Add the detergent as described in the programme table or in the
chapter “Detergent and Additives” in your Instructions for Use.
1. Press “On/Off” to switch on the washer. The light of the
selected programme is on, and the “Start (Pause)” button
blinks.
2. Turn the programme selector to the desired programme -
it is marked by a light.
3. The predefined temperature and spin speed can be altered
by pressing the “Temperature” and the “Spin speed”
modifier.
Selecting any option or modifier, the indication lights up. If
the combination of programme, options or modifiers is not
possible, the indication lights switch off automatically and a
signal sounds.
“Rapid” button
• Enables quicker washing by shortening the programme
duration.
• Recommendable for lightly soiled laundry.
“Easy ironing” button
• Reduces creasing by increased water quantity and a very gentle
spin.
“Rinse hold” button
• The laundry remains in the last rinse water without being spun:
this prevents creasing and colours from changing.
• Particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later
time, or if you want to drain only.
• Do not leave the laundry to soak in the rinse hold for too long.
Note: The programme starts to “Rinse hold” when the “Rinse
hold” button light blinks; the “Start (Pause)” button light also
blinks.
Terminate the “Rinse hold” option :
• Press the “Rinse hold” or the “Start (Pause)” button ; the
programme will terminate automatically with the final spin
cycle for the present wash programme.
• If you do not wish to spin the clothes, press and hold the
“Reset (Drain)” button for a few seconds. The water
is drained out then, before the door can be opened.
“Spin speed” modifier
• Every programme has an automatic predefined spin speed.
• Press the button to set another spin speed.
• Spin speed “0” is only selectable for programme “Drain &
Spin”; the final spinning is cancelled in this case - the water is
drained out only at the end of the programme.
“Rinse” modifier
• “Sensitive skin”: maximum amount of rinse water is
added, and rinse cycle is prolonged.
• “Intensive rinse”: more rinse water is added, and rinse
cycle is prolonged.
• Particularly suitable for areas with very soft water, for baby
clothes or to help people with skin allergies.
“Options” modifier
Prewash :
• Adds a prewash cycle to the programme selected.
• Use only for heavily soiled loads (e.g. sand, granular dirt).
• Increases the cycle time by approx. 15 minutes.
• Do not use liquid detergent for the main wash when activating
“Prewash”.

Prewash cycle increases programme duration by approximately 15 min. Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions in compliance with
Standard IEC/EN 60 456. Consumption data in the home may vary with respect to the values in the table in relation to the water supply pressure and
temperature, the load and the type of wash. Water and energy consumption refer to the default setting of the programmes, with the temperatures indicated in
the table; changing the options or modifiers setting will also change the consumption data.
The remaining time indicator can deviate from the values in the table, because it takes into account the operating conditions at that time (see also
“Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).

• Choose this option if you use an in-wash additive for stain
removal (powder, for example “Vanish”) - it will optimize the
additive’s efficiency to get better wash performance and stain
removal.
• Use with maximum load.
• Add an appropriate amount of in-wash additive for stain
removal (powder) to the main wash chamber, together with
your detergent (only use powder detergent with this option).
Respect the manufacturer’s dosing instructions.
• May prolong the programme by up to 15 minutes.
• Appropriate for use of stain removers and bleaches on oxygen
basis. Chlorine or perborate bleaches must not be used!
Normal
“Soil level” modifier
• Adapts the programme duration to the soil level of your
laundry.
= Normal / = Soiled / = Heavy soil
If there is a programme setting which you use frequently, the
washing machine offers the possibility to save one setting for each
programme so that it can be used again by just pushing one button.
• Select the desired programme, temperature, spin speed and
options/modifiers.
Press and hold the “Favourites” button for some seconds; the
light goes on and a signal sounds when the programme setting is
saved.
Next time you want to use your individual programme setting, turn
the programme selector to the desired programme, shortly push
the “Favourites” button and start by pressing “Start
(Pause)” .
If you want to replace the saved setting by another one:
• Select the programme desired and the new temperature, spin,
options/modifer setting.
• Press and hold the “Favourites” button some seconds;
the previously saved setting is replaced by the new one.
The “Start delay” allows to run the machine at the consumer’s
convenience, for example at night when electricity is cheaper.
• Select programme, temperature and options/modifiers as
desired.
• Press the “Start delay” button to select the delay time by 1 to
24 hours.
• Press and hold the “Start (Pause)” button ; the
countdown of the delay time begins. The light of the “Start
delay” button will keep blinking until the programme starts.
• The time delay indication disappears when the programme
starts and it is replaced by the remaining time.
To cancel the “Start delay”:
•Press“Start (Pause)” , or press and hold “Reset (Drain)”
- the delay time will disappear from the display.
Turn on the tap and press and hold the “Start (Pause)” button
- the blinking “Start (Pause)” button light becomes
constant; it will take some time until water enters into the washing
machine.
The programme sequence indicator on the display shows the
sequence reached in the programme. After starting the
programme, the indication runs from left to right through prewash,
wash, rinse, spin. When a programme sequence is finished, the
corresponding symbol goes off.
The display shows the remaining programme time. Due to
variations in load and temperature of inlet water, the remaining
time is newly calculated in certain programme phases. If this is the
case, an animation appears on the display and the “6th Sense”
symbol lights up.
As soon as a programme starts, the “Door locked” symbol lights
up on the display.
You can interrupt the programme by pressing “Start (Pause)”
- the light blinks. The “Door locked” symbol on the display
goes off and you can open the door. In certain programme phases,
the “Door locked” symbol remains lit to show that the door
cannot be opened in the present programme phase, e.g. when the
water level is too high.
To continue the programme, just close the door and press “Start
(Pause)” again.
“End” appears on the display, and a signal sounds.
1. Switch the machine off by pressing “On/Off” (if you do
not, the machine will switch off automatically about 5 minutes
after programme end).
2. Turn off the tap and open the door to unload your washing.
Leave the door open for some time so that the washer’s inside
can dry.
The symbol will light up if you used too much detergent. Use less
detergent next time. If the symbol lights up and the display shows
“Fod”, too much foam interrupted the wash process; refer to the
“Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use.
1. Press the “Start (Pause)” button to interrupt the
programme. The light blinks.
2. Select the new programme, temperature and options/
modifiers as desired.
3. Press and hold the “Start (Pause)” button again. The
new programme continues at the same position where the
previous programme was interrupted. Do not add detergent
for this programme.
Press and hold the “Reset (Drain)” button for a few
seconds; the light blinks. It will take some time until the water is
drained out and the door can be opened (up to 10 minutes).
Caution, the washing might still be hot!
