1. General Safety Information
DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT A SUITABLE REGULATING DEVICE. This
appliance does not come with a factory fitted temperature regulator. Suitable
temperature regulating devices include trade-standard room thermostats or timer
switches. Use of undersized appliances due to underestimating heating requirements
may result in unregulated operation. The device must not be used in small spaces
occupied by people who cannot leave the room unaided. In such cases, constant
supervision is required.
The heating appliance must not be used if the glass front is damaged.
Extra care should be taken if the appliance is to be operated by inexperienced users,
people with reduced mental, physical or sensory capabilities or children aged 8 or over.
They should only operate the appliance when appropriately supervised or if they have
been well briefed on the safe operation of the appliance and understand the potential
dangers arising from its operation. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
Children must not carry out user maintenance or cleaning without adult supervision.
Children younger than 3 years old must be supervised to keep them away from the
appliance. When the appliance has been installed or positioned in its normal place of
use, children between the ages of 3 and 8 may switch the appliance on or off, if they are
supervised or if they have been well briefed on the safe operation of the appliance and
understand the potential dangers arising from its operation. Children between the ages
of 3 and 8 must not insert the mains plug in the mains socket, or operate the device
controls. Neither should they clean the appliance or carry out any user maintenance.
Warning: some parts of the appliance become very hot and can cause burns. Special
care is required when children and other vulnerable people are present.
The appliance must be situated so that the power switch cannot be operated by a
person who is in the bathtub or standing under the shower.
Maintain a minimum distance of 10cm to flammable materials or items like curtains,
upholstery etc.!

2. Glossary of Terms
Master = The primary appliance which is connected to the mains power.
Slave = Additional appliances, not connected directly to the mains power. These
appliances are powered via the master appliance. Slave appliances may only be
operated in conjunction with a master appliance.
3. Safety advice prior to initial operation
The modular concept of the Y-Panel allows you to connect up to 2 slave modules in
addition to the master appliance. The master module differs from the slave modules in
that it has an on/off switch (rocker switch or Y-touch according to option selected). In
addition master modules have an “in operation“ LED and a “Y“ logo on the front of the
appliance.
Slave modules must only be used in conjunction with a master module. Slave modules
must be connected to the master module using the supplied connecting cables. These
are used to provide power to the slave appliances and to switch them on or off.
A maximum of 2 slave modules may be attached to a single master module (as shown
on p5). Thermal expansion may cause a small thermal deformation of the glass surface,
whereby a large allocation of the radiant heat is enabled in the space.
The device must not be mounted immediately underneath a mains socket.
The device must not be mounted in the immediate vicinity of a bath or swimming pool
(according to valid norms).
Installation should only be carried out by a qualified tradesperson.
4. Safety advice for safe operation
Do not drill any holes in the Panel (e.g. for fastenings etc.).
Should the device be connected directly to the main system, an isolating device capable
of protecting against IEC Category III overvoltage must be inserted.
If either the Y-Panel or the main connection are damaged, the appliance should be
isolated from the main to ensure safety, and the appliance then returned to the
manufacturer.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Always use a suitable regulating device when operating this appliance (this is especially
important for appliances fitted with a mains plug). Under sizing a result of improper
calculation of heat requirement can lead to uncontrolled non-stop operation. An
uncontrolled non-stop operation occurs when a unit is more than 150 hours in
continuous operation, or the average maturity during the heating season, 12 hours / day
exceeds.
