Raptor Use
The Walkers Raptor can be used two ways.
Enhancement Only
Worn alone, the Raptor can provide amplied hearing as needed along
with the Bluetooth functions. When used this way there is NO NOISE
PROTECTION. DO NOT OPERATE THE RAPTOR IN THIS METHOD
WHILE USING A FIREARM.
Enhancement & Protection
To utilize the Raptor as an Enhancement & Protection device you will need to
use a set of the included foam plugs or any other form of in the ear hearing
protection. Simply t the plugs as directed. The Raptor will provide the
enhancement & Bluetooth functions via bone conduction while the foam plugs
protect hearing from load noises such as gunre.

Page 6
How to Properly Fit the Raptor
Raptor should only be worn after foam plugs have been properly tted. See page 7
for how to properly t your plugs.
1. Place Raptor on head so that it wraps over your ears and both pads rest on
your temples.
Note: Raptor should not sit inside the ear.
2. For best audio quality, both pads should make direct contact with the skin on
your temples. Obstruction from hair, glasses, or other headware may reduce
sound quality.
3. Once your Raptor is tted, the headset should t comfortably over your ears,
applying a light pressure to your temples.

Page 7
How to Properly Fit Your Foam Plugs
Your Raptor does not provide hearing protection on its
own. Foam plugs must be properly worn to ensure hearing
protection from gun shots and other loud noises.
Step 1: Compress the foam plug by rolling between your ngers until it
becomes malleable.
Step 2: Quickly insert the foam plugs into the ear canal as deep as it is
comfortable to wear.
Step 3: Hold in place for 10 seconds to ensure plug expands and seals in the
ear canal.
NOTE: Your ear plugs should form a complete seal, blocking out sound. This
is critical to achieve the highest NRR Rating and protect your hearing.
Outside noises should be signicantly reduced. If not remove the plugs and
perform step 1-3 again until a good seal is made.

NRR Information
NOTE: This product is NOT hearing protection and must be
used with NRR rated in ear canal, ear buds.
Although hearing protectors can be recommended for protection against the
harmful eects of impulsive noise, the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) is based
on the attenuation of continuous noise and may not be an accurate indicator of
the protection attainable against impulsive noise such as gunre.
The level of noise entering a person’s ear, when hearing protector is worn as
directed, is closely approximated by the dierence between the A-weighted
environmental noise level and the NRR.
Example:
1. The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dBA.
2. The NRR is 22 decibels (dB)
3. The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to [92dB-22dB]
Caution: For noise environments dominated by frequencies below 500 Hz the
C-weighted environmental
noise level should be used.
