The Vortex
® Solo
®25 mm Monocular
The 25 mm Solo®is compact, easy to handle, and designed
for a lifetime of enjoyment. Built to withstand use in just
about any field condition, o-ring seals and nitrogen purging
make the Solo a fully waterproof, internally fogproof
monocular.

Caution
Monoculars are not intended for looking at the sun or other
intense light sources. Such viewing could damage the retina
and cornea of your eyes—even to the point of causing
blindness.

Focus Wheel
PreParing the Solo for uSe
Focus the Solo
The focus wheel is found on the eyepiece of the Solo.
Simply turn the wheel
until your subject
comes crisply into
view. Turn clockwise
to focus on more
distance objects,
counter-clockwise to
focus on objects that
are nearer.
The Case
The soft case of the Solo slips off for an easy carry in the
field and provides protection for the monocular when not in
use.
Attach the Lanyard
Attach the lanyard to the Solo monocular in three simple
steps:
1. Push the loop end of
the strap through the
lanyard attachment point
on the monocular.
2. Take the opposite end
of the lanyard and put it
through the loop.
3.Cinch the loop tight.

lenS Care
Follow this two-step process to gently clean the exterior
lenses of your binocular.
1. Blow away any dust or grit before wiping the lens.
Use a can of pressurized air, soft camel hair brush, or
acrylic optical brush.
2. Gently remove smudges, fingerprints, and eyelash
oil from the lens. Use a small amount of water or your
breath to moisten the lens then wipe away smudges
with a clean lens cloth. Isopropyl alcohol can help
remove marks like fingerprints.
Note: Avoid over-scrubbing lenses and always use a
clean lens cloth—replace the dirty lens cloth with a new,
clean lens cloth. Please do not use facial tissue, heavy
cotton, or flannel cloth on the lenses because these
materials can scratch the lens surface.
