CAP1 - Presentation
WELLMAG belongs to a new line of electromedical instruments for physiotherapy. Its
main characteristics are its reduced dimensions, its easy of use and its versatility.
1.1 - What is WELLMAG?
Thanks to the constant investigation and research, we created a new system for
magnetotherapy, our WELLMAG. Through the preset and ready to use programs and
its innovative software, magnetic fields are created for therapeutic purpose and for
the treatment of common pathologies (lesions, accidents, illnesses). It’s an extremely
innovative product thanks to its technological features and its ease of use.
1.2 - What is WELLMAG for?
With WELLMAG it is possible to apply magnetic fields with beneficial effects on the
reconstruction of the bone tissue and, in general, on the regeneration of damaged
tissues. Also, it can be used to obtain analgesic, anti-inflammatory and anti-edema
effects.
1.3 - Who can use WELLMAG?
WELLMAG expresses its own potential in the medical field (physiotherapy particularly).
Nevertheless, thanks to its ease of use and versatility, it can be used not only by
physicians and therapists, but also from whoever desires to use it at home. Thanks to
its reduced dimensions and rechargeable battery, it can be used anytime and during
travelling. Do not use the product in high-temperature and humid environments.
ATTENTION: for home use, please follow the prescriptions of magnetotherapy of
your doctor.
2.1 - Indications
The magnetic fields can treat the most common pathologies, mainly the ones related
to the bone system and joints. They are especially suitable in the treatment of:
Recent fractures;
Pseudarthrosis, arthrosis, arthritis;
Inflammatory and degenerative arthropathies;
Please consult your doctor for diagnose and follow up of the therapy.
2.2 - Contraindications
The side effects of the magnetic fields are the same as the ones of physical therapies
that act with the endogenous production of heat:
presence of metallic fragments;
neoplasms (tumors);
tuberculosis
acute inflammation;
cutaneous lesions;
sensitivity alteration;
pace-maker;
pregnancy;

NOTE: before applying the magnetotherapy, check the contraindications and
consult the physician that prescribed the therapy.
4.1 - Connection and application of solenoids
Connect the cable of the solenoids to the output of the device. Insert, rotate and
tighten the connector into the output. Solenoids must be placed on the area to be
treated (they can be applied on the top of stockings or cloths) and can be fixed with
the elastic straps. The plain side on the solenoids must be placed in contact with the
area to be treated.
4.2 - WELLMAG operating with band EasyCare
WELLMAG offers magnetotherapy treatments at low and high frequency. For high
frequency (program 31H), it is mandatory to use WELLMAG with Easycare band or with
any optional accessories for high frequency. Solenoids CANNOT be used. For the other
low frequency programs (from P01 to P30), solenoids can be used.
4.3 - Power source
You can use WELLMAG with battery or with power supply (230V), connecting the
power supply to the device and to the AC mains.
4.4 - Turning on the device
Press key (2) - ON/OFF.
4.5 - Program selection
When turning on the device, the section programs (PROG) is displayed.
WELLMAG offers:
- 30 preset LOW FREQUENCY programs (from N.1 to N.30), identified by letter P. These
can only be used with solenoids or low frequency accessories;
- 5 adjustable programs identified by letter U. You can save here programs in low
frequency, prescribed by your doctor.;
- 1 HIGH FREQUENCY program (N.31 HF) , that has an antalgic effect thanks to its
automatic scanning mode. This program can be used with the Easycare band or
with high therapy accessories (Cap14);
To select the desired program, use the keys (+)/(-).

4.6 - Start of the therapy
When the desired program appears on the display, press START.
Once pressed, the section TIME is displayed, where you an see the remaining time.
NOTE: if you press START and the solenoid is not inserted in the instrument, the
stimulation stops, the device make a sound and the display shows the message
“SOL”; insert the connector and press 2 START.
4.7 - Setting the frequency in preset low frequency programs
Frequency (Hz) is preset but can be adjusted manually from [1-200]Hz with interval of
1Hz. Go to FREQ menu using the key and change the value using (+)/(-) keys. To go
back to TIME, press .
4.8 - Setting the intensity in preset low frequency programs
Intensity (G) is preset but can be adjusted manually from [1-100] Gauss with interval
of 1G. Go to INTEN menu pressing twice the key and change the value using (+)/(-)
keys. To go back to TIME, press .
4.9 - Setting Time
It is possible to increase a program duration (Timer) to perform a longer treatment
(few hours or night time, up to 8 hours maximum). This can be done in low and high
frequency programs. To set the time while performing the treatment, use the keys
and to go to the TIME menu, then change the value with (+)/(-). Each pressing
increases or decreases time by 5 minutes.
NOTE: we recommend using the power supply if the device is used for 2-3 hours
sessions.
PRECAUTION: for the duration of the session, please always refer to the doctor that
prescribed you the magnetotherapy, especially for those of 4-8 hours. We recommend
not to change the values of the preset programs, unless specified by the doctor.
NOTE: if values are changed while performing the treatment, those will not be saved.
So to use them again during the following sessions, you will have to change them
again.

4.10 - End or interruption of the session
If you want to stop the device before the program ends, press the key (2) PAUSE once
for a break (to continue press (2) START); hold pressing (2) PAUSE to end the therapy
(the device will turn off)
4.11 - Turning off the device
To turn off the instrument press and hold the key (2) ON/OFF for some seconds. After
the end of a program, if the device is not used again, it automatically turns off after a
few minutes.

5.1 - Setting of free program
To access to the setting from PROG menu area use the keys (+)/(-) and go to the
U programs. Use the keys and to go to INTEN, FREQ, TIME menu. Change the
parameters as desired with the keys (+)/(-). Once the parameters have been selected,
press key 2 START to start the selected therapy. When the devices will be turned off
the program will be saved.

To help you choosing the setting in the free programs, please check the guidelines
below: in the first column you find the available parameters with the corresponding
values, while in the second column you find the corresponding type of application.

MAINS FEEDING: power suppy through electrical power
(charger connected).
1. Connect the solenoids cable to the device
2. Hold the magnet between fingers to put it on the top of the solenoid
3. Turn on the device and start program P10
4. If the device is working properly, you will notice the magnet vibrating between
fingers. This is due to the continuous polarity inversion on the solenoids.
If you want to feel a stronger vibration, increase intensity of P10.
5. Run the same test on the other solenoid
NOTE:
Run the test with P10 program as this is where the vibration is felt the most.
If working with this program, it will also with the other programs.
NOTE:
the magnet is only working when using solenoids and low frequency programs.
It cannot be used with Easycare band (magnet cannot detect high frequency)
4.12 - Symbols on display

6.1 - Therapy planning
Always perform the magnetotherapy following your medical prescription.
You can perform the therapy every day, following your medical prescription,
until improvement is reached. You can perform the therapy two or
three times per day, with 2-3 hours of break between sessions, and
maximum of 8 hrs. If the problem persists, please consult your doctor.
6.2 - Position to be maintained during the sessions
Maintain a relaxed position during each session. Depending on the area of
application, the body is lying supine or prone. The position must be maintained
during the whole session to facilitate the effects produced by the magnetic
field.
The Easycare band can be used open on the area to treat or can be wrapped on
the area.
Solenoids can be used in pair or individually (in case the area to threat is a small
one). They can be used one facing the other, to intensify the effect on the area) or
one next to the other (Fig.10) as for example in case of lumbago and cervical pain..
NOTE: the intensity of the program is calculated using both solenoids. Of only one
solenoid is used, the intensity will be cut by the half (e.g. P.1 Fracture, intensity
96G with both solenoids, 48G if only one is used)

7.1 - Charge indication
When WELLMAG is powered by the inside battery on the bar of the symbols of the
display the symbol Battery it appears “ “
When the empty battery icon is displayed, please charge the device. If not, the device
will automatically turn off.

WELLMAG can be powered from mains with the endowed power supply or from the
internal rechargeable battery Li-ion 12V - 3,8Ah, with an autonomy of some hours
under normal use conditions. The guaranteed autonomy may change depending on
the program, intensity and time of application.
For the correct identification of battery and power supply, consult the Chap. “Technical features”. Neither
the power supply nor the battery must be replaced from not experienced staff. Do not use spare parts
which are not provided or approved by the manufacturer.

7.2 - Battery recharge
To recharge the battery of WELLMAG:
1) Turn off the device;
2) Plug the power supply into the device and into mains;
3)Leave the device charging (on the display the battery icon will blink while
charging). When full charge is completed (approx. 3 hours), the battery charged
icon will appear (Once in a while we recommend leaving the device charging fo
8-10 hours)
4) Disconnect the power supply from mains and WELLMAG.

7.3 - Battery maintenance
The life of a rechargeable battery depends on the number and type of cycles of charge
/ discharge. If WELLMAG is not used frequently, we recommend recharging the battery
monthly; to prolong the life of the battery we recommend once in a while discharging
it completely (see empty battery symbol) and to have a complete 8-12 hours recharge
cycle.
7.4 - Battery replacement
When the battery’s life is significantly lower than it used to be, we recommend replacing
it. For this, please refer to an authorized Centre of Assistance that will replace it under
all security and safety requirements.
Never reverse the polarity of the connections of the battery, not to cause the destruction of the
electronic circuits.
7.5 - Precautions for use
1) Do not throw the exhausted battery with the ordinary wastes. Please take them to
the corresponding collection site.
2) Do not manipulate/ throw the battery into a fire.
3) Do not short-circuit the terminals.
4) Avoid sparks or flames, above or around the battery.
5) In case of direct contact with liquid leaking from the battery, wash immediately
with water. In case of direct contact with eyes, wash abundantly with water and
consult immediately a doctor.

9.1 - Solenoids
The connection’s cable must be periodically revised to check the possible presence
of cracks, possible cause of dispersion of the magnetic fields. Clean the solenoids
periodically with a damp cloth.
9.2 - Device and power supply
We recommended cleaning the device and power supply with a damp cloth. Do not
use in any liquid, because these devices are not liquid proof (IP20).
9.3 - Power supply replacement
Check periodically the level of wear of the isolating parts of the power supply before
connecting it. If it’s damaged, also only partially, replace immediately the power
supply.
9.4 - Immediate maintenance
external mechanical stress (eg. serious falls);
strong overheating (eg. if the device has been left close to sources of intense heat);
some liquids may have been penetrating the device;
the power supply, or other parts of the device are damaged, broken or missing;
the functionality of the instrument seems altered.
Use the device with the endowed accessories only
Run every year a secur-tester to check the device following the legislation EN60601-1. The useful life of the
device is guaranteed only if such maintenance is regularly performed.

Immediate maintenance must be performed by authorized staff if one of the
followings occurs:

Pay attention and use carefully the device with solenoids, not to compromise the effectiveness of the treatment.
Make sure that the electric system is in conformity with the actual safety norms.
The instrument has degree of protection IP20 (see Chap. “Technical features”). Do not use it close to liquids,
because it’s not liquid proof.
Do not use close to cellular telephones (maintain at least one meter of distance).
The stability of the emission can be affected when operating close (less than 1 meter) to an instrument with
short waves therapy or microwaves.
Do not use with the presence of devices to monitor the patient’s vitals.
Do not connect simultaneously the patient with the WELLMAG and with a surgical instrument High Frequency,
to avoid dangers for the patient and for the instrument.
The device works accordingly to its specifications if the environment is maintained to a temperature
between the 5° and the 40° C and with humidity inferior to the 80%. The same conditions must be
maintained during transportation and the storage.
In case of malfunctioning, do not use and request service of reparation.
Do not operate in proximity of inflammable substances.
Use only gels and accessory that are endowed with the device.
It’s important to inform the patient on the type of sensation they will experience during the therapy. In case
the patient perceive a different sensation, it is important to stop the treatment and to remove the solenoids.
If the intensity is causing overheating or pain in the treated zone, it is necessary to reduce immediately the
intensity of stimulation or eventually interrupt the treatment.

KAP2 - Indikationen Und Kontraindikationen
WellMag gehört zur neuen Linie der elektromedizinischen Geräte für die Physiotherapie.
Diese innovative Produktlinie zeichnet sich durch ihre kompakte Bauweise,
Anwenderfreundlichkeit und Vielseitigkeit aus.
1.1 - Was ist WELLMAG?
Die konstante Forschung im Bereich der Medizingeräte hat zur Entwicklung des neuen
Systems für die Magnetfeldtherapie geführt, das aus dem Generator WELLMAG verfügt,
der sich durch seine kompakte Bauweise und seine professionellen Eigenschaften
auszeichnet. Die innovative Software ermöglich das Generieren von Magnetfeldern zu
therapeutischen Zwecken zur Behandlung verbreiteter Krankheiten (Verletzungen, Unfälle,
Erkrankungen) durch Verwendung der betriebsbereiten voreingestellten Programme.
Die technologische Innovation und die Anwenderfreundlichkeit machen WellMag
zu einem extrem innovativen Produkt im Bereich der elektromedizinischen Geräte.
1.2 - Wozu wird WELLMAG verwendet?
WELLMAG bietet die Möglichkeit zur Anwendung von Magnetfeldern, die den Aufbau
von Knochengewebe und im Allgemeinen die Regenerierung von geschädigtem
Gewebe fördern und außerdem eine schmerzlindernde, entzündungshemmende und
ödemhemmende Wirkung haben.
1.3 - Für wen ist WELLMAG bestimmt?
WELLMAG findet im medizinischen Bereich und insbesondere in der Physiotherapie
Anwendung, wo das Magnetfeldtherapiegerät sein ganzes Potential entfalten kann.
Aufgrund der Anwenderfreundlichkeit kann das Gerät aber nicht nur von Ärzten und
Physiotherapeuten verwendet werden, sondern auch von allen Privatpersonen, die
zu Haus ihr körperliches Wohlbefinden verbessern möchten, da das Gerät einfach zu
bedienen und vielseitig ist. Aufgrund seiner kompakten Bauweise lässt sich das Gerät
außerdem leicht transportieren und kann dank seines Akkus auch auf Reisen oder überall
dort verwendet werden, wo dies erforderlich ist. Das Gerät darf nicht in sehr heißen
und feuchten Umgebungen verwendet werden (siehe Kap. SICHERHEITSHINWEISE).
ACHTUNG: Für die Verwendung des Geräts zu Hause müssen die Anweisungen des
Arztes beachtet werden, der die Magnetfeldtherapie verschrieben hat.
2.1 - Indikationen
Die Krankheiten, die am häufigsten mit der Magnetfeldtherapie behandelt werden, sind
Erkrankungen der Knochen und der Gelenke. Magnetfelder eignen sich insbesondere
zur Behandlung von:
neue Knochenbrüche, verzögerte Knochenheilung;
Pseudoarthrose, Arthrose und Arthritis;
entzündliche und degenerative Arthropathien;
Es wird empfohlen, sich für die Diagnose und die Kontrolle der Therapie an einen Arzt
zu wenden.
2.2 - Kontraindikationen
Magnetfelder haben wie physikalische Behandlungen, die auf der Wirkung durch
endogene Wärmeerzeugung beruhen, einige Gegenanzeigen:
Vorhandensein von Metallfragmenten;
Neoplasie (Tumore);
Tuberkulose;
akute Entzündungsprozesse;
Hautverletzungen;
Sensibilitätsstörungen;
Herzschrittmacher;
Schwangerschaft.

ACHTUNG: Vor Anwendung der Magnetfeldtherapie müssen die Kontraindikationen
geprüft und die Anweisungen des Arztes aufmerksam beachtet werden, der die
Magnetfeldtherapie verschrieben hat.
4.1 - Anschluss und Anbringung der Magnete
Das Kabel der Magnete an den Kabelausgang am Gerät anschließen. Um den
Stecker einzustecken, den Stecker so drehen, dass die Kontakte mit der Buchse vom
Kabelausgang übereinstimmen. Das Kabel nach dem Einstecken bis zum Anschlag
festschrauben.Die Magnete müssen so angebracht werden, dass die kleinen schwarzen
Riemen, die sich an jedem Magneten befinden, nach außen zeigen und den Körper
des Patienten nicht berühren.Wenn z.B. ein Knie behandelt wird (siehe Abb. 17, Kap. 6
Anwendungen), müssen die Magnete gegenüberliegend und mit nach außen zeigendem
Riemen positioniert werden, um eine einfache Befestigung mit dem elastischen Band zu
ermöglichen.
4.2 - Korrekte Funktionsweise von WELLMAG zusammen mit EasyCare-Band
Das Gerät WellMag eignet sich sowohl für Magnetfeldtherapie mit Niederfrequenz als
auchmitHochfrequenz.FürdieMagnetfeldbehandlungenmitHochfrequenz(Programm
31 HF) muss das Gerät WellMag zusammen mit dem Band EasyCare oder mit einem
anderen optionalen Zubehör für die Hochfrequenzbehandlung verwendet werden. Die
Magnete dürfen NICHT verwendet werden. Für an andere Niederfrequenzprogramme
(Programme P01 bis P30) dürfen nur die Magnete verwendet werden.
4.3 - Stromversorgung für den Gebrauch
Das Gerät WELLMAG kann mit dem Akku oder mit 230 V verwendet werden. Dazu das
Netzteil des Geräts an eine normale Netzsteckdose anschließen.
4.4 - Einschalten des Geräts
Das Gerät WELLMAG kann durch Drücken der Taste 2 ON/OFF eingeschaltet werden.
4.5 - Auswahl des Programms
Nach Einschalten des Geräts muss das Programm ausgewählt werden, was durch die
Anzeige PROG angezeigt wird. Das Gerät WellMag umfasst:
- 30 voreingestellte NIEDERFREQUENZ-Programme (Programm P01 bis P30), die nur mit
den Magneten oder mit Zubehör für Niederfrequenz verwendet werden können;
- 5 freie Programme (Programm U01 bis U05), in denen NIEDERFREQUENZ-Programme
gespeichert werden können, die nach ärztlichen Anweisungen personalisiert worden
sind (Kap. 5.1 Freie Programme, S. 11);
- 1 HOCHFREQUENZ-Programm (P31 HF), das hochfrequente Magnetfelder generiert, die
durch den automatischen Scanmodus des Geräts eine allgemeine schmerzlindernde
Wirkung haben. Für die Verwendung des HF-Programms wird das Band Easy Care oder
ein spezieller Applikator für HF-Therapien benötigt (Pag.49);
Das gewünschte Programm kann mit den Tasten (+)/(-) ausgewählt werden.

4.6 - Beginn der Stimulation
Wenn auf dem Display das gewünschte Programm angezeigt wird, die START-Taste
drücken.Nach Drücken der START-Taste wird am Display der Bereich TIME mit der
verbliebenen Restdauer angezeigt.
HINWEIS: Wenn die START-Taste gedrückt wird und das Kabel der Magnete nicht
mit dem Gerät verbunden ist, wird die Stimulation unterbrochen und es ertönt ein
akustisches Signal und am Display wird die Anzeige "SOL" angezeigt. In diesem Fall
das Kabel einstecken und die START-Taste (2) drücken.
4.7 - Einstellen der Frequenz in den NIEDERFREQUENZ-Programmen
In den voreingestellten Programmen ist die Frequenz (Hz) bereits festgelegt, kann aber
manuell im Bereich von [1-200] Hz in 1 Hz Schritten geändert werden. Nach Starten des
Programms die Option FREQ mit der Pfeiltaste  auswählen und dann die Frequenz
mit den Tasten (+)/(-) einstellen. Um zur Anzeige mit dem Timer zurückzukehren, die
Pfeiltaste  drücken, bis die Anzeige TIME angezeigt wird.
4.8 - Einstellen der Feldstärke in den NIEDERFREQUENZ-Programmen
In den voreingestellten Programmen ist auch die Stärke (G) bereits festgelegt, kann
aber manuell im Bereich von [1-100] Gauss in 1 G Schritten geändert werden.
Nach Starten des Programms die Option INTEN mit der Pfeiltaste  auswählen (Taste 2
x drücken) und dann die Feldstärke mit den Tasten (+)/(-) einstellen.
Um zur Anzeige mit dem Timer zurückzukehren, die Pfeiltaste  drücken, bis die
Anzeige TIME angezeigt wird.
4.9 - Einstellen vom Timer
Die Dauer eines Programms (Timer) kann geändert werden, um zum Beispiel die
Therapie um einige Stunden zur Verlängern oder für Anwendungen über Nacht. Die
maximale Programmdauer ist auf acht Stunden begrenzt. Die Dauer kann sowohl in
den Niederfrequenzprogrammen als auch im Programm 31-HF eingestellt werden. Zur
Regulierung des Timers bei laufendem Programm die Funktion TIME mit den Pfeiltasten
 und  auswählen und dann die Dauer mit den Tasten (+)/(-) einstellen.Jedes Drücken
der Tasten erhöht oder verringert den Timer um 5 Minuten.
HINWEIS: Wenn das Gerät mehr als 2-3 Stunden am Stück verwendet werden soll, wird
das Anschließen vom Netzteil an die Stromversorgung empfohlen.
ACHTUNG: Für die Dauer der Behandlungen müssen die Anweisungen des Arztes
beachtet werden, der die Magnetfeldtherapie verschrieben hat, insbesondere für
Anwendungen mit einer Dauer von 4 bis 8 Stunden. Im Allgemeinen wird empfohlen, die
Parameter der voreingestellten Programme nur auf Anweisung des Arztes zu verändern
und ansonsten die Programme so zu lassen, wie sie gespeichert worden sind.

4.10 - Unterbrechen / Beenden der Therapie
Wenn die Behandlung vorübergehend unterbrochen werden soll die PAUSE-Taste (2)
einmal drücken. Zur Wiederaufnahme der Behandlung, die START-Taste (2) drücken.
Die PAUSE-Taste (2) gedrückt halten, um die Behandlung vorzeitig abzubrechen (das
Gerät schaltet sich aus).
HINWEIS: Wenn ein Programm ausgewählt wurde und dann die Auswahl geändert
werden soll, muss das Gerät durch Drücken der OFF-Taste (2) ausgeschaltet und dann
durch Drücken der ON-Taste (2) wieder eingeschaltet werden.
4.11 - Ausschalten des Geräts
Zum Ausschalten des Geräts die Taste ON/OFF (2) einige Sekunden lang gedrückt
halten. Wenn das Gerät nach Ende eines Programms nicht mehr benützt wird, schaltet
es sich automatisch nach einigen Minuten aus.
4.12 - Symbole am Display
4.13 - Kontrolle Funktionstüchtigkeit Magnete
Da die Magnetfeldtherapie nicht wahrgenommen werden kann, wird zur Prüfung der
korrekten Funktionsweise des Geräts ein kleiner Magnet (in Cent-Größe) mitgeliefert,
mit dem der Funktionstest durchgeführt werden kann.
1. Das Kabel der Magnete an das Gerät anschließen.
2. Den Magnet zwischen Zeigefinger und Daumen halten und auf an einen Magnet des
Geräts halten.
3. Das Gerät einschalten und das Programm P10 starten.
4. Wenn das Gerät korrekt funktioniert, ist jetzt ein Vibrieren des Magnets spürbar,
der zwischen Zeigefinger und Daumen gehalten wird. Die Vibration des Magnets ist
durch die Umkehrung der Polarität an den Magneten des Geräts bedingt.
Um die Vibration besser zu spüren, kann nach Starten des Programms P10 die Stärke

5.1 - Einstellung eines freien Programms
Um die Einstellungen eines dieser Programme aus dem Bereich PROG aufzurufen, mit
dem Tasten (+)/(-) eines der freien Programme (U01 bis U05) auswählen. Dann mit den
Pfeiltasten und  die Parameter INTEN, FREQ und TIME aufrufen und die Werte mit den
Tasten (+)/(-) einstellen. Nach erfolgter Einstellung der Parameter die START-Taste (2)
drücken, um die gewünschte Behandlung zu starten. Bei Ausschalten des Geräts wird
das Programm gespeichert.

Für eine korrekte Einstellung der Parameter in den freien Programmen dient die
folgende Tabelle als Leitfaden. In der ersten Spalte werden die verfügbaren Parameter
mit den entsprechenden einstellbaren Werten angezeigt, die zweite Spalte gibt einen
Überblick über die entsprechende Wirkung und Anwendung.
HINWEIS: Wenn bei laufender Behandlung Einstellungen an den voreingestellten
Programmen durchgeführt werden, werden diese Programme nicht gespeichert, damit
die gespeicherten Programme nicht überschrieben werden. Eventuelle Änderungen
müssen deshalb bei jedem neuen Starten des Programms erneut durchgeführt
werden.

kann NICHT verwendet werden, um das Band EasyCare
zu testen. Der Grund dafür ist, dass der kleine Magnet
keine hochfrequenten Magnetfelder erkennen kann.
