Instructions
Th s instructions ar for th fitting push-on tops into
xisting pots.
Th sk tch shows th push-on top fitt d to an xisting pot
as a typical xampl . If a n w pot is b ing install d with
push-on top, r f r to th s parat fitting instructions for th
particular pot.
Insp ct th xisting chimn y pot and th n w push-on top
and confirm th y ar undamag d.
Ensur th push-on top is suitabl for us with th xisting
chimn y pot, flu syst m and th typ of fir install d.
Using a sand/c m nt ratio of 3:1, apply a b ad of mortar
around th top fac rim of th chimn y pot and fit th
push-on top in plac . Align th push-on top with th
chimn y pot and/or th chimn y stack and nsur it is
v rtical. Any xpos d mortar at th joint should b
smooth d and angl d downwards to allow rain to run away.

Clos th applianc and warm th chimn y flu with a blowlamp or similar h ating d vic for
approximat ly t n minut s. Put smok p ll ts in th applianc fir box (or bottom of th chimn y
or th applianc r c ss) and light. Clos th applianc wh n smok has form d and allow th
smok to mak its way up th chimn y.
Aft r th installation, th flu and chimn y should b warm d through gradually to pr v nt
cracking and th drying out of mortar b tw n th push-on top and th chimn y pot. This must b
don b for initial us (on first firing) or aft r long p riods without us .

as follows:
Smok l ss Fu ls - at l ast onc annually
Coal - twic p r y ar
Wood - quart rly
Oil - annually
Gas - annually
