Danger from electricity!
Do not point the water jet directly at the appliance or other electrical parts! Danger of death from
electric shock!
Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands! Always pull out the mains plug by the plug itself and
not by the cable.
The earth contact socket or the plug connection with an extension cable must be located in a
flood-proof area.
Extension cables must have sufficient wire cross-section (see "Technical data"). Cable drums
must be completely unrolled.
Do not bend, squeeze, pull or run over the power cord or extension cord; protect from sharp
edges, oil and heat.
Lay the extension cable in such a way that it cannot get into the liquid to be pumped.
Disconnect the mains plug before carrying out any work on the unit!
If the connecting cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized ser-
vice partner to avoid any danger.
The mains plug must be disconnected when persons are in the swimming pool or garden pond.
Danger due to defects on the device!
If you notice any transport damage when unpacking, notify your dealer immediately. Do not ope-
rate the device.
Check the device, in particular the mains cable and mains plug, for any damage before each start-

A damaged device may only be used again after it has been properly repaired.
Do not repair the device yourself! Only specialists may carry out repairs on pumps and pressure
vessels.
4) Before Commissioning
You can easily set up and connect the device yourself. If in doubt, consult your dealer or a qualified
electrician.
4.1 Installation
The unit must stand on a horizontal, level surface suitable for the weight of the unit with water fill-
ing.
In order to avoid vibrations, the device should be placed on an elastic surface.
The installation site should be well ventilated and protected from the weather.
When operating at garden ponds and swimming pools, the device must be installed in a flood-
proof manner and protected against falling in. Additional legal requirements must be taken into ac-
count.

4.2 Connecting suction lines
The suction line must be mounted so that it does not exert any mechanical force or ten-
sion on the pump.
Attention!
If the pumped medium is dirty, always use a suction filter to protect the pump from sand and
dirt.
Note:
A non-return valve is recommended so that the water does not run off when the pump is switched off.
A non-return valve is recommended so that the water does not run off when the pump is switched
off.
The suction line should have at least 1" (25 mm) inside diameter; it must be buckling, pressure
and vacuum resistant.
The suction line should be as short as possible because the delivery rate decreases with increas-
ing line length.
The suction line should rise steadily towards the pump to prevent air entrapment.
A sufficient water supply must be ensured and the end of the suction line should always be in the
water.
4.3 Pressure Port
Note:
You may need additional accessories for the connection.
Attention!
The discharge line must be mounted so that it does not exert any mechanical force or stress
on the pump.
All fittings should be sealed with thread sealing tape to prevent water leakage.
All parts of the pressure line must be pressure-resistant.
All parts of the pressure line must be installed correctly.
Danger!
Non-pressure-resistant parts and improper installation may cause the pressure line to burst
during operation. Liquid escaping at high pressure can injure you!

4.4 Mains Connection
Danger from electricity!
Do not operate the device in a wet environment and only under the following conditions:
Connection may only be made to soc et outlets with earthing contact which have been
properly installed, earthed and tested.
Mains voltage and fuse protection must correspond to the technical data.
For operation at swimming pools, garden ponds and similar places, the device must be op-
erated via a residual current circuit brea er (FI switch, 30 mA) (DIN VDE 0100 -702, -738).
When operating outdoors, the electrical connections must be splash-proof; they must not
be in the water.
4.5 Filling the pump and suc ing it in
Attention!
The pump must be filled with water each time it is connected for the first time or if water is lost
or air is suc ed in. Switching on without prior water filling will destroy the pump!
Note:
The suction line does not need to be filled as the pump is self-priming. However, depending on the
length and diameter of the line, it may take some time for the pressure to build up.
1) Unscrew the water filler plug together with the seal.
2) Add clean water slowly until the pump is filled.
3) Add clean water slowly until the pump is filled.
4) Screw the water filler plug with seal tight again.
5) Open the pressure line (turn on the water tap or spray nozzle) so that air can escape during suc-
tion.
6) Switch on the device (see "Operation").
7) If water escapes evenly, switch off the appliance.

5) Operation
Pump and suction pipe must be connected and filled.
Attention!
Pump must not run dry. There must always be sufficient pumping medium (water) available.
If the engine does not start, the pump does not build up pressure, or similar effects occur, turn off the
unit and then try to correct the error.
5.1 Put the pump into operation
Note:
The pump runs as long as the on/off switch is on.
1) Plug in the mains plug.
2) Switch on pump with on/off switch.
3) Open the pressure line (turn on the water tap or spray nozzle).
4) Check whether water is leaking!
Attention!
If the discharge line is closed, allow the pump to run for a maximum of 10 minutes, otherwise
overheating of the water in the pump may cause damage.
6) Maintenance and care
Danger!
Before carrying out any wor on the device:
1) Switch off the device.
2) Pull out the mains plug.
3) Ma e sure that the device and connected accessories are depressurized. Further mainte-
nance or repair wor other than that described here may only be carried out by qualified
