Istruzioni generali
•L’installazione del sistema deve essere eseguita in conformità al manuale di installazione fornito da
Westport Fuel Systems Italia.
•Questo manuale si basa sulle normative italiane; installare sempre il sistema in conformità alle normative locali.
•Scaricare sempre il manuale generale dal nostro sito web per le istruzioni di base e gli schemi generali.
•Scollegare sempre la batteria durante l’installazione del sistema GPL.
Assicurarsi che la chiave di accensione sia fuori dall’auto.
Prestare attenzione alla chiusura centralizzata delle porte, al codice memoria radio/telefono e al sistema di
allarme.
•Non posizionare il fusibile principale prima di aver completato l’installazione del sistema a Gas.
•Nell’improbabile caso in cui la ECU Gas si guasti, l’auto commuterà automaticamente a benzina. Non
scollegare mai il connettore della ECU Gas, a meno che non sia stato rimosso il fusibile principale.
•Quando si installa il cablaggio del sistema Gas, assicurarsi che non passi vicino a nessuno dei componenti
di accensione.
•Saldare e isolare tutti i collegamenti elettrici.
I fili del cablaggio sono forniti di numeri e testo.
Il testo sul filo spiega la funzione del filo.
Il cablaggio non è dedicato, pertanto potrebbe essere necessario regolare la lunghezza dei fili.
Prestare la massima attenzione durante il collegamento del cablaggio.
Praticare giunzioni professionali usando saldature e guaine termoretraibili. Non tirare/allungare il cablaggio.
•Nessun componente del sistema GPL deve essere posizionato entro 100 mm dallo scarico o da una fonte
di calore, a meno che tali componenti non siano adeguatamente schermati.
•Rimuovere eventuali sbavature interne dopo aver accorciato il tubo GPL.
(Questo garantisce il corretto flusso di GPL attraverso il tubo senza inquinamento)
•Se è necessario praticare dei fori (indossare occhiali protettivi) per l’installazione di staffe, ecc., i fori praticati
devono essere sempre trattati con un agente anticorrosivo dopo che i trucioli sono stai rimossi (specialmente
quando si utilizza uno stucco esterno nella carrozzeria).
•Dopo aver completato l’installazione, controllare l’intero sistema per rilevare eventuali perdite di gas;
utilizzare un dispositivo di rilevamento fughe di gas. Verificare anche la presenza di eventuali perdite di
liquido di raffreddamento motore, benzina e aria.
•Il montaggio e la manutenzione sono consentiti solo da tecnici selezionati che possono operare sull’impianto
a Gas.
•La mancata osservanza delle istruzioni in questo manuale può causare un’installazione non corretta e non
funzionante dei vari componenti.
•Per le istruzioni di manutenzione dei vari componenti verificare le istruzioni dedicate.
•Wesport fuel systems non è responsabile per eventuali danni a persone o cose derivanti da modifiche ai
prodotti Wesport fuel systems.
•Controllare regolarmente il nostro sito web in apposita area riservata per istruzioni, omologazioni, comunicati
tecnici e informazioni sui podotti.
Si prega di registrare il sistema nel portale garanzia e ricambi come da normale procedura.

General instruction
•The installation of the system shall be done in accordance with the installation manual provided by Westport
Fuel Systems Italia.
•This manual is based on Italian regulations; always install the system in accordance to the local regulations.
•Always download the “general manual“ from our website for basic instructions and general diagrams.
•Always disconnect the battery when installing the LPG system.
Make sure the ignition key is outside the car.
Be aware of central door locking, radio / telephone memory code and alarm system.
•Do not place the main fuse into the fuse holder before having completed the installation LPG system.
•In the unlikely event the ECU Gas fails, it will automatically switch over to petrol. Never disconnect the ECU
Gas connector, unless you have removed the main fuse.
•When installing the wiring harness, ensure that it does not run near any of the ignition components.
•Solder and insulate all electrical connections.
The wires in the loom are provided with numbers and text.
The text on the wire explains the function of the wire.
The wire harness is not model specific, therefore it may be necessary to adjust the length of the wires.
Ensure maximum care is taken when connecting the wiring.
Make professional joints using solder and shrink sleeve. Do not stretch the wiring harness.
•No component of the LPG-system shall be located within 100 mm of the exhaust or similar heat source
unless such components are adequately shielded against heat.
•Remove any internal burrs after having shortened the LPG pipe.
(This guarantees the correct lpg flow through the pipe without pollution.)
•If holes have to be drilled (wear safety glasses) for installing brackets, etc., the drilled holes must always be i
treated with an anti-corrosion agent after the chips have been removed (especially when mounting an
exterior filler into body work).
•After having completed the installation, check the whole system for gas leakage; use a gas leak detection
device. Also check for any leak of engine coolant, petrol and air.
•Fitting and maintenance is only allowed only by selected technicians who can work on the gas system.
•Failure to observe the instructions in this manual can cause incorrect and non-functional of the various
components.
•For maintenance instructions of the various components, check the dedicated instructions.
•Wesport fuel systems is not responsible for any damages to people or objects resulting from modifications to
Wesport fuel systems products.
•Regularly check our website in a special reserved area for instructions, approvals, technical announcements
and information on the products.
Please register your system in the warranty and parts portal as the normal procedure.

Rimuovere collettore d’aspirazione / Remove the inlet manifold

Montaggio ugelli collettore di aspirazione / Couplings inlet manifold
Rimuovere il collettore/Remove the inlet manifold.
Praticare 4 fori da Ø 5mm sul collettore. Filettare M6x1.
Drill 4holes of 5mm in the inlet manifold. Cut M6x1 thread in these holes.
Montare gli ugelli utilizzando un composto di bloccaggio
Place the couplings with a locking compound in the inlet manifold
Fare attenzione che il composto non entri negli ugelli
Watch out that the lock compound doesn’t come inside the couplings.
Rimontare il collettore sul motore quando pronto/Place the inlet manifold back on the engine when ready
Rimuovere costolle / Remove ribs
Ricavare scasso sulla paletta del collettore come si vede in figura.
Grind away a piece of the flap under the coupling (see picture)
