Paddle sports can be very dangerous and physically demanding.
The user of this product acknowledges and understands an assumption of the
risks involved in paddle sports.
Observe the following safety standards and safe operating practices whenever
using this product.
• Read this owner’s safety manual prior to using this product.
• Always wear a coast guard approved personal otation device.
• Do not exceed maximum weight capacity. Regardless of number of persons
on board, total weight of persons and equipment must not exceed maximum
weight capacity.
• Do not operate the kayak under the inuence of drugs or alcohol or any other
impairment or disability.
• Wear a helmet where appropriate.
• Do not use this product under the inuence of alcohol or drugs.
• Do not paddle alone.
• Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
• Dress appropriately for weather and marine conditions; cold water and/or
weather can result in hypothermia.
• Beware of offshore winds and currents, they could take you out to sea.
• Check weather forecasts and obtain local knowledge of marine environment and
weather conditions prior to your voyage.
• Do not exceed your paddling ability; be aware of your limitations.
• Obtain paddle sports instructions specific to this type of craft. Proper instruction
will make your paddling experience safer and more enjoyable (Information on
paddling can be obtained from your dealer or from the American Canoe Associa-
tion at WWW.AMERICANCANOE.ORG).
• Consult your physician prior to beginning your paddle sports training.
• Obtain certified first aid and CPR training, and carry appropriate first aid, rescue
and safety equipment (see SAFETY EQUIPMENT).
• Be aware of appropriate river water levels, tidal changes, currents, and ob-
stacles in and above the water.
• Check your equipment prior to each use for signs of wear, leaks or failure.
• Tie a leash to your paddle when appropriate.
• Always inform someone of your paddling route, the time and location of your
departure and your intended time and location of arrival.
• Always carry identification.
• Do not paddle in ood conditions.
• Make sure you are able to exit the craft if necessary.
• Scout unfamiliar waters; portage where appropriate.
• Carry, read, and understand navigation charts when approptiate.
• Observe right-of-way as defined by “Rules of the Road” and required by COL-
REGS.
• Obey signs for restricted areas designated for swimming, bathing or other forms
of recreation.
• Learn to control your craft and know the limitations of your capabilities and the
capabilities of your craft. If necessary take a paddling course to learn these
limitations.
• Inform someone of your Float Plan including time and place of departure, pro-
posed route and expected time of return.

Loaded with practical features, yet compact enough to stow in its own backpack, the
Angler is a versatile and functional way to get on the water and fish. The Angler offers
a wide, durable, stable hull that comes fully equipped with fishing rod holders, foot
rests, bowline, integrated storage compartments, and paddle holders. The highlight of
the Angler is a multifunctional accessory attachment system called Versa-Track™ that
runs down both sides of the kayak, features 32 attachment points for gear, and comes
with an aluminum gear-mount platform for adding tools such as fish finders, depth
sounders, down riggers, etc. Available in two color options: Camouage or Yellow.

For yacht owners, the Airis Tender is the ideal craft for getting from ship to shore
and comes loaded with features such as an integrated bow storage compartment, a
paddle holder, bow line, storage bungees and accessory attachment rails. Remov-
able skegs make the Tender store in less space than other Airis kayaks. The Tender
also features Walker Bay’s exclusive Connect-a-YakTM system (patent pending) that
turns 2 Tender kayaks into a tandem! Utility and versatility meet portable fun.

Do not exceed the stated maximum capacities under any circumstances. Over-
loading will reduce freeboard and increase the likelihood of swamping, especially
in heavy seas. Overloading causes handling to become sluggish, making it difficult
to react quickly.
Do not force the handle on the pump, it could break.
Use both hands to operate the pump; position one hand on each side of the pump
handle. Pump by moving the handle in a vertical upwards and downwards motion.
Do not push unevenly on the handle; this could break the shaft of the pump.

ASSEMBLY
Your kayak requires very little assembly. All you have to do is ensure that the kayak oor
and back rest are correctly positioned in the kayak cockpit prior to ination of the kayak
oor.
OPERATING THE PUMP
The pump included with your kayak has been chosens pecifically for its ability to quickly
inate your Airis™ kayak to the high pressure required.
The pump included with your kayak is equipped with a pressure gauge. The pressure
gauge will only display pressure while you are inating. The pressure reading will subside
when you stop pumping.
The pump can be used for inating and deating. For ination mode attach the fitting on
the pump hose to the fitting on the pump handle marked “Inate”. For deation mode
attach the fitting on the pump hose to the fitting on the pump handle marked “Deate”.
OPERATION OF VALVES
For ination remove the valve cap (b), then push, twist and release
the center valve stem (a) so it is in the “OUT” position.
After inating install the valve cap (b) by inserting it and twisting
clockwise.
For deation remove the valve cap, then push, twist and release the
center valve stem so it is in the “IN” position.
After deating replace the valve cap to protect the valve’s parts and
mechanism.
NOTICE
If you prefer to use an aftermarket foot pump or an electric pump choose one capable of
inating to at least 6.5PSI/0.45Bar.
MATERIALS
AirWeb™
Airis™ Inatable Kayaks are made using
AirWeb™ High Pressure Construction,
formed from a heavy duty, 7 layer poly-
mer coated fabric that is joined inside by
thousands of drop-stitch fibers. AirWeb™
makes it possible to inate Airis™ Kayaks
to more than 6 PSI or 0.42 bar, up to 6
times the maximum air pressure of other
inatable kayaks! This creates a hull that
is incredibly rigid and durable without the
use of aluminum inserts or other compli-
cated frame parts, and keeps the assem-
bly of Airis™ Kayaks quick and simple.

Failure to follow ination instructions may result in poor performance or damage
to the kayak.
For optimum performance it is essential that the kayak is inated to the correct
working pressure of 6.5psi/0.45bar.
The kayak body should be rigid and very firm when inated to the correct working
pressure.
Do not under inate. Under-ination will result in poor performance.
Do not over inate. Over ination may cause air chambers to rupture.
Avoid leaving the kayak in direct sunlight when inated to working
pressure. This could cause an increase in air pressure beyond the kay-
aks maximum air pressure and cause air chambers to rupture.
Do not use compressors, CO2 or compressed air; these may damage your kayak.

MINIMUM PRESSURE: 6PSI/0.42BAR
Inating the kayak body
1. Before inating the kayak body set the valve stem in the closed/out position by push-
ing, turning counter clockwise and releasing. This will prevent air from escaping when
you remove the pump hose once ination is complete.
2. Insert the fitting on the end of the pump hose into the valve and twist the fitting
clockwise to secure it for ination.
3. Inate the kayak body to correct working pressure (6.5psi/0.45bar) using the pump
provided with your kayak.
NOTICE
Many pumps are not capable of high pressure ination greater than 5psi/0.35bar. If/
when not using the pump provided with the kayak you must use a high pressure pump
or a pump capable of achieving at least 6.5psi/0.45bar).
4. Use the gauge mounted in the pump to determine the air pressure in the kayak. To
release air push the valve stem in. (Notice: The gauge on the pump only shows the
air pressure in the kayak when you are actively pumping).
5. Remove the pump hose and fitting from the ination valve.
6. Seal the valve with the valve cap.
Installing the backrest on Play & Sport models
For the new Deluxe and Basic Backrests as optional parts, see Accessory Guide in this
manual.
Before inating the kayak oor install the back rest.
To install the back rest, position the bottom ap of the back rest under the inatable
oor. When the oor is inated it will secure the lower portion of the back rest.
Pass the webbing straps on the back rest through the rear D-rings on kayak’s handles.
Feed the webbing straps through the buckles on the back rest.
When the oor is completely inated use the webbing straps to adjust the back rest to a
comfortable position.
Inating the kayak oor
1. Position the kayak oor in the cockpit of the kayak body before you inate the kayak
oor.
2. To inate the kayak oor repeat steps 1 through 6 with the kayak oor.
3. Make sure both valves are tightly secured.
Deating the kayak body and kayak oor
1. To deate the kayak, remove the valve cap from the valves in the kayak oor and
kayak body.
2. Release the air by pushing the valve stem in and turning clockwise. The valve should
lock in the depressed position allowing the kayak to deate completely.
3. Completely deate the kayak body and oor either by rolling the kayak from the front/
bow to the rear/stern or by using the pump by switching the pump from inate mode
to deate mode.
4. Replace the valve caps on the kayak body and oor once they are completely de-
ated. This will protect the valves when the kayak is not in use.

ACCESSORY GUIDE
SEAT CUSHION & BACKREST
Walker Bay® Seat Cushion and Backrest is available in 2 versions: Basic and Deluxe.
The Basic Seat & Backrest is made of reinforced fabric with meshed foam padding for
support and ventilation. The Deluxe Seat & Backrest is made of ergonomic and stylish
molded foam material for your best comfort.
To install the Seat Cushion and Backrest,
place the seat cushion on top of the black
EVA foam pad on the kayak, with the
backrest facing forward.
There is one long strap on each side of
the backrest. Lead it through the forward
D-ring on the kayak’s side carry handle.
Pull the strap back and go through the
plastic adjustable clip on each side of the
backrest as shown here. Make sure the
threaded sides on the clip is in touch with
the strap.
Now you can also adjust the backrest
from the front. Again, we recommend a
more upright sitting position. It is more
comfortable and will give you more leg
room in the kayak.
A completed Seat Cushion and Backrest.
Connect the hooks on the straps on the
back of the seat to the black plastic D-rings
behind the seat. These straps will keep
the backrest erect.
After both hooks are connected, pull the
ends of the straps back to the best angle
you like. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN, or
it may rip the fabric. We recommend a
more upright sitting position for long-time
comfortable paddling.

VERSA-TRACK™ ACCESSORY ATTACHMENT SYSTEM
AND ALUMINUM GEAR MOUNTING PLATFORM
Only Walker Bay®Airis®kayaks have such a versatile accessory attachment rail system.
The Sport 10, Sport 11 and Tender have the shorter version of the rail, while the Angler
kayak comes with the full-length version.
An aluminum accessory platform is available from Walker Bay Boats. It comes standard
with the Angler kayaks, but owners of the Sport 10, Sport 11 and Tender kayaks can
order it from Walker Bay or purchase it through any of the Airis®dealers.
The platform provides hundreds of possibilities of mounting equipments or accessories
onto the kayak. Besides fishing rod holders, you can also mount GPS, fish finder, storage
container, navigation/safety lights, or even water cannons on the platform! Just drill or
tap on the platform, and install whatever you want to have on the kayak.
The full length rail system on the Angler kayaks allows you to position the aluminum
platform anywhere you want – behind you, in front of you, or you can even sit on it. Or
you can install more than one platforms for more equipments. The options are endless,
only limited by your imagination!
To mount the aluminum platform onto
the rail, find the plastic adapters under
the platform. It is like a hollow tube with
opening on one side.
With the adapter facing down, align the
platform on the back of the boat, in front
of the ends of the rails.
NOTICE
On the full-length rail system on the Angler kayak, there are 2 openings in the middle
of the rail. If you want to have the platform near the middle section of the kayak, start
from the nearest opening.

We do our best to make installing the aluminum platform as easy as possible. However,
on rare occasions, the aluminum platform may be very tight and difficult to move on the
rails. In this case, try partially deating the kayak. This will make platform installation
and movement a lot easier. Re-inflate the kayak after installation and positioning is
complete.
Do not kick the aluminum platform or use too much force. It could damage the
rails or puncture the hull of the kayak.
CAUTION
Insert the end of the rail runner into the
opening of the adapter. Use water or soap
water for lubrication.
After both rails are in the adapters, push
the platform forward with both hands.
Push on both sides until the platform is at
the ideal position.

SPRAY COVER
Convert your sit-on-top Airis®Kayak into a sit-inside model with the addition of the Spray
Cover. Waterproof and UV resistant, the Spray Cover will keep you dry from drips and
splashes, and protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. One size fits all Airis®Kayaks
(except Tandem and Angler models), it is available in yellow.
To install the Spray Cover, first remove the
hooks of the back straps from the D-rings.
You don’t need to completely remove the
seat and backrest. Just those 2 hooks to
clear the splash guard around the seat.

steps. First open the Velcro straps on

Loosening the straps before removing the
hooks will make un-hooking a lot easier.

Open the zipper along both sides of the
Spray Cover. Finally, press the Velcro strap to secure
the top in place.
Push the top of the Spray Cover forward
to give enough room for entering the
kayak with ease.
Enter the kayak.
After being seated, pull the Spray Cover
back to you, and close the zipper.
Do not use the Spray Cover in white water or where there are waves.
The Spray Cover is designed for recreational use. The bungee cord that secures
the Spray Cover to the kayak may not be able to remain in place under extreme
conditions, and may come off, especially if a loose fit was set by the user. This
could result in the Spray Cover wrapping around the paddler’s body.
In the case of this situation, push the Spray Cover down below your waist, and lift
your feet out of the top of the frame to exit.

CONNECT-A-YAK SYSTEM
The Walker Bay® Connect-A-Yak®System is a very unique device to connect two or more
kayaks together, which is not available on any other kayak in the world. It allows you to
join Tender kayaks together for various purposes, or just for fun!
To connect two Tender kayaks, find the single connection loop at the bow of the kayak,
and the double connection loop at the stern.
Find the metal connection bar attached to
the double connection loops. Remove it
from the loops. Use water or soap water
for lubrication.
Align the stern of the front kayak with the
bow of the back kayak, so the connection
loops rest against each other. The single
connection loop should be placed right
between the double connection loops,
allowing the metal connection bar to go
through all 3 loops.
Only Walker Bay®Airis®Tender®Kayaks can be connected. Other Walker Bay®
Airis®Kayaks do not come with this connection system, nor does any other kayak
manufacturer’s products in the market.
NOTICE
Use water or soap water to lubricate the metal connection bar, and insert it into all the
3 loops. It should be quite tight, and the bar will stay in place. Now the 2 kayaks are
connected.
To connect more kayaks, repeat the same process.
To disconnect, use water or soap water for lubrication, and pull the connection bar out
of the loops. It will be tight. Use the attachment cord to help pull it out. After it is
removed, attach it to the double connection loops at the stern so it does not get lost.

THIGH STRAPS
Especially useful in surf and whitewater, the Walker Bay®Thigh Straps help you get more
control out of your Airis®kayak. Featuring double snap hooks for fast attachment and
removal, the Thigh Straps are fully adjustable to fit any sized paddler. Available in yellow
with gray mesh paddle.
The Thigh Straps come in pairs. They are
attached to the front and rear D-rings on
both sides of the cockpit, and hold the
paddler’s thighs in place.
To install the Thigh Straps, attach the
snap hook with the adjustable strap to the
front D-ring near the footrests.
When you want to use the Thigh Straps,
rest your knees on both sides of the
cockpit in a comfortable and relaxed
position.
Pull the Thigh Straps up and wrap them
around your knees. Make sure that the
straps are at, not twisted.
Tighten the strap to the best fit that you
feel comfortable with. Keep your knees
slightly bent to keep the Thigh Straps
engaged. For example, if you normally
use the first pair of footrest, you could use
the second pair of footrest when you use
the Thigh Straps.
To remove the Thigh Straps, simply
straighten your legs. The Thigh Straps
will just loosen. Leave them on the sides
of the cockpit till you get ashore.
And attach the other snap hook to the
rear D-ring beside the seat.
After the Thigh Straps are installed, you
can start paddling with or without the
Thigh Straps holding your legs to the
sides.
Unhooking the Thigh Straps during the trip may result in loosing the Thigh Straps.
Do not completely remove them until you have reach your destination or have
access to storage.

WHEEL KIT FOR ANGLERS
A fishing kayak could get heavy after all the fishing and safety equipment and gear are
loaded into the kayak. It becomes difficult to move the kayak on the beach unless you
have wheels under it. Also, stability is very important to fishing kayaks because the
operator will need to have access to all storage compartments and do several things at
the same time. He/she may even need to move to different parts of the kayak.
The Walker Bay Wheel Kit can help in both aspects. Equipped with balloon style tires
and an easy to install/remove system, the Wheel Kit comes in handy no matter you are
on shore, or paddling in water.
The Wheel Kit comes with 3 parts: 2
balloon wheels, and an aluminum axle.
Inflate the wheels to the correct air
pressure (see air pressure information on
the wheels) with a bicycle pump.
Push the axle through both lower wheel
holders until it is centered. It should be a
tight fit.
Install the wheels onto the axle on both
sides, by pushing down the push button
on the axle. The push buttons will hold
the wheel in place. The wheels have
specific rotation directions, so make sure
that you install the one marked “right” on
the right side, and “left” on the left side.
When ready to get into water, the wheels
at the lower position must be changed to
the higher position, or the kayak would be
extremely slow. To do this, remove the
wheel on the end without the axle ring.

To install the wheel kit when you are on
beach, insert the aluminum axle into the
lower set of wheel holders. Start with the
end without the ring.
Do not over-inate the wheels, or the tires could be stretched too thin and be
prone to punctures.
Only the lower wheel holders could provide a high enough clearance for you to
pull the kayak without causing damage to the bottom of the kayak. Do not try to
pull the kayak with the wheels installed on the upper wheel holders.

Pull the axle out from the lower wheel
holders. You do not have to remove the
other wheel. Insert it into the higher
wheel holders.
To install the Removable Skegs, first
partially deate the kayak. It cannot be
installed when the kayak is fully inated.
After the kayak is partially deated, hook
the front tip of the blade into the forward
base.
Bend the kayak body to shorten the
distance between the 2 skeg bases. Hook
the rear of the blade into the rear base.
Push the stern of the kayak into the bases
if necessary (as shown in picture).
With the wheels at the upper position,
the wheels will not be in water when you
paddle. But when you have much weight
on one side of the kayak or lose balance,
the wheel on that side will engage and
provide oatation.
REMOVABLE SKEGS FOR TENDER
Walker Bay’s Removable Skegs provide superior hydrodynamic performance, and at the
same time offer the owner the choice to make the package smaller. Isn’t it the best of
both worlds?
Removable Skegs are now only available on Airis Tender kayaks.

Stretch the 2 skeg bases to ensure a
secure lock. Now the blade should stay
vertically in place and should be firmly
locked.
Install the other blade in the same way.
After they are both in place, re-inate the
kayak to correct working pressure. Test
again to make sure that both skegs are
securely locked in place and cannot come
off.
To remove the skegs, partially deate the kayak body, bend the area between the 2 skeg
bases to unlock the blade.
CLEANING
After use, rinse with fresh water; wash away sand and debris.
Rinse the cockpit and under the inatable oor to remove sand and debris.
NOTICE
Do not clean with oily or abrasive substances or chemicals.
Do not use products that could be harmful to PVC.
Do not discharge cleaning products or chemicals into waterways.
Some suntan lotions can discolor PVC fabric.
STORAGE
Clean kayak before storing.
Dry kayak before storing to prevent accumulation of mould.
Store in a cool and dry place.
NOTICE
Do not store kayak in a place where it may come in contact with sharp or abrasive
objects.
TRANSPORTATION & TOWING
To transport with an automobile deate the kayak and transport it inside the trunk or
boot of the automobile.
Do not transport kayak on an automobile roof rack. This could result in damage to
the kayak or a hazardous driving situation.
Do not tow behind a boat. This craft in not designed for towing behind a boat.
Towing behind a boat could result in injury or damage to the craft.

SMALL TEARS, CUTS, PUNCTURES
Tears, leaks, or punctures less than 0.5 inches or 1cm can be repaired with the repair kit
provided.
1. Prepare a round patch no less than 3 inches or 7 centimeters in diameter.
2. Clean the patch and the area surrounding the leak with Isopropyl Alcohol.
NOTICE
The patch and kayak skin must be clean or the patch may not adhere properly.
3. To contain excess glue, use masking tape to tape off the area around the patch.
Excess glue will discolor.
4. Apply 3 thin, even coats of repair kit adhesive to both the surface of the kayak and
the patch. Wait 5 minutes between each coat.
5. After the 3rd coat, wait 10-15 minutes before applying the patch. Use a hand roller to
apply the patch evenly. Pay special attention to the edges.
6. Wait 24 hours before re-inating. Inate to working pressure and check water-tight-
ness and/or air-tightness before using.
FINDING SMALL LEAKS
1. Mix a solution of 4 cups of fresh water and 1 cup of mild non-antibacterial liquid
soap. Do not use a spray bottle containing household cleaners.
2. Inate kayak approximately to working pressure.
3. Spray the soapy solution over suspected area of leak.
4. Look for air bubbles. Bubbles around an air valve indicate it is probably loose. Use the
tool included in the repair kit and gently tighten valve. Bubbles on the surface of the
kayak skin indicate a puncture or leak.
5. Repair the kayak by following the procedure for SMALL TEARS, CUTS, PUNCTURES or
contact Walker Bay®customer service.

For large tears or repairs to seams it is recommended that the kayak be returned
to Walker Bay® or your dealer for repair by a trained professional. Contact Walker
