Os termos “ferramenta elétrica” utilizados em todos os avisos
constantes destas instruções referem-se à sua ferramenta
elétrica acionada por corrente elétrica (com cabo de
alimentação) ou ferramenta elétrica acionada por bateria (sem
cabo de alimentação).
1) LOCAL DE TRABALHO
a) Mantenha o local de trabalho limpo e
bem arrumado.
Áreas com pouca iluminação e
desordenadas podem provocar acidentes.
b) Não utilize o aparelho em locais onde
existam líquidos, gases ou poeiras
inflamáveis e onde exista o risco de
explosão. As ferramentas elétricas produzem
faíscas que podem inflamar poeiras ou gases.
c) Mantenha as pessoas e particularmente
as crianças afastadas da ferramenta
elétrica durante o seu funcionamento.
Qualquer distração pode fazê-lo perder o controle da
ferramenta.
2) SEGURANÇA ELÉTRICA
a) O Plugue da ferramentas elétricas deve
encaixar bem na tomada de alimentação.
Nunca modifique plugues, seja de que
maneira for. Não utilize nenhuma adaptação
com ferramentas elétricas que tenham
ligação à terra. Plugues e cabos não devem
ser modificadas e tomadas de corrente adequadas
reduzem o risco de choque elétrico.
b) Evite o contato do corpo com superfícies
ligadas à terra como tubos, aquecedores,
fogões e frigoríficos. Existe um aumento do risco
de choque elétrico se o seu corpo estiver em contato
com a terra.
c) Não exponha este equipamento à chuva ou
humidade. A infiltração de água num aparelho
elétrico aumenta o risco de choque elétrico.
d) Utilize corretamente o cabo de alimentação.
Nunca utilize o cabo para transportar, puxar
ou desligar o aparelho da tomada de corrente.
Mantenha o cabo afastado de fontes de
calor, óleos, arestas afiadas ou peças em
movimento.
Cabos danificados ou modificados
aumentam o risco de choque elétrico.
e) Quando trabalhar com uma ferramenta
elétrica ao ar livre, use um cabo de
extensão adequado para utilização no
exterior.
A utilização de um cabo adequado para
uso exterior reduz o risco de choque elétrico.
f) Se não puder evitar a utilização de uma
ferramenta elétrica num local húmido,
utilize uma fonte de alimentação protegida
contra corrente residual.
A utilização de um
dispositivo com proteção contra corrente residual
reduz o risco de choque elétrico.
3) SEGURANÇA DE PESSOAS
a) Esteja atento, observe o que está fazendo
e seja prudente sempre que trabalhar com
uma ferramenta elétrica. Não utilize nunca
uma ferramenta elétrica quando estiver
cansado ou sob a influência de drogas,
álcool ou medicamentos.
Um momento de
desatenção quando se utiliza uma ferramenta elétrica
pode causar lesões graves.
b) Utilize equipamentos de segurança. Use
sempre óculos de proteção.
Equipamentos de
segurança, tais como máscaras protetoras, sapatos
de sola antiderrapante, capacetes ou proteções
auriculares devidamente utilizados reduzem o risco
de lesões.
c) Evite o arranque acidental da ferramenta.
Certifique-se de que o comutador de
alimentação está desligado antes de ligar
a ferramenta à fonte de alimentação e/ou
à bateria, antes de pega-la ou antes de a
transportar.
Se mantiver o dedo no interruptor
ou acionar o aparelho enquanto este estiver ligado
podem ocorrer acidentes.
d) Remova quaisquer chaves de ajuste ou de
porcas antes de ligar a ferramenta elétrica
.
Chaves de porcas ou de ajuste fixadas a peças
móveis da ferramenta podem causar lesões.
e) Não exceda as suas próprias capacidades
.
Mantenha sempre o corpo em posição firme e de
equilíbrio, o que lhe permite controlar melhor a

f) Mantenha o cabelo, vestuário e luvas
afastados de peças em movimento.

Tecidos soltos, joias e

g) Se forem fornecidos dispositivos para a
montagem de unidades de extração ou
recolha de resíduos, Assegure-se de que
são montados e utilizados adequadamente.

perigos relacionados com a presença de resíduos.
h) A familiaridade e uso frequente da
ferramenta não exclui a atenção aos
princípios de segurança.

Estas medidas de
segurança preventivas reduzem o risco de acidentes
com a ferramenta.
d) Quando não estiver usando a ferramenta
elétrica, guarde-a fora do alcance das
crianças e não deixe que esta seja utilizada
por pessoas que não a conheçam, nem
tenham lido as instruções. As ferramentas elétricas
são perigosas nas mãos de utilizadores inexperientes.
e) Faça a manutenção de ferramentas
elétricas e acessórios. Verifique quaisquer
desalinhamentos, encaixes de peças
móveis, quebras e outras condições que
possam afetar o funcionamento. Se esta
ferramenta estiver avariada, mande-a
reparar antes a utilizar.
Muitos acidentes são
causados pela manutenção deficiente de ferramentas

f) Mantenha as ferramentas de corte limpas e

As ferramentas de corte ou discos de serra
com manutenção adequada e arestas de corte (ou
destes) afiadas têm menos probabilidades bloquear e

instruções e da forma prevista para este
tipo específico de ferramenta, tendo em
conta as condições presentes e o trabalho
a executar.
A utilização de ferramentas elétricas
para aplicações diferentes daquelas a que se
destinam pode levar a situações de perigo.
h) Mantenha o punho e superfícies de contato,
secos e limpos de óleo ou graxa
. A falta dos
mesmos não permite o manuseio e controle da
ferramenta em situações inesperadas.
5) UTILIZAÇÃO E MANUTENÇÃO DE
FERRAMENTA ALIMENTADA POR
CONJUNTO DE BATERIAS
a) Recarregue o conjunto de baterias apenas
com o carregador especificado pelo
fabricante.
Um carregador para determinado
tipo de conjunto de bateria pode levar ao risco de
incêndio se utilizado com outro tipo de baterias.
b) Utilize ferramentas elétricas apenas
com os tipos de conjuntos de baterias
especificamente designados.
A utilização de
quaisquer outros tipos de conjuntos de baterias pode
levar a riscos de lesão ou incêndio.
c) Quando não estiver utilizando o conjunto
de baterias, mantenha-o afastado de
objetos metálicos como clipes, moedas,
chaves, pregos, parafusos ou outros
objetos metálicos de pequena dimensão,
que possam fechar o contato entre os
terminais.
O curto-circuito de terminais de bateria
pode provocar incêndios ou queimaduras.
d) Em condições inadequadas, o eletrólito
das baterias pode vazar. Evite o contato.
Se ocorrer algum contato acidental, lave
com água. Se o líquido entrar em contato
com os olhos, procure imediatamente
aconselhamento médico.

pode provocar irritações na pele ou queimaduras.
e) Não use a bateria removível e ou
ferramenta danificadas ou modificadas.
Baterias danificadas e/ou estragadas podem
apresentar comportamentos inesperados resultando
em incêndio, explosão ou ferimento.

f) Não deixe a bateria removível ou ferramenta
expostas a fogo ou temperaturas elevadas.
A exposição a temperaturas elevadas acima de 130
graus podem provocar explosão.
g) Siga as instruções de carregamento e não
carregue a bateria ou ferramenta em uma
temperatura fora da especificada no manual
de instruções
. Carregar inadequadamente pode
provocar incêndios.
6) ASSISTÊNCIA TÉCNICA
a) A sua ferramenta elétrica só deve ser
reparada por um técnico de assistência
qualificado e devem ser apenas utilizadas
peças de substituição genuínas, mantendo
assim a segurança da ferramenta.
Procure
um centro de serviço autorizado.
b) Nunca faça reparos de baterias danificadas.
Manutenção de baterias deve ser feita somente pela
fabricante ou centro de serviço autorizado.

a) Não desmonte nem abra as pilhas ou a
bateria.
b) Não provoque curto-circuito na bateria.
Não guarde indiscriminadamente as
baterias numa caixa ou numa gaveta onde
possam entrar em contato entre si ou com
objetos metálicos, provocando curto-
circuito. Quando a bateria não estiver sendo utilizada,
mantenha-a afastada de outros objetos de metal, como
os clips, moedas, chaves, pregos, parafusos ou outros
pequenos objetos que podem promover uma ligação
de um terminal ao outro. Se ocorrer a ligação dos dois
terminais, pode provocar queimaduras ou incêndio.
c) Não exponha a bateria ao calor ou ao fogo.
Evite o seu armazenamento em locais
expostos à luz solar direta.
d) Não submeta a bateria a choques ou
pancadas.
e) No caso de fuga de líquidos, não permita
que os líquidos entrem em contato com a
pele ou com os olhos. Em caso de contato,
lave a área afetada com bastante água e
procure aconselhamento médico.
f) Mantenha a bateria limpa e seca.
g) Se os terminais da bateria estiverem sujos,
limpe-os com um pano limpo e seco.
h) A bateria precisa de ser carregada antes
de ser utilizada. Consulte sempre as
instruções e utilize a forma correta de
carregamento.
i) Não deixe a bateria carregando quando não
precisar de utilizar.
j) Após períodos prolongados de
armazenamento, poderá ser necessário
carregar e descarregar a bateria várias
vezes para obter o desempenho máximo.
k) A recarga da bateria apenas deve ser efetuada
com o carregador especificado pela WESCO.
Não utilize qualquer outro carregador além
do especificamente fornecido para utilização
com o equipamento.
l) Não utilize qualquer bateria não concebida
para ser utilizada com o equipamento.
m) Mantenha a bateria fora do alcance de
crianças.
n) Guarde a documentação original do
produto para referência futura.
o) Retire a bateria do equipamento quando o
mesmo não estiver a ser utilizado.
p) Elimine o equipamento de forma correta.
q) Não misture células de fabricante,
capacidade, tamanho ou tipo diferentes em
um dispositivo.
r) Mantenha a bateria longe de micro-ondas e
alta pressão.

baterias à chuva ou água.
6. O carregador deve ser protegido contra qualquer
contato com a humidade.
7. Não use o carregador em ambiente externo.
8. Não provoque curto-circuito os contatos da bateria ou
do carregador.
9. Ao carregar a bateria tenha atenção aos símbolos de
polaridade “+/-“.
10. Não abra a unidade de bateria e mantenha-a fora do
alcance das crianças.
11. Não utilize este carregador para carregar baterias de
outros fabricantes.
12. Certifique-se de que a ligação entre o carregador
e a bateria foi feita de forma correta não existindo
qualquer obstrução por parte de objetos estranhos.
13. Certifique-se de que as ranhuras do carregador
estão livres de objetos estranhos e proteja-as contra
qualquer contato com sujeira ou humidade. Guarde
num local seco e sem gelo.
14. Ao carregar a bateria certifique-se de que o
carregador está num local bem ventilado e longe
de materiais inflamáveis. A bateria pode aquecer
durante o carregamento. Não sobrecarregue a bateria.
Certifique-se de que durante o carregamento a bateria
e o carregador são devidamente supervisionados.
15. Não tente carregar baterias que não são recarregáveis
uma vez que estas podem sobreaquecer e avariar.
16. A vida útil da bateria e o desempenho desta podem
ser optimizados se a bateria for carregada em
temperaturas entre os 18OC e os 24OC. Não carregue
a bateria em temperaturas abaixo dos 0OC, ou acima
dos 40OC. Isto é importante pois evita danos graves a
bateria.

INSTRUÇÕES DE
FUNCIONAMIENTO
NOTA: Antes de utilizar a ferramenta, leia
atentamente o livro de instruções.
Utilização de acordo com as disposições
O soprador foi concebido para soprar detritos. Não deve ser
utilizado para limpar detritos em locais fechados nem para
limpeza de animais.
ANTES DE UTILIZAR A
FERRAMENTA
1. CARREGAMENTO DE BATERIAS
a) Não utilize nenhum carregador de bateria que não seja
o carregador fornecido com essa ferramenta ou outro
original com o mesmo código.
b) Se a bateria estiver muito quente, é preciso retirar a
bateria do carregador e esperar que a mesma esfrie
antes de carregar novamente.
c) A bateria da sua nova ferramenta não está carregada,
portanto é preciso carregar a bateria totalmente
quando for utilizar pela primeira vez.
d) Carregue a bateria totalmente ou pelo menos mais de
50% da carga antes de guardá-la. Caso a ferramenta
não for utilizada por um longo período de tempo,
carregue a bateria a cada período de 3-6 meses.
PROCEDIMENTO DE CARGA(VER FIG. A)
1) Ligue o carregador numa tomada apropriada. O luz fica
verde.
2) Insira a bateria no carregador, O luz fica vermelho como
sinal de que o processo de carregamento foi iniciado.
3) Quando a bateria fica completamente carregada, O
logótipo fica verde. A bateria está agora com a carga
máxima, desligue o carregador e retire a bateria.
INDICADOR DE CARREGAMENTO
Este carregador foi desenhado para detectar alguns
problemas que possam acontecer com baterias.
As luzes indicadoras indicam problemas (consulte
a tabela abaixo). Se isto ocorrer, insira uma bateria
nova para determinar se o carregador está OK. Se
a bateria carregar corretamente, então a bateria
original está com defeito e deve ser devolvida a um
centro de assistência ou centro de reciclagem. Se a
bateria nova exibir o mesmo problema que a bateria
original, peça a um centro de assistência autorizado
que teste o carregador.

AVISO: Quando a bateria ficar sem
carga após uma utilização contínua
ou devido à exposição à luz solar direta ou
a uma qualquer fonte de calor, deixe a
ferramenta esfriar antes de proceder ao
carregamento da bateria.
2. COMO RETIRAR OU INSTALAR O
CONJUNTO DE BATERIAS(VER FIG. B)
Pressione o botão de liberação da bateria com firmeza
primeiro e deslize a bateria para fora da sua ferramenta.
Após o carregamento, faça deslizar a bateria para o interior
do compartimento da mesma existente na ferramenta. Uma
pequena pressão é suficiente para instalar a bateria.
MONTAJE
1.MONTE A LIXA (VER FIG. C)
1) Remova todo pó e outros objetos do disco de lixamento
e da lixa.
2) A lixa tem furos de extração de pó, é necessário alinhar
esses furos com os furos no disco de lixamento, caso
contrário a extração de pó não irá funcionar.
2. ENCAIXE E REMOÇÃO DO SACO
COLETOR DE PÓ (VER FIG. D)
Instalação da sacola de pó
Sua lixadeira é equipada com um saco coletor de pó. Para
acoplá-lo, deslize o saco coletor de pó na saída de pó na
parte traseira da lixadeira.
CUIDADO!Para evitar a possibilidade de o pó do
lixamento e objetos estranhos serem lançados em
seu rosto ou olhos, nunca tente usar sua lixadeira sem a
sacola de pó devidamente instalada.
ESVAZIAMENTO DO SACO COLETOR DE
PÓ (VER FIG. E1,E2)
Para um funcionamento mais eficiente, esvazie o saco
coletor de pós a cada 5 a 10 minutos de uso. Para esvaziar
o saco coletor de pó, primeiramente, remova-o da saída de
extração de pó e, em seguida, remova o pó.
3. CONECTANDO A LIXADEIRA AO
ADAPTADOR DE ASPIRADO (VER FIG. F)
Sua lixadeira está equipada com um adaptador de

aspirador, que é projetado para coletar pó na área de
trabalho. Insira o adaptador na parte posterior da saída
de extração de pó. Empurre o adaptador de pó para que
esse fique bem firme na lixadeira. Em seguida, conecte a
mangueira de um aspirador de pó ao adaptador.
Ligue o aspirador de pó e, em seguida, ligue a lixadeira.
Se você parar de lixar, primeiro, desligue a lixadeira, em
seguida, desligue seu aspirador de pó.
NOTA: Sempre conecte o adaptador com uma mangueira
aspiradora de 35mm.
4. INSTALAÇÃO DA ESPUMA/ALMOFADA
DE POLIMENTO(VER FIG. G1,G2)
A ferramenta é equipada com uma almofada de polimento.
Instale a almofada de polimento de forma segura na placa
giratória e assegure que esteja centrossimétrica, pois, caso
contrário, a polidora vibrará muito.
FUNCIONAMENTO
1. OPERAÇÃO DO INTERRUPTOR LIGA/
DESLIGA (VER FIG. H)
Para ligar a lixadeira, pressione o interruptor na posição “I”.
Para parar a lixadeira, pressione o interruptor na posição
“0”.
2. CONTROLE DE VELOCIDADE VARIÁVEL
(AJUSTE DA VELOCIDADE:1-5-MAX) (VER
FIG. I)
Com controle de velocidade variável, a velocidade
necessária pode ser selecionada (também durante a
operação).
A velocidade necessária depende do material e deve ser
determinada por meio de um teste prático.
3. EMPUNHADURA COM PUNHO MACIO
(VER FIG. J)
A sua lixadeira foi concebida para ser segurada pela parte
superior da caixa principal.
4. UTILIZANDO A LIXADEIRA
A peça a ser lixada precisa estar bem presa. Caso a peça
seja pequena ou possa se mover durante o lixamento, essa
deve ser fixada ou presa com um grampo, sargento ou
outra ferramenta apropriada para tal.
Segure firmemente a lixadeira e utilize pouca pressão ao
lixar. E’ possível que a lixadeira de um pequeno tranco
quando for ligada. Segure a lixadeira em uma superfície
plana e deslize a suavemente sobre a peça a ser lixada.
Recomenda se movimentos circulares suaves para um
melhor resultado, circular. Verifique constantemente o
estado da folha de lixa. Troque por uma nova quando a lixa
não estiver mais em bom estado.
Lixamento grosseiro
Coloque uma lixa com grão grosso. Aplique apenas uma
leve pressão de lixamento para obter um aumento na
redução de material.
Lixamento fino
Coloque uma lixa com grão fino. Com pressão moderada,
mova a máquina em um padrão circular ou alternativamente
nas direções longitudinais e transversais na peça. Não
incline a máquina para evitar lixar a peça excessivamente
(por exemplo, quando estiver lixando compensados). Após
terminar o trabalho, desligue a máquina e a retire da peça.
5. LIXADEIRA ORBITAL
Guie sua lixadeira paralela à superfície de trabalho e faça
movimentos circulares ou em um padrão cruzado. Não
incline a ferramenta para evitar marcas de lixamento
profundas indesejadas. A quantidade de material removido
é determinada pela velocidade do disco de lixamento e do
tamanho de grão usado. A velocidade do disco de lixamento
diminui relativamente a pressão aplicada na ferramenta.
Para uma remoção mais rápida, não aumente a pressão na

6. SELEÇÃO DA GRADE DE LIXA CORRETA
— Diferentes grades de lixa podem ser adquiridas
em lojas de materiais para construção. As grades
disponíveis são Grossa, Média e Fina.
— Use grãos grossos para lixar acabamentos grosseiros,
grãos médios para suavizar o trabalho e grãos finos
para acabamento.
— Quanto maior o número da grade, mais fino é o grão.
Para trabalho grosseiro, comece com uma grade de
grãos menor. (por exemplo, grão 60) e mude para uma
grade maior, mais fina (por exemplo, grão 120) para
acabamento. Se usar uma grade fina para superfícies
grosseiras ela irá entupir rápido e precisará de troca.
— É melhor fazer um teste em um pedaço do material
para determinar as melhores grades de lixa para uma
tarefa em particular.
7. ESPUMA PARA POLIMENTO
A almofada de polimento pode ser usada para polir
uma superfície com tinta desgastada ou para remover
arranhões. Para polimentos, selecione a velocidade mínima
para evitar vibrações excessivas.
1) Utilize a quantidade aproximada de uma colher
de sopa de pasta especifica para polimento sobre
toda a superfície da boina. Não aplique o lustrador

diretamente em uma superfície relativamente menor
do que aquela que deseja polir.
2) Essa primeira aplicação deve cobrir cerca de 1/3 de
uma superfície de tamanho médio, fazendo a aplicação
de forma transversal ou com movimentos circulares e
pressão moderada.
3) A quantidade, forma de aplicar, tipo de material
para polir deve ser de acordo com as instruções do
fabricante de material para polir. A boina de polimento
não deverá absorver a pasta de polimento após as
primeiras vezes que colocar a pasta.
NOTA:
• Não superaqueça a superfície.
• Não permita que a almofada de polimento seque na
superfície, pois isso poderá danificar a superfície.
• Não exponha a superfície à luz solar direta.
• Limpe a almofada de polimento regularmente para
manter bons resultados de polimento. Lave a boina de
polimento com detergente neutro e água morna.
ICAS DE TRABALHO
PARA SUA LIXADEIRA
Se sua ferramenta elétrica ficar muito quente,
principalmente quando usada a uma velocidade lenta,
coloque em velocidade máxima e opere-a sem carga por
2 a 3 minutos para resfriar o motor. Evite uso prolongado a
velocidades muito lentas. Sempre use lixa adequada para
o material que deseja lixar. Sempre assegure que a peça a
ser de trabalhada esteja segura ou fixada firmemente para
evitar movimentação. Apoie painéis grandes perto da área
de lixamento. Qualquer movimentação do material pode
afetar a qualidade do acabamento da lixamento. Inicie sua
lixadeira antes de lixar e desligue-a somente após parar
o lixamento. Para obter melhores resultados, lixe madeira
na direção do veio. Não inicie o lixamento sem ter a lixa
ajustada. Esvazie o saco de poeria a cada 5 minutos

MANUTENÇÃO

INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the
instruction book carefully.
Intended use:
The machine is intended for dry sanding of wood, plastic,
filler and coated surfaces.
BEFORE OPERATION
1. CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK
a) Do not use any charger other than that specifically
provided for use with the equipment.
b) If the battery pack is very hot you must remove your
battery pack from the charger and allow time for the
battery to cool down before recharging.
c) The battery in your new tool is not charged when it
leaves the plant. Therefore it must be full charged
before using the first time.
d) Please charge the battery to reach full or no less than
half charge before storage. If the tool will not be used
for long periods of time, charge the battery every 3-6
months.
CHARGING PROCEDURE (SEE FIG. A)
1) Plug the charger into an appropriate outlet. The light
will be green.
2) Slide the battery pack into the charger, the light
will turn to red to indicate the charging process has
started.
3) When charging is completed, the light will turn to
green. The pack is now fully charged, unplug the
charger and remove the battery pack.
CHARGING INDICATOR
This charger is designed to detect some problems that
can arise with battery packs. Indicator lights indicate
problems (see table below). If this occurs, insert a new
battery pack to determine if the charger is OK. If the
new battery charges correctly, then the original pack is
defective and should be returned to a service center or
recycling service center. If the new battery pack displays
the same problem as the original Battery Pack, have the
charger tested at an authorized service center.

WARNING: When battery charge runs
out after continuously use or
exposure to direct sunlight or heat, allow
time for the tool to cool down before re-
charging to achieve the full charge.
2. TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE BATTERY
PACK (SEE FIG. B)
Depress the battery pack release button to release and
slide the battery pack out from your tool. After recharge,
slide it back into your tool. A simple push and slight
pressure will be sufficient.
ASSEMBLY
1. ASSEMBLE THE SANDING PAPER (SEE
FIG. C)
1) Remove any dust or other objects from the sanding
plate and sandpaper.
2) The sandpaper has dust extraction holes you must
align these with the holes in the sanding plate,
otherwise the dust extraction will not function.
2. FITTING AND REMOVING THE DUST BAG
(SEE FIG. D)
Attaching the dust bag
Your sander is equipped with a dust bag. To attach, slide
the dust bag onto the dust outlet at the rear of the sander.
CAUTION! To prevent the possibility of sanding
dust or foreign body being thrown in to your face or
eyes, never attempt to use your sander without the dust bag
properly installed.
EMPTY THE DUST BAG (SEE FIG. E1, E2)
For more efficient operation, empty the dust bag every
5-10mins.To empty the dust bag, first remove it from the
dust extraction outlet, and then you can shake the dust
out.
3. ATTACHING SANDER TO VACUUM (SEE
FIG. F)
Your sander is equipped with a vacuum adapter, which
is designed for collecting dust task. Insert the vacuum
adapter into the rear dust extraction outlet and ensure
it is tightened securely. Then connect the adapter to the
hose of a vacuum cleaner.
While using, first turn on the vacuum cleaner, and then
turn on the sander. If you stop sanding, first turn off the
sander, then turn off your vacuum cleaner.
NOTE: Please always connect the adaptor with 35mm
vacuum hose.
4. PLACE THE POLISHING PAD (SEE FIG.
G1, G2)
The machine is equipped with a polishing pad. Place the
polishing pad securely on the rotary plate and make sure
it’s centrosymmetric. Otherwise the polisher vibrates badly.
OPERATION
1. Operating the ON / OFF SWITCH (SEE
FIG. H)
To start your sander, depress the protective cover over
the switch at the position marked “I”.
To stop your sander, depress the protective cover at the
position marked “0”.
2. VARIABLE SPEED CONTROL (SETTING
SPEED:1-5-MAX) (SEE FIG. I)
With the variable speed control, the required speed can
be selected (also while running).
The required speed is dependent on the material and is to
be determined by a practical trial.
3. HAND GRIP AREA (SEE FIG. J)
Your sander is designed to be held by the top of the main
housing.
4. USING THE SANDER
The workpiece to be sanded must be secured. If it is
small or it may move during sanding, it must be held in a
vice or suitably clamped.
Be sure to hold the sander firmly whilst it is turned on
and apply it gently to the work, it may "kick" on first
contact. Hold the sander so that it is flat on the work and
move slowly, preferably with a smooth, circular motion.
Regularly check the condition of the sanding paper and
replace when worn for best results.
Rough sanding
Attach a Sand paper with coarse grain. Apply only light
sanding pressure to achieve increased material removal.
Fine sanding
Attach a Sand paper with fine grain. With moderate
pressure, move the machine in a circular pattern or
alternately in lengthwise and crosswise directions over
the workpiece. Do not tilt the machine to avoid sanding
through the work piece (e.g. when sanding veneer). After
finishing the work, switch off the machine and lift it from
the workpiece.

5. ORBITAL SANDING
Guide your sander parallel to the working surface and
move it in circles or in a cross pattern. Do not tilt the tool
in order to avoid deep unwanted sanding marks. The
amount of material removed is determined by the speed
of the sanding disc and the grit size used. The speed
of the sanding disc diminishes relative to the pressure
applied to the tool. For faster removal, do not increase
pressure on the tool, but use a coarser grit size.
6. SELECTING THE RIGHT GRADE OF
SANDPAPER
— Different grades of sanding paper can be purchased
from good DIY shops. Available grades are Coarse,
Medium and Fine.
— Use coarse grits to sand down rough finishes, medium
grit to smooth the work and fine grit to finish off.
— The higher the grade number, the finer the grit. For
rough work start with a low grade of grit. (e.g. 60 grit)
and change to a higher, finer grade (e.g. 120 grit) for
finishing. If you use a fine grade for rough surfaces it
will soon clog and need changing.
— It is best to make a trial run on a scrap piece of
material to determine the optimum grades of
sandpaper for a particular job.
7. POLISHING PAD
The polishing pad can be used for polishing the surface
with weathered paint or buffing out scratches. When
polishing, select the min level, otherwise the polisher
vibrates badly.
1) Spread about a tablespoonful of polish evenly over the
entire surface of the polishing pad. Do not apply polish
directly onto a somewhat smaller surface than you
intend to polish.
2) This first application should do about 1/3 of an average
size surface applying it crosswise or with circular
motion and moderate pressure.
3) For the second and third applications of polish, repeat
as above. The pad cover will not adsorb as much when
reloading.
NOTE:
• Do not overheat the surface.
• Do not allow the polishing pad to dry out on the
surface, otherwise the surface can become damaged.
• Do not subject the surface to direct sunlight.
• Clean the polishing pad regularly to keep good
polishing results. Wash out polishing bonnet with a
mild detergent and warm water.
WORKING HINTS FOR
YOUR SANDER
If your power tool becomes too hot, especially when
used at low speed, set the speed to maximum and run
it with no load for 2-3 minutes to cool the motor. Avoid
prolonged usage at very low speeds. Always use sand
paper that is suitable for the material you want to sand.
Always ensure the work-piece is firmly held or clamped
to prevent movement. Support large panels close to the
sanding area. Any movement of the material may affect
the quality of the sanding finish. Start your sander before
sanding and turn it off only after you stop sanding. For
the best results, sand wood in the direction of the grain.
Do not start sanding without having the sandpaper fitted.
Empty the dust bag every 5 minutes or sooner to ensure
efficient dust collection.
MAINTENANCE
Your power tool requires no additional lubrication or
maintenance. There are no user serviceable parts in your
power tool. Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean
your power tool. Wipe clean with a dry cloth. Always store
your power tool in a dry place. Keep the motor ventilation
slots clean. Keep all working controls free of dust.
Occasionally you may see sparks through the ventilation
slots. This is normal and will not damage your power tool.
FOR BATTERY TOOLS
The ambient temperature range for the use and
storage of tool and battery is 0°C-45°C.
The recommended ambient temperature range for
the charging system during charging is 0°C-40°C.
TROUBLESHOOTING
1. If your sander does not operate, check to see if the
battery pack needs to be charged.
2. If the sander does not abrade surface, checking the
sanding paper. If the sanding paper has been worn,
replace the new paper and try again. The paper must
be kept in a dry place, if it is allowed to become damp,
the abrasive particles will lose their adhesion to the
backing paper and will not abrade.
3. If the sander dose not move smoothly, The sanding
paper may be loose, damaged or wrinkled. Replace
and try again.
4. If a fault cannot be rectified return the sander to an
authorized dealer for repair.
