SELECTION OF LOCK FOR VIZIT-KTM600F
VIZIT-KTM600F
Electromagnetic lock
VIZIT
IMPORTANT.
DO NOT use electromagnetic locks with resistance less than 20 Ohms, and not provided with a built-in degaussing
module.
Basic types of electric strikes, solenoid locks
Fail-locked (Fail-secure)
Note. VIZIT-KTM600F
The RF controller allows operation with different types of locks, such as electromagnetic locks, various
electric strikes, electromechanical solenoid locks.
The lock is blocked as long as the power is switched on. Once the current is switched off
or interrupted due to power failure, the lock is released and the door can be opened.
Recommended: electromagnetic locks ® with a built-in degaussing module, in combination with door closers
-
The RF controller does not support use of motor locks.
.
The strike / lock is blocked as long as the power is switched off. Once the voltage is switched
on, the strike / lock is released and the door can be opened.
Recommended: fail-locked strikes / solenoid locks with supply voltage 12 VDC and current consumption up to A.
-
The strike / lock is unblocked after a short power impulse, and remains
unblocked, even when the power is off. Once the door is opened and then
closed again, the strike / lock will resume its normal operation, and will be
blocked again.
Recommended: fail-locked strikes / solenoid locks with supply voltage 12 VDC and current consumption up to 1 A.
-
The strike / lock is blocked as long as the power is switched on. Once the voltage is switched
off or interrupted due to power failure, the strike / lock is released and the door can be opened.
Recommended: fail-unlocked strikes / solenoid locks with supply voltage 12 VDC and current consumption up to 0.6 A.

IMPORTANT
VIZIT
In order to correctly set the lock control logic, unlocked time, and lock supply voltage, the KTM600M PCB has corresponding
jumpers installed:
The jumper determines the door lock control logic:
- position – a strike / lock is released when voltage is switched off.
- position – a strike / lock is released when voltage is switched on.
The jumper the unlocked state duration (1 or 7 seconds):
- position - unlocked state duration is 1 second.
- position - unlocked state duration is 7 seconds.
Some models of electric strikes and solenoid locks are provided with an integrated damper diode to eliminate pulse noise
after current off. If this is the case, the strike / lock has polar wiring.
If an electric strike or solenoid lock does not contain a damper diode, then connect a damper diode to the strike / lock's
terminals observing polarity, as shown in the picture below.
Do not connect a damper diode to electromagnetic locks , for they contain a built in degaussing module to eliminate
pulse noise.
determines
To provide power for the RF controller VIZIT-KTM600F and door lock, a power supply unit with output voltage 12 VDC to
18VDC and with rated current up to 1 A is recommended. Correct choice of a power supply unit depends on operating
voltage and current consumption parameters of the lock used in the system, as well as on the distance between a power
supply unit and the lock.
To provide power for an electromagnetic lock VIZIT, the power supply unit BPD18/12-1-1 or may
be used
When selecting a power supply unit for a particular model of electromechanical lock / strike, please consult qualified
personnel.
