Thank you for purchasing the Bluetooth Headset 2442 by Wagan Tech. With
normal care and proper treatment it will provide years of reliable use. Please read
all operating instructions carefully before use.
DESCRIPTION:
Primary Button
1. This button is used for Setup/Pairing indication between the Bluetooth
Headset and the corresponding Bluetooth-enabled device.
2. This is also the Call Answering and Ending button.
3. This is also the device On/Off button.
LED Indicator
1. Blue LED flashes in normal intervals = headset is in working or standby
status.
2. Blue and Red LED flash alternatively = headset in Setup/Pairing status.
3. Red LED flashes in normal intervals = headset’s battery low.

Ear Hook
1. The ear hook is made of soft flexible rubber that fits practically all sizes of
user’s left and right ears.
2. Just twist the ear hook and flip it over the barrel to change sides.
SETUP/PAIRING
1. Setup/Pairing between Bluetooth headset and your mobile phone must be
done before use.
2. Charge your Bluetooth Headset prior to Setup/Pairing.
3. Make sure that the Bluetooth Headset is turned on first.
4. Make sure that your mobile phone is within ten meters of your Bluetooth
Headset.
5. Make sure that there are no other Bluetooth devices within 10 meters radius,
otherwise please remember the Bluetooth headset’s name (BT-PHF 18) you
want to pair with.
6. To Setup/Pair, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds until the Red
and Blue LEDs flash alternatively.
7. At the same time you will hear an indicator tone. When you hear this tone,
release the volume button. The Headset is now in its pairing mode.
NOTE: If the volume button is pressed for less than 3 seconds pairing will fail.
AFTER SETUP:
a. Go to Bluetooth Connection in your mobile phone and select “Search or
Search Pairing Setting”. You can refer to your mobile phone’s user manual as
every mobile phone has its own access path.
b. Following the search, you mobile phone will display a device name 2442 which
is the model number of the Bluetooth Headset.
c. Press “Enter” and you will be asked to input the pin code. Enter ‘0000’.
d. When the Blue LED of your Bluetooth Headset flashes at long intervals, it
means that pairing and setup are successful.
e. Your headset is now ready to use.
NOTE: You will only need to Pair/Setup once. Each time when you turn on your
mobile phone, it will be automatically paired with your Bluetooth headset.

RECEIVING IN-COMING CALL / ENDING THE CALL
Press the Primary Key to answer any in-coming call. Press the same key again to
end that call.
REJECTING A CALL
Press the “Volume down” key for 3 seconds when you hear an in-coming call on
your Headset. Please note that this function will only work under Hands Free mode
of your mobile phone.
MAKING A PHONE CALL
When making a call from your mobile phone, make sure that it is set on “call
transfer to hands free or headset”. When this is done just make your call as usual.
Press the Primary Key to end any call.
MAKING A VOICE ACTIVATED CALL
a. This is only possible when your mobile phone supports this function.
b. Use hands free operation to set the headset connection.
c. Press and hold the volume up key for a long interval and you will hear an
indicator tone.
d. Speak out loud and clear the name and telephone number you want to dial.
e. You call is put through.
REDIALING THE LAST CALL
Press and hold the volume down key for three (3) seconds, your last call will be re-
dialed when you hear a beep.
NOTE:
a. This redial last call function is possible when it is in a hands free mode.
b. There must be no in-coming call when re-dialing.

TURNING ON YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET SUBSEQUENTLY AFTER
PAIRING/SETUP
a. Press and hold the Primary Button for five (5) seconds to turn on your
Headset.
b. You will notice that the Blue LED on the Headset will start to flash.
c. Release the button and the connection is successful. You will notice that the
Blue LED indicator will flash three times in every three seconds.
d. You are ready to make phone calls.
e. Pairing with your mobile phone should be automatic.
TURNING OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET
a. Press and hold the Primary Key for three (3) seconds until the Red LED
indicator lights up and is followed by a tone.
b. Release the button and the Headset will be turned off.
VOICE SWITCHING FROM HEADSET TO MOBILE PHONE
Press and hold volume up key for more than three (3) seconds to transfer voice
from Headset to mobile phone.
ADJUSTING VOLUME
While speaking on a phone call, tap the volume key quickly and lightly either up or
down.
CHARGING YOUR HEADSET
a. You are required to charge your Bluetooth Headset continuously for at least 3
hours before using it for the first time.
b. Charging is full and complete when the red LED indicator turns off.
c. Do not use the Headset while it is being charged.
NOTE:
a. If your headset has not been used for some time, you need to recharge it for
3 hours continuously to replenish its power.
b. Never leave your Headset charging for more than 24 hours continuously.
