OPERATING YOUR WISHBONE SMART THERMOMETER
INSTALLING THE BATTERIES
1. Take 2 button cells (type: LR41/AG3/L736) from Wishbone packaging, unscrew
the button cell cover, then insert the batteries, reinstall the button cell cover.
Please make sure the positive sides of the button cells are up, and the negative sides are down.
Wrong positioning will cause Wishbone not working, or will cause the button cells out of power.
INSTALLING THE APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE *2
1. Download the app: Search “Wishbone Thermometer” in App Store or Google Play.
2. When installation is completed, tap the “Wishbone” app icon on your home screen to open the application.
3. Insert Wishbone Smart Thermometer into the earphone socket, wait for the connection symbol in the upper right-hand corner to turn green.
MEASURING BODY TEMPERATURE
1. Tap the “Body Temp” icon on the home screen.
2. Position Wishbone’s sensor side vertically to the temples or the center of the
forehead within a 3-5cm distance, tap the ”finger” icon.
3. Keep Wishbone in place for 2 seconds, the temperature reading will be
displayed on your mobile phone screen.
4. If you want to save the current data, tap the “Save” icon on the left, and choose
a name to save the data. (You will need to create a name before you can save
data).
5. About iOS Healthkit: When you save the data, if you double click the user name, there will be a red dot, your
temperature data will be synchronized with Healthkit automatically. You only can synchronize one user’s data.
6. If you want to view someone’s data, tap the “Chart” icon on the right. Once you have selected a profile choose a
user, and Wishbone app will display the data curve.
MEASURING OBJECT TEMPERATURE
1. Tap the “Object Temp” icon on the home screen.
2. Position Wishbone’s sensor side vertically to the surface of the object within a 3-5cm distance, tap the “finger” icon.
3. Keep Wishbone in place for 2 seconds, the temperature reading will be displayed on your mobile phone screen.
MEASURING AMBIENT TEMPERATURE
1. Tap the “Ambient Temp” icon on the home screen.
2. Tap the “finger” icon.
3. 2 seconds later, the temperature will be displayed on your mobile phone screen.
MEASURING A PETS TEMPERATURE
1. Tap the “Pet Temp” icon on the bottom left of the home screen.
2. Position Wishbone’s sensor side vertically to the pet’s anus or inner side thighs (somewhere not covered by too
much fur) within a 3-5cm distance, tap the “finger” icon.
3. Keep Wishbone in place for 2 seconds, the temperature will be displayed on your mobile phone screen.
SWITCHING BETWEEN FAHRENHEIT AND CELSIUS
1. Tap the “settings” icon on the home screen.
2. Choose temperature display type: ºF or ºC.
AUTOMATIC SCREEN ROTATION*3
1. If the earphone socket is located at the bottom of your phone (for example, iphone5/5S/5C/iphone6/6Plus/6S/6S Plus), set to automatic screen
rotation for easy use.
2. Select the “Auto-rotate screen“ option to turn on or off.
*1: Results will vary by individual and the method used. Under ideal conditions, measurements occur in 2 seconds.
*2: Wishbone App supports English, French, German, Dutch, Polish, Danish, Finnish, Swedish, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional.
Other languages are under translation.
*3: Some Android phones do not support screen rotation automatically.
Thank you for purchasing Wishbone Smart Thermometer. This compact design, non-contact thermometer works with smartphones to improve the way
you can measure and track temperatures. It is easy to use and can accurately measure body temperature in 2 seconds.
Please read these instructions carefully to ensure accurate temperature measurements.

DISPOSE OF BATTERIES SAFELY.
ACCURACY PARAMETER
For body temp, the accuracy is ±0.2ºC
For Ambient temp, the accuracy is ±1ºC
For Object temp, the accuracy is ± 1ºC under 100ºC
and 2% for 100-300ºC
Please pull Wishbone out from your phone after you finish measuring, to avoid effecting phone using and cause the
button cells out of power.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Unable to check the temperature
1. There should be a small "Beep" sound, when you plug Wishbone in and pull out it from earphone. If you can hear the both sounds, the hardware of
Wishbone is in good situation.
2. Please make sure you open the access to microphone for Wishbone in your phone’s Setting-Privacy.
3. If above two steps are OK, Sometimes the light on the top right corner is yellow or red, Please close the Wishbone app by double click the home button and
slide to close App in task list and restart App.(Click home button once is not to close APP.)
4. If step 3 is not OK, Please shut the phone power off, and restart.
5. If step 4 is not OK, Please check, reinstall battery or change new batteries to try again, maybe the batteries are worn out. The battery size is
LR41(AG3/L736) , two button batteries.
Problems with detecting a temperature
For the best accuracy, point the sensor side of Wishbone at the temples or the center of the forehead within a distance of 3 to 5cm. Don’t move Wishbone
until your phone has either displayed a temperature or shown an error. When Wishbone doesn’t detect the temperature within 32 —44ºC range, the
following message will be displayed, “Please take the temperature at the center of the forehead”.
For the most accurate readings keep the sensor side pointing at 90 degrees to the temples or the forehead.
For young children where there is a problem obtaining an accurate reading from the forehead, you may take the temperature from the temple.
If an object produces a lot of steam, avoid detecting the temperature through the steam. Please don’t take the temperature perpendicularly.
It is recommended body temperature reading is taken indoors. When moving between locations with a large temperature difference, please wait for 20
minutes before taking a body temperature.
Conditions such as sweat and wind may effect the accuracy of readings resulting in lower measurements than the actual temperature.
Don’t use Wishbone detecting the temperature of metal objects.
For Ambient temperature, you should put the wishbone in the same ambient more than 20 mins before you measure temp.
COMPATIBILITY LIST
For Android phones, please note that Wishbone can not work on some Android phones, as each Android phone has own hardware and software. No
intelligent device can be compatible with all Android phones.
We did test for the below Android phones, if your Android phone is in the list of non-compatible for Wishbone, please change other phones to try.

PRECAUTIONS
High, prolonged fever requires medical care. Temperature measurements are for reference, if in any doubt please contact a medical healthcare profes-
sional.
Do not use Wishbone if it appears damaged. If damaged, do not attempt to repair. Please contact our customer service department.
The Wishbone contains batteries. Batteries are dangerous for children. Do not allow children to play with or use Wishbone by themselves. Don’t let children
open the button cell cover. Do not expose batteries to water or fire.
When Wishbone is plugged in the mobile phone, it can affect some operations of your phone such as making or answering calls, please always unplug
Wishbone when not in use.
Leaving Wishbone plugged in when not in use will deplete the button cells.
Once high temperature objects have been measured, immediately move Wishbone away from the object to protect the sensor.

Some phones may have a badly worn 3.5mm earphone socket with intermittent contact. We recommend inserting the device slowly, forceful insertion
may result in an error in reading.
