INTRODUCTION
WitGarage is a companion device to an existing garage
door opener which makes your garage door be smarter and
securer. It allows multiple users to control and monitor their
garage door from anywhere in the world. You can also open
and close garage door by voice command.
The following tools will be used probably:
• A Flathead screwdriver ---------------------------
•AStepladder ------------------------------------
Waning: Please unplug the power plug of the garage door
opener before installation.

The WitGarage box is packaged with the following
parts:
1) GD801C(WitGarage controller)
2) GD801S (WitGarage door sensor)
3) User manual
Note:
When unpacking, please make sure all these items are included
in the box.

KEYS & LEDS
GD801C have one key and one led with three colors.Now
we list the key operations and led indications.
1) Key operations
Switch the mode of Wi-Fi configuration
If you havn’t configured Wi-Fi setting of GD801C, and the
led indicator of GD801C blinks fast with red color, it is “Smart
config”. Long press key until the led indicator of GD801C blinks
slowly with red color then release,it changes to “AP MODE”.
If you havn’t configured Wi-Fi setting of GD801C, and the
led indicator of GD801C blinks slowly with red color, it is “AP
MODE”. Long press key until the led indicator of GD801C
blinks fast with red color then release, it changes to “Smart
config”.
Unbind GD801S from GD801C
Long press key until the led indicator of GD801C blinks
with blue color then release, it will unbind GD801S from
GD801C.
Note:
Please wait for 5 to 10 seconds after switching the mode of
Wi-Fi configuration.

2) Led indications
Led indicator blinks fast with red color
The Wi-Fi setting of GD801C has not been
configured and the mode is “Smart config”.
Led indicator blinks slowly with red color
The Wi-Fi setting of GD801C has not been
configured and the mode is “AP Mode”.
Led indicator blinks with blue color
The GD801S has not been bound to GD801C.
Led indicator blinks with green color
The Wi-Fi setting of GD801C has been
configured but it can’t connect to internet,
please check your router.
Led indicator is solid green
The WitGarage device works normally after
correct configuration.

Please follow the steps as detailed in the order
below for best results.
We recommend seriously that put all parts of
WitGarage on your table and finish step 1, step 2,
step3, step4 first which will make your installation
easier and save your time.
Step 1
CHECK COMPATIBILITY
We have listed most of the compatible garage door
openers on our website. Please visit the website below to
check:

If you can find your model in compatible list, go to step 2.
If you can find your model in incompatible list, your device
may not be compatible so STOP and contact us.
If you can’t find your model in these two lists, you can check
it yourself manully.
How to check the compatibility yourself?
Please read the garage door opener user manual document
and check:
Can your garage door opener be controlled by wall console?
-----Yes. It is compatible with witgarage. Go to step 2.
-----No. It is incompatible with witgarage.STOP and contact
with us.
Note:
If you can’t check the compatibility yourself, please contact
with our sales. They can help you.

Step 2
INSTALL MOBILE APP & CREATE ACCOUNT
Install app follow next steps.
1) Download and install "WitGarage" app from
Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
2) Launch "WitGarage" app.
3) Create new account by click “Create New Account now”
or login with facebook or twitter.

Step 3
ADD WITGARAGE DEVICE TO APP
Make sure your phone have connected to a Wi-Fi router
or a Wi-Fi hotspot which can access to internet quickly
before you start next steps.
1. Power on GD801C
Plug your WitGarage device
into an outlet ,the device will power
on automatically, the led indicator
blinks with green color 3 times as
the right figure;
About 5 seconds later, the
led indicator blinks fast with red
color as the right figure;
Now, GD801C is ready.

2. Add your witgarage device to witgarage app
Open the WitGarage app, and login, it show as the
follow right figure;
Click “Add device” to configure Wi-Fi;
Note:
Our WitGarage device supports
two modes of configuring Wi-Fi
network,one mode is “smart
config”,one mode is “AP Mode”.
If you use Wi-Fi hotspot or your
Wi-Fi router doesn’t support
smart config, please switch the
mode to “AP Mode”.
The default mode is “smart
config”, You can follow the
prompts of WitGarage app to
configure step by step.
The figure next page shows all steps of “smart config”.

You have added your WitGarage device to your WitGarage
app by “smart config” now.

If “smart config” configuration fails, or you want to
try “AP mode”, please follow the ordered steps below.
1) Long press the switch key of
GD801C until the led indicator blinks
slowly with red color, it is “AP mode”
now.
2) Launch your WitGarage app, Click “Add device”,
then click “AP mode” on the right top of the page; the
following three figures show all steps of “ AP mode”.

You have added your WitGarage device to your WitGarage
app by “AP mode” now.

The app shows as the follow figure after the Wi-Fi
configuration is successful.
Now, you have finished most of the app settings, tap
the item of the list for more interesting functions.Give
your new WitGarage device a new name first, this new
name is used for voice command control. If you don’t want
to rename it, it has a default name which shows on the
item.

3. Bind GD801S to GD801C
Take GD801S out from your box and put it close to
GD801C before following operations.
Check the led state of the GD801C. The led indicator of
GD801C will be one of the following two states after
previous operations.
(1) Led indicator is solid green
If the state of led indicator is state (1),
GD801C has been bound with GD801S.
(2) Led indicator blinks with blue color
If the state of led indicator is state (2),
GD801C has NOT been bound with GD801S.
Flip the GD801S 90 degrees, wait for about
5 seconds until the led Indicator is solid
green color. Now it change to state (1).

Step 4
TEST APP SETTINGS
Please operate as follow to check that your GD801S is
pared with GD801C.
Flip GD801S 90 degrees, then check the status after
15 to 20 seconds on WitGarage app.
The figure next page shows the right status of
GD801S of different directions.
Please test for 3 times or above, make sure the state is
correct.
If the state of WitGarage app doesn’t change after you
flip GD801S every time, please unbind GD801S from
GD801C, then bind GD801S to GD801C again.
How to unbind GD801S from GD801C and rebind them?
(1) press switch key for 3 seconds or above then release,the
led indicator will bink with blue color.
(2) Flip the GD801S 90 degrees, wait for about 5 seconds
until the led Indicator of GD801C is solid green color.
