Make sure to turn the power and the temperature control knobs on the Controller to the “off” position and
unplug the power plug from the power outlet whenever you leave home or when the Product is not in use.
This will prevent any unwanted accidents.
Please never use this Product in the following manners:

If using the Product in a very cold area:
Always use this Product together with another
heating apparatus.
In a place where the heat from a heater dissipates
easily, the Product temperature control may not
function properly, i f s o pl ac e a thin-piled rug
or a carpet underneath this Product.
Please sit directly on the Carpet Cover.
Do not use zabuton or
any other cushion. Sit
directly on this Product.
First time usage:
Loose fabric/lint/fuzz may be apparent
at first.Vacuum-clean the Product just
like a regular carpet to eliminate it.It
will become less and less
conspicuous as time goes on.

You may notice adhesive smell the first time this
Product is turned on. It will dissipate gradually.
The Controller will become a bit warm
during use. It is not malfunctioning
when this happens.
It will feel a
little warm.
If using the Product on a rug or
flooring (tiles, inlay floors, etc.)

Place a thin-piled rug or a blanket underneath this
Product. It will prevent discoloration and distortion
of the flooring, and insulation effects promote
stable temperature control of the Product.

Notes on the use of this Product together with yagura kotatsu

Do not heat the Controller.
Covering this Product with kotatsu futon
for long hours may cause the safety device
to kick in and the power to be turned off.

center of Hot Carpet.

Set the temperature control knob
at “medium” or lower.If set higher
than “medium,”the Hot Carpet
may be turned off due to too
high a temperature inside the
kotatsu. ( This is not a
malfunction of any sort.)
AutomaticTimer: forgetting to turn off the Hot Carpet
(Power on/off indicator lamp will start blinking)

6 hours after power is turned on, an automatic timer will kick in and heating will be stopped
(red lamp will be blinking).
To reset the Hot Carpet again:
●
Turn the power on/off & heating area selection knob back to OFF (power on/off indicator
lamp will be turned off), and then turn the power on again (power on/off indicator lamp will
be turned on).

not turn the power on, but that is not a malfunction of any
sort.

MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Maintenance Steps
1 Use a vacuum cleaner
to remove dust from the
surface of Hot Carpet.

2 Use cloth dampened with Mild dishwashing

Commercially available carpet
cleaners should be effective
for stubborn stains.
Carpet Cover: Hand-wash if dirty.
1. Remove dust and any other foreign materials. Spread cover on a flat surface, (e.g., outside deck),
and pour water over it.
2. Put mild detergent on a sponge or cloth. Scrub the surface of the cover with lather.
3. Rinse thoroughly to remove any detergent residue.
Do not use both hands to wash the Cover vigorously.It may damage the material.
Do not scrub the back side too hard. It may cause damage.
4. Place Carpet Cover in a breezy, shady area to allow natural drying.
Do not use a drier on the cover.
Follow the process described above to wash the washable Cover included in this Product.
The other Covers for other models are NOT washable.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Do not use any insect repellant, e.g., naphthaline or camphor. It may damage
the Hot Carpet.
Store this Product in a relatively dry place. Do not allow any load on the Product.
Too much load will not only make creases difficult to be corrected, but also may
cause malfunctioning later.
Make sure to fold Carpet Cover with the face side on the outside. Folding it with
the back side on the outside may cause thread pull off and seams to unravel.

to maintain the functionality of this Product) for the
Hot Carpet for at least 6 years after discontinuation
of this model.
Any repair of the main body of the Hot Carpet will
require replacement (for a fee) to ensure
waterproof resistance and safety.
This Hot Carpet comes with a written warranty,
which the store will provide you with after
entering required information. Please review it
and keep it in a safe place.
The warranty period is one year after the date of
purchase. The store you purchased this Product
from will provide repair services pursuant to the
provisions of the warranty. Please take this
Product to the store when such repair is
required. For further details, please refer to the
Warranty Certificate.
