1. INTENDED USE AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE USER
Emergency showers should be tested at least once a month to check the functionality and required volu-
metric flow of 30 l/min. This mobile test unit offers an extremely practical and simple solution for checking
emergency showers and handheld eyewashers parameters. The large funnel located centrally in the safety
shower can be extended to a height of 2.30 meters, while the smaller funnel is designed to collect water
from handheld eyewashers (min. required flow rate 6 l /min). The amount of collected water can be
checked on the scale of the water tank (0L - 120 l). The integrated electric pump empties the tank in the
shortest possible time.
2. PACKAGE CONTENTS
SSTU is delivered with the following equipment:
•Transparent PVC water tank on castors with brakes
•Integrated electric pump
•Drain hose (2m) for emptying the water tank
•Separate brackets for drain and supply hose
•The large funnel

3. OVERVIEW
4. UNIT OPERATION
Safety shower test unit is compatible with every available emergency shower on the market. When placed
under the emergency shower, the large funnel can be adjusted to the height of the shower head (up to
2.3m from the ground).
After test unit is properly installed, the shower can be launched. The outgoing water flows into the trans-
parent water tank where the amount of water can be measured on a scale from 0 to 120 litres. Thanks to
the transparency of the collecting container, the optical quality of the water can also be checked.
When the test is completed, the telescopic large funnel must be shortened to its starting position. The safe-
ty shower test unit can be moved to nearby sink in order to connect outlet hose do drainage system and
electric pump to electric socket. When necessary connections are made, the unit is ready to pump out
gathered water. The pump is mounted inside water tank in the way that allow to remove water up to 2 mm.
