We are delighted that you have selected this Webasto product. We trust that
the workshop / service centre that carried out the installation explained to you
the operation and principle of functioning of your AirTop Evo MultiControl
(MC04/05) to your complete satisfaction.This operating and servicing manual
is intended to give you an additional overview of how to use the AirTop Evo
MultiControl (MC04/05).

Using the control panel AirTop Evo MultiControl (MC04/05), you can select the
functions of the Webasto air heaters AirTop Evo.The control panel is to switch
on/off,aswellastopreselecttheoperation modesandtheinteriortemperature.
For technical data as well as references to the installation, see the installation
instructions of the specific heater.
In 12Vapplications, there is the possibility to combine control panel and heater
with an optional Webasto Telestart or ThermoCall.

Safety instructions
The heater must not be operated:
Danger of
explosion and
suffocation!
•
In filling stations, fuel depots and refineries.
•
In places where explosive vapours or dust may build
up (e.g. near fuel, coal, wood dust or cereal stores).
•
Close to inflammable materials such as:
Dry grass and leaves, cardboard packaging, paper,
etc.
•
In enclosed rooms (e.g. garages), not even via the
timer or Telestart.

Operation
Main switch ON / OFF
Switching on the heater
By pressing the main switch ON / OFF the heater is activated.
After switching on, the main switch illuminates and the indicator "ON / Status"
lights to confirm the heater operation.
Switching off the heater
By pressing the main switch ON / OFF again the heater operation is stopped.
After switching off, the lighting of the main switch is also off.
The indicator "ON / Status" goes off after approx. 3 minutes (cooling down of
the heater).

Mode selector knob
Withthemodeselectorknobyoucanselectthedesiredfunctionsofyourheater
by placing the index on the desired symbol.
You can adjust the desired interior temperature with the temperature selector.
Preferably the temperature selector should bein the markedrange of the scale
(comfort range).

Eco - Energy saving mode
In this mode the heating is switched to electricity/fuel saving operation.This
mode is appropriate for saving battery power and environmentally friendly
heating operation and to maintain a moderate temperature level.
Important!
Dependinguponthesizeoftheareatobeheated,theambienttemperatureand
thedesiredinterior temperature, it is possible that the desired temperature may
not be attained. In this case select another mode.

Normal - Comfort heating
In thismode the heater runs at maximum nominal power.Air is heated up to the
desired temperature.Select this mode for fast warming of the interior or to
maintain a moderate temperature level.

Plus - Fast heating
In this mode the heater temporarily runs at an increased amount of power.This
makes it possible to heat up air to the desired temperature in short time.If fast
heating of the interior is desired, because it is particularly cold and it shall
become warm quickly, this mode can be selected.
Important!
The operation time for this mode is limited!
As soon as the desired temperature is reached,switch the mode selector knob
to "normal" or "Eco"!
After a period of time or when the desired temperature is reached the heater
will automatically switch to the normal mode.

Fan - Ventilation
In this mode only the heater fan is operated.The fan speed can be adjusted by
temperature selector.
This mode provides a flow of fresh air and can be used to cool the interior.
Important!
If the heater has been operating in combustion mode beforehand, a period of
3 minutes must elapse to allow the system to cool down before a flow of fresh
air can be achieved.

Altitude - Altitude correction
With a heater operation over 1,200 m above sea level this mode must be used
to reach the desired temperature.This mode ensures an optimal combustion
process inside the heater at altitudes up to 2,200 m above sea level.
The altitude mode is not available for MC04 versions.

Temperature selection for heating / ventilation
Temperature selection
when selecting operating mode
Depending on the selected mode of the heater you can adjust the desired
interior temperature with the temperature selector. Preferably the temperature
selector should be in the marked range of the scale (comfort range).

Temperature selection for heating / ventilation
Fan speed
when selecting operating mode
In this mode the fan speed may be adjusted with the temperature selector, in
order to get the desired flow of fresh air (e.g. for cooling) into the interior.This
function does not replace an air conditioning.

Status indicator / service indicator
Status indicator
Faultless operation::
– The normal operation of the equipment is represented by the status
indicator, illuminating green light.
– After switching off the heater (main switch) the status indicator shows the
normal cooling down process of the heater.
After the heater has cooled down normally, the status indicator shuts off.
Fault:
During an operational fault a flashing code is displayed by the status indicator.
This function enables a professional workshop to diagnose the fault efficiently.
In this case please visit a Webasto service station!

Service indicator
The indicator shows a flashing code with even frequency for approx.
10 seconds.No fault is present,however, itis recommended tohave the device
examined/maintained by a Webasto service station.
