2. Wooden parts (if necessary) should be treated with the natural wax or oil before the assembly.
Our Tip: The untreated bed is better for the environment of children’s room (regulating humidity in the air!). Also you could save treatment cost and makes it easier
to wipe off crayon and color pencil marks with tissues and cloth. Other advantage is that untreated wood is easier for children’s hands to grip on and the natural
colour of the wood would last longer.
3. The following working tools are necessary for assembly: a ratchet with size 10 socket and cross-end screwdriver (better yet a
cordless screwdriver with exchangable size 10 socket and cross-end attachment) and hammer. An assistance is necessary
only when putting together the corner posts.
1. Before you begin please take a look at the diagrams above. Every important assembly parts are labeled with a sticker so that
you will recognize them immediately. Additional beam list will also help you to identify the beam parts. Each beams are shown
vertically or horizontally depending on how they are assembled. Also you will find labels on the boxes with a description of what is

The beams W2, W3, W9 and W10, has notch to support the mattress slats and
these notch should face upward. For the beams W13 - W23 there will be an
additional bolts for the end of vertical beams, which are fixed from top to bottom
at the end of the beam with M6 flange nut. The horizontal beams on the upper
bunk are built from top to bottom so that it makes it easier to screw nuts with
screwdriver. Then tightly screw the bolts at the bottom so that it makes it easier
to construct the rest of the bed.
Ladder assembly: in one end of five rung holes of the beam Z2 add drops of
wood glue (included in the delivery). Install the steps using a hammer and
wooden board ( ). Do not put glue on the other side so that another
step can be added later to raise the height to 150 cm!

Start the assembly of the bed with horizontal beams W1, W8, W14 and W19 (W = horizontal, S =
vertical). The labels of the beams can be found at the end of each beams. Assemble the bed in an open
space so that your could walk around the bed during assembly ( ).
WARNING! Every horizontal long beams (W1, W2, W3, W5, W7, W8, W9, W10, W11, W12) are
assembled in a way that the side with most round indentations (= )face the inside of the bed
and side with two round indentations face down! The head and foot side horizontal beams W13,
W15, W16, W17 and W23 should also have the side with round indentations facing inside the bed.
When using flathead bolts during assembly, make sure to hammer the bolts from ouside to inside
through beam holes. From inside fix it with size 6 flange nut using screwdriver with size 10 socket. But in
the beginning do not screw the bolts too tightly.
Diagram 1.1Diagram 1.1
Assemble Corner beams Z30 and Z31, S1 and S8 as well as middle beams S2 and S7. Please note that the beam side with
round indentations on beams Z30, Z31 and side with five round indentations on S1, S5, S6 and S8 face the middle beams.
Further assembly steps are shown individually on diagrams + + . The beams W17 and W23 can be exchanged
depending on which side you wish to attach W23 to a wall.

slide the bottom board in the notch ( ) . Screw the
castors on the piece that will be attached underneath the
drawers ( ). Slide in both drawers from the inside to
the outside of the bed through the drawer space. Side
boards F1, F2 and F3 are fixed to the beams S12 and S13
with 40 x 40 mm bracket, so that the drawers slide
smoothly between vertical beams. The wider side of the
side boards are positioned in the back ( ).

Glue the rungs only on one side of the ladder (in
case the bunk shall be highered and rungs shall
be added to the ladder).
WARNING!
Please be careful not to let small
children
put a covering for round

The slatted frame: as shown in 15 wooden peg
should be placed between each slats. The wooden pegs
are attached to one side of every slat except for the 16th
slat. Slats are placed on the notch of beams W2 and W9, W3
and W10 and fixed with screws. The slatted frame should only be
used with a mattress on top for safety since there are space between the
slats.
Other option: If you would like a bunk bed without a mattress, an extra slat
can be added (“Play ground set”, Order No. 650). The wooden pegs should
be taken out and collected for later use. ( ).
Safety rails: assemble Z23-Z26 with 35mm screws between
guard rails (W5, W22, W11, W16). The front railds (Z23) and
back safety rails (Z26 and Z26) are attached from inside and
side safety rails Z24 and Z25 from outside.
Sail: witha 50 cm long rope attach it to the climbing rope
beam W18 and side beams W17 or W23.
Diagram 1.6Diagram 1.6
Diagram 1.7Diagram 1.7
Wall attachment: Children play with the climbing rope and other
accessories with more power than adults could imagine, therefore for
sercurity reasons it is better to attach the bed to a wall. It is
recommended to use the upper holes on the S7 beam for an
attachment (also it is also possible to use W23 for wall attachment) with
the supplied anchor and 80mm or 100mm long Hexagonhead bolt. If
the bed does not have direct contact with the wall because of a
baseboard, it is necessary to place a piece of wood between the bed and
the wall. After approx. three weeks tighten the bolts again to make sure
that the head of the bolt does not get buried in the wood.
Important TIP: According to Euorpean Standard EN 747 children under
the age of six are in danger of falling off the normal bunk bed. Therefore
WOODLAND bunk beds have guard rails that are more than double the
European Standard. If you have any technical questions about
assembly please contact us at (02133) 2482 - 19. The WOODLAND
Team wishes you and your children to have fun with your WOODLAND
adventure bed!

wheel is attached with the long M6-bolt and special nut that can be recongnized by a green
ring inside).
Arch can be assembled over the ladder with 35mm-screws on the upper end of the ladder
beam Z1 and Z2 (use the pre-drilled holes in the arch).
