO2 tank empty (CO2 light illuminated if equipped) or below 70PSI?
YES - Replace CO2 tank and/or ensure CO2 tank is turned on at tank and secondary
shutovalve,ifequipped.
NO - Flush the sparkling water:
1. Switch the claening mode switch OFF
2. Touch and hold the sparkling button and dispense until just gas appears
3. Release the button and turn the switch back ON
4. Let the machine cycle for 30 seconds and check the sparkling water again
CO2 LIGHT IS ON
Is the cleaning mode switch on the off position?
YES - Turn the cleaning mode switch back ON
NO - Is the CO2 tank empty?
YES - Replace CO2 tank
NO - IstheCO2tankoatthetankorsecondaryshutovalve?
YES - Turn CO2 tank on
NO - Please contact us to dispatch a service technician.
NO HOT WATER
Is boiler power light on?
YES - Isreadylighton?Whetheronoro,unplugtheboilerandplugbackinagain.
presspowerbuttontoturnpowerON.Wait5minutesforboilertollandheatto
tempurature. Is ready light on now?
YES - Is hot water dispensing?
NO - Please contact us to dispatch a service technician.
NO - Make sure boiler plugged into a working outlet. Press power button to turn
power ON. if the boiler light is still not on, please contact us to dispatch a technician.
WATER TASTES BAD
Do both still and sparkling water taste bad?
YES - Systemrequiresanewlterandsanitation.Pleasecontactustodispatcha
service technician.
NO - If it’s just sparkling that tastes bad, the challenge is with the quality of the CO2:
1. Turn OFF the power switch on the back of the unit and dispense
sparkling water unit just gas appears
2.TurnotheCO2tankanddispensesparklingwateragaintoreleaseall
CO2 gas pressure
3. Hook up and turn on new CO2 tank, dispense the sparkling water for 5
secondstoushoutanyresidualCO2
4. Turn the switch back ON and let the carbonator cycle, test sparkling water

contact us to dispatch a service technician.

CHANGING YOUR CO2
BOTTLE SAFELY
A simple guide to changing a cylinder
Itisimportantthatbothyouandyourstacanchangecylinderssafely,
ecientlyandcompetently.
Changing a Suregas (carbon dioxide) cylinder
1. Turnandcloseothevalveontopoftheemptycylinder
2. Using the correct wrench, undo the nut on the cylinder to disconnect the high
pressure hose or primary regulator, and allow residual gas to escape from the hose.
3. Place the regulator within safe reach (do not drop the wrench or leave it hanging)
4. Release the bracket or chain securing the cylinder
5. Put on protective gloves and carefully move the empty cylinder to the storage area
(do not replace plastic plugs on the outlet of empty CO2 cylinders)
6.Securetheemptycylinderupright,orlieatandcheckittopreventrolling
7. Remove the plastic plug or tape from the new full cylinder outlet and discard it
8. Purge the replacement cylinder by quickly opening and closing the valve on the top
to clear any dust or moisture from the outlet (always point the outlet away from your
body and wear safety glasses when purging)
9. Connect the high pressure hose or the primary regulator, and check that the sealing
washeristtingcorrectly
10. Tightenthenutrmlywiththespanner
11. Turn on the valve on top of the cylinder
12. Check for leaks using a solution of soapy water or a commercial equivalent.

IF IN DOUBT, TURN OFF CO2 SUPPLY AND CALL THE
VIVREAU SERVICE LINE 877-999-1044
Always connect CO2cylinder to regulator
Never try to connect cylinder directly to carbonator
Never interconnect CO2or gas cylinder equipment
Always secure cylinder upright whilst in use, and keep
spare cylinders secured
Always keep cylinder away from heat
Never drop or throw cylinders
Nevertrytounscrewttingsfromcontainers
Always ventilate area after CO2leakage
PLEASE REMEMBER CARBON DIOXIDE CAN BE
DANGEROUS AND POTENTIALLY FATAL.
PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL CO2 SUPPLIER FOR
COMPLETE HANDLING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS.
This information should be displayed in a position
adjacent to the CO2cylinder at all times.

CO2 can be sourced from local Beverage CO2 Companies or
Welding Supply companies. Many Beverage CO2 companies provide pick-up
of empty and drop off of full CO2 Cylinders.

VI TAP CLEANING
INSTRUCTIONS
Your Vi Tap should be cleaned regularily.
Vivreau recommend that you use disinfectant spray for the
cleaning of your Vi tap.
Ifyourtapbecomessoiledwithcoee,tea,milketc.cleanwith
hot soapy water using a non abrasive cloth.
Do not forget to clean the drip tray lid and inside the drip tray
using either disinfectant spray or hot soap water and non
abrasive cloth.
Keep surrounding area around the machine clean and sanitized.
Vi Tap equipment in the cupboard area below should be kept free
of dust; the ventilation should not be obstructed allowing free
airowaroundtheequipment.
Vi Tap nozzles should be removed regularily and cleaned with hot
soapy water using a non abrasive cloth.
After completing each clean dispense hot water for at least 10
secondstoushthroughthenozzle.
DO NOT use any abrasive material on your VIVREAU machine.
