Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. o minimize the risk of injury we urge that our cli-
ents take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation in-
structions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
Safety instructions
Attention!
t bodies of standing water, garden and swimming ponds as well as in their vicinity, the use of the
device is only permitted with a residual current circuit breaker with a rated current of up to 30 m (ac-
cording to VDE 0100 parts 702 and 738).
The device is not suited for use in swimming pools, paddling pools of any kind or waters in which
people or animals may stay during operation. Operation of the device while people are in the danger
area is not permitted. sk a qualified electrician!
This device is not intended to be used by individuals with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilit-
ies or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person familiar with the
device and responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised at all times in order to ensure
that they do not play with the device.
Danger!
Perform a visual inspection of the device before every use. Do not use it, if safety components
are damaged or worn. Never override safety devices.
Only use the device in accordance with the intended use specified in these operating instruc-
tions.
You are responsible for the safety in the work area.
1. If the cable or the plug should be damaged by external factors, do under no circumstances at-
tempt to perform any kind of repairs! Instead, have the cable be replaced with a new one. The
exchange should thereby only be performed by a qualified electrician.
The alternating voltage of 230V indicated on the nameplate of the device must correspond to
the existing mains voltage.
Never use the power chord to hold, lift, transport or fasten the device.
Make sure that the electrical plug connections are place within a flood-proof area and are pro -
tected from moisture.
Remove the power plug from the power source before performing any kind of work on the
device.

The user must take appropriate measures (e.g. installation of an alarm system, a reserve
pump, etc.) to prevent consequential damage caused by the flooding in case of device

In case of failure of the device, repairs may only be performed by a qualified electrician.
The device must never run dry or be operated with its suction line fully closed.
Do not use this device to operate swimming pools .
This device must not be added to any kind of domestic water circuit meant for potable water.

Field of Application
This submersible pump is usually installed in basements in order to grant protection from the flooding.
It is further used in instances where larger bodies of water have to be moved from one place to an -
other and therefore fiends application in areas such as agriculture, horticulture or the installation and
maintenance of sanitary facilities.
Prolonging the Service Life
The maximum temperature of the pumped liquid should not exceed + 35 °C in continuous op-
eration.
This device must not be used for pumping flammable, gassing or explosive liquids.
This device must not be used for pumping other liquids, such as engine fuels, cleaning agents
or other chemical products!
Installation
Please note the following information concerning the installation of the pump: The pump has to be in-
stalled in a fixed position and can either be used with fixed or flexible tubing.
Attention!
The pump must neither be installed freely suspended nor fixed at or suspended from its power
cord or pressure pipe. The submersible pump has to be suspended from its handle and/or be
placed in a way allowing it to rest on the bottom of the shaft.
 In order to guarantee a correct and undisturbed operation, it is necessary for the bottom of
the shaft to be devoid of mud and other forms of pollution.
n insufficient water level inside the shaft may cause mud to dry and obstruct the start-up of
the pump. It is therefore necessary to regularly check the pump by performing a test start-up.
The float switch enables an immediate start of operation.
Note: The float switch requires a space of 40 x 40 x 50 cm in order to be able to move freely.
Mains Connection
This submersible pump is already equipped with a residual current circuit breaker and is supposed to
be connected to an isolated ground receptacle with 230V ~ 50 Hz. Before connecting the device,
make sure that the plug socket is in pristine condition and adequately protected (at least 6 ). The
pump is ready to be used once its plug has been connected to the socket.
Note: If the cable or the plug should be damaged by external factors, do under no circumstances at-
tempt to perform any kind of repairs! Instead, have the cable be replaced with a new one. The ex-
change should thereby only be performed by a qualified electrician.
Operation Settings
fter carefully reading through all the informationen and instructions contained within this
operation manual, the pump can be operated by abiding the following steps:
Check, if the pump is resting on the bottom of the shaft.
Check, if the pressure pipe has been connected properly.
Check, if the plug socket operates at 230V ~ 50 Hz.
Check, if the plug socket is in pristine conidion and does not show signs of damage or wear.
Ensure that the electrical connections and circuits are sufficiently protected from moisture and
water.
Do not allow the pump to run dry.

Maintenance Guidelines
This submersible pump is a certified quality product that is subject to a strict final inspection. It is
advised tp perform inspections and maintenance work on a regular basis in order to guarantee a
failure-free operation as well as a prolonged service life.
Important notes!
Properly disconnect the pump from its power supply by carefully removing its plug from the
socket before performing any kind of maintenance work.
In case of the pump being transported or moved around a lot, it is advised to clean it with clear
water after every use.
In case of the pump remaining stationary for a prolonged duration of time, the functional
efficiency of its interlock switch should be checked every 3 months.
Fibrous material that might have accumulated within the housing of the pump should be
removed with water.
The ground of the shaft should be cleaned every 3 months in order to rid it of mud.
Remove possible deposit from the float switch with clear water.
Cleaning the Impeller
In case of a larger amount of deposit having accumulated within the housing of the pump, the lower
part of the pump has to be taken apart according to the following steps:
1. Remove the suction cage from the housing of the pump.
2. Clean the impeller using clear water.
Important! The pump must not be placed on or be leant against the impeller.
3. Follow the previous steps in a reverse order to reassemble the pump.
Setting the Switch-point
The switch-point of the float switch, responsible for turning the device on and off, can be set by
adjusting the locking bracket.
The float switch has to be installed in a way that operation points for “ON” and “OFF” can be
reched effortlessly. In order to check this, place the pump within a container filled with water
and lightly lift the flaot switch up with your hand before lowering it again. Pay attention to the
pump and confirm if it turned on and off.
Ensure that the distance between the head of the floating switch and the locking bracket is not
too small. The device can not function properly, if the gap between the two is too small.
When setting the float switch, make sure that it does not touch the base before the pump has
shut down as contact might cause the pump to run dry.
