satisfaction and safety. When operated and maintained according to the instructions in this manual,
your Vortexx pressure washer will provide many years of dependable service.
Read this manual carefully and become familiar with your pressure washer. Know its applications,

provided below (see page 11 for details on where to nd your serial number). Follow the instructions

Upon delivery, inspect your unit for damage and if something appears to be damaged, le a claim with
the transportation company immediately. Be sure that all damaged parts are replaced and that the
mechanical problems are corrected prior to operation of the unit. If you require service, contact Vortexx

Understanding the Machine Safety Labels
The machine safety label shown below is placed on your machine to draw attention to potential
safety hazards.
Hazard Symbols and Meanings
Safety Rules:
This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards. Obey all
safety messages that follow this symbol to avoid possible injury or death. The safety alert symbol
( ) is used with a signal word (DANGER, CAUTION, WARNING) to alert you to hazards.
DANGER indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in death or
serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, might result in minor or moderate injury
and or potential damage to property or equipment.
Warning Label
A warning label (Figure 1) is provided on your unit to inform you of potential safety hazards. If the
label becomes damaged or illegible, replace it by contacting your local Vortexx dealer to obtain

Remove Pressure Washer From Pallet
• Remove all accessories and parts bag included with pressure washer
• Remove all other packaging
• Roll pressure washer off of pallet
Preparing Pressure Washer for Use - Quick Start Guide
If you have any questions about this pressure washer after reading the enclosed manuals, or if parts
To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you will need to perform these simple tasks:
1) Read this manual completely
2) Connect clean water source to pressure washer and conrm water ow
3) Start engine (see engine manual for proper starting procedure)
4) Securely hold gun and test water ow and pressure
5) Turn Burner System Power ON
6) Set Thermostat to desired maximum water temperature
7) Pull trigger, burner should engage within 15 seconds
8) To shut down, turn burner off and ush cold water through system for 2 minutes
Add Engine Oil
NOTICE - IMPORTANT: Any attempt to crank or start the engine before it has been properly serviced
with the recommended oil may result in an engine failure.
Note: Replace red shipping oil plug with yellow and black vented cap provided.
• For best results, use only the high quality oil recommended in the Honda engine Owner’s Manual
or the oil that is included with this unit
• Note: some Vortexx Pressure Washer Models are drained of oil for shipping purposes, always check
your oil dipstick before attempting to start your pressure washer
• Place the pressure washer on a level surface
• Fill engine with oil if needed, as described in the engine owner’s manual that is included in this
package
NOTE: Check oil often during initial operation, as explained in the engine owner’s manual.
Add Gasoline
WARNING! NEVER ll fuel tank indoors. NEVER ll fuel tank when engine is running or hot. Allow
unit to cool for 5 minutes before refueling. DO NOT light a cigarette or smoke while lling the fuel tank.
WARNING! DO NOT overll the fuel and allow room for fuel expansion.
CAUTION! Use regular UNLEADED gasoline with the pressure washer engine. DO NOT use alcohol-
blended fuels. DO NOT mix oil with gasoline.
• Clean area around fuel ll cap, remove cap. Slowly add “UNLEADED” regular gasoline to fuel tank.
• Use a funnel to prevent spillage. Slowly ll tank to about 1.5” below the top of the ll hole
• Replace fuel cap and wipe up any spilled gasoline
• Do not store fuel or clean-up rags in closed space
CAUTION! NEVER use engine or carburetor cleaner products in the fuel tank or permanent damage
may occur.
IMPORTANT: Read entire owner’s manual before you attempt to operate your new pressure washer.
