top. Consider removing weight before selecting level 4 (Workspace recommend not to select
level 4, CMS off mode, for desk protection and work life longevity).
Error Codes
Note: For all error code solutions, where possible, ensure the desk is moved to its lowest possible position,
with all legs fully retracted, prior to commencing any corrective actions. This may require the cancelation of
lower limit settings if applicable.
Generation 1.0 (170107 and 170119), 1.2 (170216) and 2 (170816)
There are no error codes programmed into the system. A number beginning with 00 (e.g. 002) may
appear on the display screen. If this occurs unplug the power from the control box, check all connections
to the control box, handset and legs, wait for 30 seconds then reconnect the power. If the problem
persists please work through the trouble shooting tips.
Generation 3 (170823 and 180131)
1. ER1: Motor has stopped
Turn the power off. Wait for 30 seconds. Turn the power back on. If the error code remains then
damage may have occurred to the motor and further repair is required.
2. ER2: Over 5cm height difference between two legs
Follow user guide instructions for programing generation 3 CMS for downward movement (Step 1).
Set the CMS sensitivity to level 4 (only use level 4 in this scenario and be sure to remove all
obstructions from under the desk before proceeding). Move the desk to the lowest position making
sure all legs are retracted. Minimum height settings may need to be cancelled to achieve this. Turn
power off. Wait for 30 seconds. Turn power on again. The desk should function normally and at even
heights. If the problem persists then further repair is required.
3. ER3: Loose wire or connection
Check all cables for damage and check all connections are secure. Turn the power off. Wait for 30
seconds. Turn the power back on. If the problem persists a wire/cable/connection may be damaged.
Further repair is required.

5
4. ER4: Communication problem
Check all cables for damage and check all connections are secure. Turn the power off. Wait for 30
seconds. Turn the power back on. If the problem persists then the control box or hand set could be
damaged and further repair is required.
5. ER5: Overloading problem
Lighten load to <180kg for 2-leg desk or <160kg for a 3-leg desk. Turn the power off. Wait for 30
seconds. Turn the power back on. The desk should function normally. If the problem persists then
further repair is required.
6. HOT: Overheating problem
a. With desk loading of less than 70kg the system can work continuously for 5 minutes before
becoming hot.
b. With desk loading greater than 70kg the system can operate continuously for 3 minutes
before becoming hot.
Once the display screen shows the word HOT the desk must rest for 5 minutes before returning to
normal use.
Troubleshooting For All Generations of Travel Systems
Note: For all error code solutions, where possible, ensure the desk is moved to its lowest possible position,
with all legs fully retracted, prior to commencing any corrective actions. This may require the cancelation of
lower limit settings if applicable.
Assembly
When assembling the Travel system ensure that the power is the last to be plugged in. The legs should be
plugged in first, followed by the hand set, then the power last. This allows the control box to recognise and
communicate properly with all inputs during the boot up process.
Avoid applying too much tension to the cables and plugs, particularly in tight angles. This will help to avoid
damage to internal wiring and also ensure all components stay properly connected.
Keep the cables tidy. Use zip ties and adhesive cable clips along with cable tray covers etc. to keep cables
organised and out of the way of moving components.
Power and Connections
Check all the connections and verify that they all are correctly installed. Make sure all plugs connected to the
control box, handset and motors are fully inserted.
Try reassembling all connections. Remove the power first. Remove all cables from the control box. Allow the
system to rest for a minimum of 30 seconds before reconnecting any cables. Reconnect the leg motor cables
followed by the hand set cable. Again check that all plugs are fully inserted. Plug the power back in.
Range of Movement
In some instances the control box my still contain settings programed in the factory during testing. The main
items to look for are minimum and maximum height settings. For example, if the desk doesn’t move as high as
you think it should during your testing it might be affected be a maximum height setting previously
programmed. Simply refer to the User Guide for the relevant Travel generation to reset any previous settings
that may be affecting operation.

6
Operation (Movement and Levels)
When the desk top moves up and down and appears to be under duress check that there are no objects
obstructing the movement. This can include screens, screen glides and cabling. Ensure there are no
obstructions around the hex rod in the manual version.
If the desk moves only a short distance and then retreats 50mm, once again check for obstructions. If glides
are tight within screen channels they can produce enough resistance to activate the CMS (collision mitigation
system). Another reason for this could be that one leg is moving faster than another or the legs are at uneven
levels (This can also engage the CMS).
To reset the levels: remove any objects from under the desk (furniture etc.). If a minimum height setting is
engaged this will need to be cancelled to accommodate the next step (see user guide for relevant travel
generation for instructions on cancelling minimum height setting). Move the desk down using the handset and
holding the DOWN button until the desk goes no further. All legs will lower to their lowest possible height and
reset.
If the desk will only move down a short distance before stopping and moving up 50mm; check for, and remove
obstructions. Then move the desk down in small increments by pushing the down button on the handset for
only 1-2 seconds (if you hold for too long the desk will stop and move upwards again). This should allow you to
move the desk to the lowest point where all legs have fully retract and reset. The desk should move up and
down continuously and at a level position.
Conflicts
If the UP button moves the desk down and the DOWN button moves the desk up please refer to
troubleshooting 1 and 2 for possible solutions.
For manual desks conflict may come in the form of one leg wanting to go up and the other down or the system
binding and not moving at all. In this scenario please check the gear configuration. This can be done by
observing the medial faces (facing towards the middle or inside of the desk) of the leg columns.
On a straight desk: the bud will be visible on one side but not the other.
On a 90 degree desk: the bud should not be visible on either outside legs but should be visible on both left and
right faces of the centre leg.
On a 120 degree desk: the bud should only be visible on alternating faces (i.e. not visible on the medial face of
the right leg, visible on the right face of the middle leg, not visible on the left face of the middle leg, and lastly,
visible on the medial face of the left leg.)
Any variations on these configurations will result in product failure.
See figure 3 to identify bud visibility.
