IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, especially when children are present, basic
safety precautions should always be observed including the following.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE AND INJURY
1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
2. Never touch or allow contact with moving parts while in
motion. Keep hands, hair clothing and other utensils away
from the moving parts during operation to prevent accident,
injury or damage to the appliance.
3. Switch off the appliance and unplug from outlet when not
in use, before putting on or taking off attachments and also
before cleaning the appliance.
4. Never use your appliance without paying attention! Always
unplug the unit when not in use, even for a moment.
5. Do not operate the appliance with a broken cord or plug, or
if the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in
anyway.
6. Any servicing or repair must be performed by an authorized
service representative.
7. Do not use outdoors or in damp areas.
8. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the work surface
or let it touch any hot surfaces.
9. The use of attachments that are not supplied by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury and
damage to the appliance.
10.To protect against risk of electrical shock, never immerse
the unit or let it come into contact with water or any other
liquids. Do not use the unit with wet hands. If the appliance
should become wet, damp or fall in water, remove plug

from mains socket immediately. Do not put your hands in
the water.
11.Never carry the unit by its power cord.
12.Use this appliance only for its intended purpose.
BEFORE USE
1. Remove all packaging and using the description of parts familiarise
yourself with your appliance and the different parts. Check that all the
accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged.
Clean the cups, blades and lids before first using, refer to the cleaning
and maintenance section on page 7.
WARNING: THE BLADE IS VERY SHARP. WASH WITH CARE AND
NEVER TOUCH THE BLADE WITH YOUR FINGERS.
NOTE: The big cups and the blending blades are ideal for blending and
chopping vegetables and fruit and making smoothies, salsa, soup, sauces
and much more. The small cup and the grinding blade is ideal for coffee,
spices and small grain food.
2. Do not plug in the appliance before assembling.
3. Place the appliance on a flat surface.
4. When blending and chopping using the big cup best results are
achieved if the food is cut into small even pieces and cores and hard
pieces removed. The contents should not exceed the MAX marking
(0.4L) on the big cup.
When using the small cup and the grinding blade do not exceed the
max mark capacity of the small cup (60g).
IMPORTANT: never use boiling liquids or run the appliance empty.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before plugging in ensure that the mains voltage matches that shown
on the rating label.
2. Upend the big cup (or small cup), and place the required food into the
cup.
3. NOTE when making juice or smoothies you will always need a certain
amount of liquid for the smooth running of appliance and to ensure all
ingredients are properly blended.

4. Then select the required blade.
Use the big cup with the blending blade
(see fig.1)
5. Use the small cup with the grinding blade (see fig.2).
Ensure the required blade is securely tightened by turning the cup
support clockwise.
6. Turn the cups over and insert them into the motor unit, make sure the
three fasteners on the bottom of the cups line up with the grooves on
the motor unit. Push down and turn clock wise to operate the appliance
(see fig.3).
IMPORTANT: When using the blending blade do not run continuously for
more than 3 minutes, allowing to cool before re-using. When using the
grinding blade do not run continuously for more than 1 minute, allowing to
cool before re-using

7. When the required result is achieved turn the cup in an anti-clockwise
direction to remove the cup and the appliance will stop operating.
8. Turn the cups over and remove the blades.
9. Then either pour the ingredients out or select the cover, cup ring or
shaker lid as required.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Pour a little warm soapy water into the big cup or small cup and operate for
a few seconds. Then rinse the cups, lids and blades under running water.
The blade housings and cups are not designed to be washed in a
dishwasher.
WARNING: THE BLADE IS VERY SHARP. WASH WITH CARE AND
NEVER TOUCH THE BLADE WITH YOUR FINGERS.
Wipe the outer surface of Motor Unit with a clean damp cloth, do not use
abrasive cleaning agents.
WARNING: NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR UNIT IN WATER.
IMPORTANT: After cleaning always ensure that the rubber seal in the blade
housing is securely in place.
Dry all parts with a soft clean cloth.

RECIPES
PAN FRIED COD WITH SALSA VERDE
Serves 2
40g mixed herbs: flat parsley, chervil, mint, basil and thyme
10g capers
10g gherkins
3 spring onions
1 ½ lemons, juice and zest
100-125 fl oz virgin olive oil
2 x 6oz thick cod fillets
1oz butter
seasoning
1. In a hot non-stick frying pan, add the butter and a little olive oil.
2. Season the cod fillets and once the butter is foaming, pan-fry on both
sides for between 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.
3. To make the salsa, chop up the spring onions and place in the large cup
with the lemon juice and zest, gherkins, capers and herbs and half the
oil and attach the blending blade. Blend for a few seconds to combine,
then add the remaining oil and blend again for a few seconds.
4. Season with salt and pepper. Simply serve on top of the pan-fried cod.

RECIPES
ROAST LOIN OF LAMB WITH PUMPKIN PICKLE
Serves 4
2 x 200g/7oz loins of lamb fat removed
50g unsalted butter
For the pumpkin pickle
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
40g ginger, roughly chopped
1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
1-2 tbsp water, enough to make a paste
4 tbsp vegetable or corn oil
700g/1lb 9oz pumpkin flesh, peeled, cut into 1cm/½in cubes
2 red chillies, finely diced
½ tsp ground turmeric
½ tsp black onion seeds
1 tsp mild red chilli powder
2 tbsp mango chutney
For the garnish
1 punnet red amaranth cress
1 punnet coriander cress
1. In a non-stick pan drizzle a little oil and place over a medium heat, season the
lamb loins with salt and pepper, when the pan starts to smoke place the lamb in
and allow to colour golden brown (3-4 minutes) on each side.
2. Add the butter and turn the heat down slightly spoon the juices over the lamb
and continue to cook for a further 4-5 minutes.
3. Cook the lamb medium rare for well done cook for a further 7 minutes remove
the pan from the heat and allow the lamb to rest for 5 minutes.
4. Place the fenugreek seeds into the small cup and attach the grinder blade and
grind for a few seconds.
5. Place the ginger, garlic and water into the large cup and attach the bender blade
and blend to a fine puree adding a little extra water if needed.
6. Heat a frying pan until hot, add the vegetable oil and pumpkin and fry for 1-2
minutes.
7. Add the garlic ginger paste, ground fenugreek, chillies, turmeric, black onion
seeds, chilli powder and mango chutney and stir well to combine.
8. Cook for a further 5 minutes until the pumpkin is just tender. Turn off the heat
and leave to cool slightly.
9. Carve the lamb in to slices and serve with a generous spoonful of pickle, topped
with some red amaranth and coriander cress.

RECIPES
BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
Serves 2
½ kg butternut squash
1 small banana shallot, peeled and roughly chopped
1 cloves garlic peeled and crushed
250 ml fresh chicken stock
75 ml double cream
Drizzle virgin olive oil
25g crème fraiche
1 tbsp chives, finely chopped
Seasoning
1. Firstly peel and dice the butternut squash into 1inch chunks.
2. Put the onion, garlic and squash in a large pan with a little olive oil over a
medium heat, Colour slightly then add the stock and bring to the boil.
3. Simmer for about 10 – 15 minutes to cook the squash.
4. Allow to cool. Place the soup in to the large cup and attach the blender
blade, this will have to be done in batches not exceeding the max
marking adding a little cream to each batch. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Place back in the pan on the heat add any remaining cream and check
seasoning and gently warm but do not boil.
6. Place in the bowl with a dollop of crème fraiche, drizzle a little olive oil
over, add a scattering of chives and serve.
