The Aclare Water Filtration Pitcher is the most tested,

The Aclare Water Filtration Pitcher is intended for use
with chlorinated or disinfected water supply only;
and not intended for use with water from private wells
(unless water is disinfected), rivers, streams, or oceans.
The lters remove/reduce up to 99.99% of
contaminants commonly found in drinking water:
• Oensive tastes, odors, chlorine, silt, sand and
sediment
• Industrial and agricultural contaminants such as
PCBs, THMs, detergents, pesticides, herbicides,
fungicides, insecticides, pharmaceuticals, etc.
• Heavy metals such as aluminum, arsenic, asbestos,
cadmium, chromium 6, copper, lead, mercury, zinc
and up to 90% of uoride
• Radon 222

STEP 1—Unpack
Remove contents from box and identify all parts:
STEP 2—Prepare & assemble
Lift the lid from the carafe, exposing the reservoir, and
remove the lters. Once the lters are removed, wash
the carafe, reservoir and lid with mild soap and water.
Then dry thoroughly. NOTE: DO NOT wash the lters.
STEP 3—Flush the lters
The lters are pre-ushed prior to shipment; however,
we recommend you re-ush the lters before the rst
use. This provides optimal water ow and eectiveness.
NOTE: Refer to the Filter Flushing Instructions
included in the box.
STEP 4—Attach Filters
Attach the lters to the reservoir by screwing clockwise
until hand-tight.
STEP 5—Assemble
Place reservoir into carafe so that
Side A is facing the spout and
Side B is facing the handle. Install lid.
STEP 6—Fill with tap water
Fill the reservoir with COLD chlorinated or disinfected tap
water through the ll opening. Capacity is about 1½
quarts. After the water lters into the lower carafe, you
can rell with another 1½ quarts of tap water since the
carafe holds approximately 3 quarts of ltered water. It is
okay for the puried water level to ll above the lters.
Enjoy great tasting ltered water for up to 200 gallons!
Filters last for approximately six months depending upon
water usage and water quality. Diminished water ow is
a sign that the lters are clogging with contaminants,
nearing the end of their eectiveness and will soon need
replacement.
We recommend that you re-ush lters anytime you
notice an issue with water ow, however, due to the
many possible contaminants in water throughout the
world, the reduced water ow is a prompt that the lters
will soon need to be replaced.
Pitcher maintenance & storage:
It is recommended that you periodically clean the carafe,
reservoir and lid with mild soapy water.
When the pitcher will not be used for an extended
period of time, remove the reservoir and unscrew lters.
Allow to air dry thoroughly (24 hours). When completely
dry, reassemble and store until ready for use. After storage
for an extended period, re-ush lters before use.
