1About the Operating Instructions
1.1 Preface
Dear X-Floc customer,
Thank you for your trust in our product. We hope you don’t encounter any problems whilst operating the
insulation blowing machine M99.
This operating manual contains all the important information for safe and optimal operation with the
insulation blowing machine. The operating manual must be read carefully before initial operation and be
kept at hand at the site of use.
It is imperative that all persons who intend to use this machine read the operating manual carefully, ensuring
they are familiar with all the safety notices prior to operating the machine. A fixed storage site for the
operating instructions must be specified by the operator.
The operating manual must be used in accordance with national law which is based on accident prevention
and environmental protection. The binding rules surrounding accident prevention and the recognized
technical rules governing safe and proper work applicable in the country and at the site of use are to be fully
acknowledged. Our General Terms & Conditions apply.
In case of any obscurities or if you have any questions regarding the insulation blowing machine, please
contact our customer service team. In order to provide you with the best help and support possible, please
have the product and model numbers as well as the technical features ready.

2Safety Notes
2.1 General Notes
2.1.1 General
The insulation blowing machine M99 is designed and built based on the latest state of the art technology
with all the recognized safety and security requirements.
We implore you to only use the insulation blowing machine in impeccable technical conditions whereby
general safety and hazard awareness are taken into account. Interferences and defects that may impair the
safety of users and third parties must be rectified immediately.
In order to keep potential risks minimal, preventive measures regarding safety at the workplace must be
strictly adhered to at all times. First-aid facilities and fire protection must be inspected regularly.
2.1.2 In the event of an emergency
In the event of an emergency, turn the main switch Q1 [19] to position “0” and disconnect the mains.
2.2 Intended & Non-Intended Use
2.2.1 Intended Use
The insulation blowing machine M99 is authorised for the processing of officially approved insulation
materials such as cellulose, wood fibre and rock wool, via nominal sized hose lines.
2.2.2 Non-Intended Use
Any other applications exceeding this are considered improper. X-Floc Dämmtechnik-Maschinen GmbH shall
not be liable for any resulting damage to persons and/or objects.
The insulation blowing machine is not explosion-protected and must not be used in potentially explosive
areas.
The use of non-approved spare parts and improper conversion, changes, repairs and maintenance at the
machine are not permitted.
An insulation blowing machine which has faults and/or modifications which compromise the safety features
may not be put into operation. The insulation blowing machine may not be insufficiently repaired,
maintained or wilfully damaged.
2.3 General Safety Notes
2.3.1 Qualified Personnel
The insulation blowing machine may only be operated and serviced by trained and qualified professional.
Operating the machine under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or medication that impairs the work
performance and reaction speed is strictly prohibited. When in operation, the insulation blowing machine
must not be left unattended.
Trainees or personnel who are yet to undergo general training may only operate the insulation blowing
machine under permanent supervision by qualified personnel.
2.3.2 Operator
The operator is the person who operates the machine for commercial or economic purposes or provides it to
a third party for use or who holds legal product responsibility for the protection of the user, staff and third
parties during operation.
2.3.3 Qualified Electrician
Only qualified electricians or trained personnel under the instructions and supervision of a qualified
electrician are allowed to carry out work on the insulation blowing machine‘s electrical components.

2.4 Safety Devices
In the event of functional interferences, the insulation blowing machine must be immediately shut down.
Interferences have to be rectified immediately. The insulation blowing machine may only be operated and
stored on sites where the temperature meets the operating requirements. Attention has to be paid to
sufficient air supply in order to avoid overheating. The insulation blowing machine may not be used on wet
surfaces or in rainy conditions. Hoses which are connected with metal parts can be recharged
electrostatically. An adequate grounding of metal parts reduces the potential risks of electrical discharging.
The electrical switchboard [6] is to be kept locked at all times upon initial commissioning and during the
operation. Access to this is only permitted for qualified electricians. Warning signs, coverings and protective
clothing may not be removed or changed. The insulation blowing machine’s movable parts pose a high risk
of injury.
DANGER!
Danger of injury upon initial commissioning and during operation of the insulation
blowing machine!
There is a higher risk of injury between the hopper extension [1] and the bottom of the machine [10].
Never tip over the machine during initial commissioning and/or operation!
Never grip the filling hopper [3] during initial commissioning and/or operation!
Never grip the area around the conditioning unit [9] during initial commissioning and/or
operation!
Prior to maintenance and cleaning work, move the net adaptor.
The workplace-related emission sound pressure level, measured according to DIN EN ISO 11201 is,
70.0 dB(A). Depending on local conditions, for example in an enclosed space, a higher sound pressure level
can occur.
The operator and persons, who are in the immediate proximity to the insulation blowing machine, must be
provided with all necessary protection gear. In the event of prolonged material afflux, the machine should be
switched off. When leaving the workplace, the machine must be stored securely in order to prevent
unauthorised and external influences from tampering the machine.
2.5 Spare Parts
Spare parts must comply with the manufacturer’s technical requirements. This is always guaranteed when
using original spare parts. X-Floc GmbH is not liable for any damages as a result of using improper spare
parts.
2.6 Insulation Materials
The insulation blowing machine may only be used with insulation materials which are authorised by
construction supervisory boards. If the machine should be used with non-authorised insulation materials and
hoses, then the potential threats of an electrostatic charge, which leads to in electrocution, and/or
interferences with the machine are imminent. X-Floc Dämmtechnik-Maschinen GmbH shall not be liable for
damage resulting from improper use to any persons or objects.
2.7 Resale
Should the insulation blowing machine be resold or passed on further, all accompanying documents must be
passed onto the new owner. To gain more information about the relevant safety changes on the insulation
blowing machine EM300, machines and accessories, the manufacturer’s registration is required. For more
information, please contact our customer service team.

4Preparation
The operator is obliged to familiarise himself with the handling of insulation blowing machine M99’s
operating elements, as well as all the accessory parts before the initial commissioning in order to avoid
damage and accidents.
4.1 Transport, Assembling & Connecting
4.1.1 Unpacking & setup
The insulation blowing machine is packed for transport in the factory. The first step is to
unpack the machine and dispose the packaging material. The packaging material used is
made from recyclable material and must be disposed of in accordance with applicable
regulations.

In order to facilitate easier transportation of the insulation
blowing machine, take the machine by the hopper extension [1],
carefully bring it to a balanced tilt using your foot and move it on
its wheels [13] to the required destination.
Moving the machine by gripping the hopper’s [3] handles [2] is not
advised.
When transporting the machine over palettes or anything similar,
protect the machine from tipping over or external hindrances.
In the event of transportation using cranes and lever
mechanisms, the main load must be taken from the bottom of the
machine [10]. A suspension exclusively for machine parts is
insufficient and dangerous.
The machine will be delivered in fully working condition. A self-installation of individual components is not
required. The insulation blowing machine should be installed on an even and stable surface, which can
accommodate heavy loads. When choosing the installation site, the following criteria must be met:
Sufficient air supply and open space around the machine.
Dry and even surface. Safe position!
Keep the hose lines and cable connectors as short as possible.
Avoid sharp hose curvatures and kinks.
Do not expose the insulation blowing machine to direct sunlight.
CAUTION!
The blowing machine is heat sensitive!
When exposed to direct sunlight and there is an insufficient supply of cool air, a power loss may
occur which may cause damage from overheating.
Avoid direct sunlight.
Ensure a sufficient amount of cool and fresh air reaches the machine’s intake socket [11].

4.1.2 Power Connection
The base for the electric connection is shown on the provided electrical diagram. Pay attention to the
relevant VDE-guidelines (Association for Electric, Electronic and Information Technologies), the accident
prevention regulations and operating the insulation blowing machine outside the Federal Republic of
Germany according to national regulations.
WARNING!
Warning against dangerous electrical voltage!
Damaged cable connections and touching the electric cables can lead to electrocutions and sever
injury or death.
Before starting the connection work, ensure that the machine has been assembled
correctly and the hopper [3] is fixed to the bottom of the machine [10].
Before operating the electric switchboard [6], move the net adaptor.
Operating the electric switch board may only be done by qualified personnel.
Before starting the connection work, the electrical installation requirements must be checked over.
The machine is not protected against long periods of continuous overvoltage. In order to avoid damaging
the machine, the existing power network’s connection value must be sufficient for the whole system. The
machine’s connection may only be made over a particular supply point, in the worksite power distribution
point. If the mains voltage is too low and the supply cables are inadequately dimensioned, the machine’s
overall power can be reduced.
When using the cable reel, care must be taken to ensure that these are fully laid out. There is a risk of
overheating and fire! Take local conditions into account and prevent the supply cable from being damaged
when laying them out. The operating personnel must not be obstructed.
The insulation blowing machine M99 requires a power supply of 230
V / 50
Hz (M99), 230
V / 50-60

DS/M99-DS-Pro). The connection is made via the three-phase supply. The supply cable must be compatible
with the H07
RNF (3× 2,5
mm) version. The protective contact must be earthed correctly, the backup fuse
must amount to 16
A. Voltage or frequency deviations of up to 5% are permissible. Connect the supply
cable to a separately secured power circuit.
Connect the net adaptor to the electrical switchboard’s [6] main connection X10 [27]. Set the blower selector
switch Q2 [20] to position “2“(M2, M3). If there is a lack of power or the performance requirements are lower
than is normally required, the machine can be put into operation using only one high performance-radial
ventilator. At this connection, the backup fuse only has to be 10

4.1.3 Suction Hood

The fresh air is vacuumed via the suction hood’s [12] intake
socket NW75 [11] and must be clean every time. If the
surrounding air’s particle load is too heavy, fresh air must
be blown into the area using the hose (up to 5m long)
provided in the delivery contents from an area with clean
air. The hose connection should be chosen so that no
material and dirt can be sucked in and hose opening can
always be seen. The hose connection should regularly be
checked for dirt and blockages and be cleaned if necessary.
The suction hose, with a nominal diameter NW75, must be
put over the intake socket and hermetically sealed with a

4.1.4 Outlet Connection

The insulation material-air mixture is blown out through the
blowing machine’s outlet NW63 [7].
Put the hose line with a nominal diameter of NW63 over the
outlet and seal airtight using a hose clamp NW63.
In order to prevent air and material congestion inside the machine, vertically ascending have to
be implemented with hose loops or hose knots every 3-4
m.
4.1.5 Control Connection M99/M99-DS

The cable remote control KFB3/KFB30 and radio remote control
FFB400’s connections are made at the electric switchboard’s [6]
machine control socket X3 [28].
Open up the machine control socket’s retaining bracket and plug
in the control’s connection plug [36/42] into the control socket.
Press the retaining bracket downwards in order to fix the
connection plug.

The radio remote control FFB2000-Pro’s connection is made at
the electrical switchboard’s [6] machine control socket X3 [30].
Plug in the control’s connection plug [36/42] into the control
socket. When establishing the plug connection, the correct
insertion position can be found by aligning the flattened sides
on the connection plug and the machine control socket. Securely
screw the connection plug’s ferrule onto the control socket.

5.1.1 Switching the Machine On
Set the toggle switch [32] to position OFF [34] and the insulation blowing machine’s main switch Q1 [19] to
position “I”. The machine is now ready for operation.
WARNING!
Warning of automatic start-up!
Persons in the machine’s vicinity can be disturbed or taken aback from the automatic start-up.
Always set the toggle switch [32] to position OFF [34] before switching the insulation
blowing machine on.
Before putting the machine into initial operation, ensure that no one will be disturbed
due to the machine’s automatic start-up.
5.1.2 Machine Operation
To operate the machine, the control must always be connected with the electric switchboard’s [6] machine
control socket X3 [28].
Position Function Explanation
Air flow activation. Set the toggle switch [32] to position Air [35]. Air supply turns on.
Air and material flow
activation.
Set the toggle switch to position Material [33]. Air and material
flow turn on.
Air and material flow
deactivation
Set the toggle switch to position OFF [34]. Air and material flow, if
enabled, are turned off.
5.1.3 Cable Remote Control KFB

2000, see
chapter 7.1.1.

5.2.1 Control Activation
To operate the machine, the control must always be connected to the electric switchboard’s [6] machine
control socket X3 [28].
The green radio contact LED [45] flashes three times when there is a good radio signal.
The control is ready for operation.
If there is an insufficient radio signal or no signal at all, the green radio contact LED
flashes. The transmitter automatically tries to establish a radio contact.
If a radio signal is successfully established, the control changes to power on mode. Three acoustic signal
tones signal a disconnected radio contact. A connection is not possible. The red battery LED [46] flashes three
times.
5.2.2 Machine Operation
To operate the machine, the control must always be connected with the electric switchboard’s [6] machine
control socket X3 [28].

pressing the Air [44] button.

Material flow, if enabled, is turned off. Air flow is turned off after the
deceleration time process.
5.2.3 Key Lock Settings
To operate the machine, the control must always be connected to the electric switchboard’s [6] machine
control socket X3 [28].

Key lock activation
Activate the key lock by pressing the OFF [39] button for approx. 5
seconds. Two signal tones signal successful key lock activation.
The red battery LED [46] flashes twice. The control is protected
against unintentional key presses. Pressing a button causes no
change with the function. A quadruple flash from the battery LED
signals the enabled key lock.

deactivation
Deactivate the key lock by pressing any button twice. Two signal
tones signal successful key lock deactivation. The pressed keys‘
function is performed immediately after the key lock’s deactivation.
5.2.4 Battery Status
If the hand-held control’s batteries need to be changed, the red battery LED [46] will flash
continuously. The battery’s remaining capacity is approx. 20%.
