OPERATING
NOTE: Before using the tool, read
the instruction book carefully.
INTENDED USE
The unit is intended for the forming and
welding of plastic, removal of paint and
warming of heat-shrinkable tubing. It is also
suitable for soldering and tinning, loosening
of adhesive joints and the defrosting of
water lines.
1. HEAT SETTINGS:
The heat Gun has two settings:
1. Low heat - for use where the workpiece
or surroundings must not be allowed to
get too hot. Setting: 3500C.
2. High heat - For faster heat up time
of the workpiece where you can also
operate the gun at a greater distance.
Setting:5500C.
2. OPERATION
Before starting the job it is advisable to test
the workpiece for the ideal temperature to
use. The table below gives an indication of
the likely heat settings required but always
start with the low heat setting.
The distance between the nozzle and
the workpiece will vary according to the
material being worked on but this should
always be at least 50mm (2inch) or more on
either heat setting.
All applications, with the exception of
removing paint from the window frames,
can be performed without using a nozzle,
however for best results nozzles are
recommended.

4. NOZZLES
The heat gun can be used with 4 different
shaped nozzles which can be used as
follows:
1) Concentrator Nozzle (See Fig.1)
This nozzle directs a concentrated heat
ow to the workpiece. It is ideal for use
when removing paint in awkward corners,
crevices, mouldings, beading, architraves
or whenever precise paint removal is
required.
2) Flat Nozzle (See Fig.2)
This nozzle directs a long narrow heat
pattern to the work piece, and is ideal for
removing paint or varnish from large at
surfaces such as skirting boards, doors,
stairs etc. It should be used in conjuntion
with a at scraper. Viryl tiles can be
removed by softening the tile and adhesive.
3) Glass Protection Nozzle (See Fig.3)
This nozzle deects the heat away from
glass or other fragile areas and back onto
the workpiece.
4) Hook Nozzle (See Fig.4)
This nozzle disperses the heat ow evenly
around the whole workpiece. It is ideal
for defrosting frozen pipes, soldering pipe
work, bending plastics and heat-shrinking
electrical parts.
5) Shave hook (See Fig.5)
Take the handle from the set, remove the
nut from the end, t the triangle blade in
place by retting and tightening the nut.
The triangular shave hook is ideal for
strippng paint from at wooden surface and
edges.
Remember to clean the blade after use with
wirewool and lightly oil before storing.
5. REMOVING PAINT
Choose the required nozzle and t onto
the heat outlet. Select the scraper or
shave hook required. Hold the gun with
the nozzle approximately 50mm (2inch)
from the surface of the paintwork and
start with the lower heat setting move it
slowly backwards and forwards until the

paint blisters and bubbles. Immediately
remove the paint with the scraper or shave
hook. Aim to heat the paint just ahead
of the scraper so that you can develop a
continuous action. Do not heat the paint for
too long, as this will burn the paint making
it difcult to remove.
Most stickers can also be removed from
paintwork by using the heat to soften the
adhesive. Be careful not to direct the heat
for too long if you are trying just to remove
the stickers, as this will blister the paint.
6. REMOVING PAINT FROM WINDOW
FRAMES
Always use the glass protection nozzle.
Ensure you have the nozzle facing the
correct way to deect the heat away from
the glass before you switch on. Rotate the
gun or nozzle 900as you move to horizontal
or vertical bead. Allow nozzle to cool before
attempting to turn it. Paint can be removed
from prole surfaces by using a shave hook
and/or a soft wire brush.
WARNING: Glass can break
easily.
7. DEFROSTING FROZEN PIPES
Choose the Hook nozzle and t over the
heat outlet. Always heat from one or other
end of the frozen portion, not from the
middle.
WARNING: Do not attempt to
defrost PVC pipes. Always check
that it is a water pipe and not a gas
pipe. Do not heat a gas pipe.
8. SHRINK SEATING ELECTRICAL
CABLES
Choose the Hook nozzle and t over heat
outlet. Select a heat-shrinkable sleeve with
a diameter matching that of the workpiece.
Evenly heat the sleeve.
9. WELDING PLASTICS
Choose the Concentrator or Deector
nozzle and t over heat outlet. The
materials being welded together must be
of exactly the same type of plastic. The
areas being welded must be clean and
grease-free. Heat the seam until the plastic
becomes tacky, then apply the other
surface.
WARNING: Plastic can very
quickly change from being
tacky into becoming liquid. Beware of
burns from hot plastic. Do not remove
molten plastic from a burn. Run under
cold water and seek medical advice.
10. BENDING PLASTIC TUBE
(See Fig.6)
Choose the Hook nozzle and t over heat
outlet. Turn the gun upside down and
place on its clip stand so that it is resting
on a secure bench with the nozzle pointing
upwards, see picture. To avoid buckling or
kinking the tube, ll the tube with dry sand
and seal at both ends. Heat the tube evenly
by moving from side to side and bend to
required shape.
WARNING: Protect hands from
heat.
MAINTENANCE
Remove the plug from the socket
before carrying out any adjustment,
servicing or maintenance.
There are no user serviceable parts in your
power tool. Never use water or chemical
cleaners to clean your power tool. Wipe
clean with a dry cloth. Always store your
power tool in a dry place. Keep the motor
ventilation slots clean. Keep all working
controls free of dust. Occasionally you may
see sparks through the ventilation slots.
This is normal and will not damage your
power tool.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualied persons in order
to avoid a hazard.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
1. If your heat gun will not operate, check
the power at the mains plug.
2. If the outlet of the heat gun very hot, pls
rest until cold.
3. If a fault can not be rectied return the
gun to an authorized dealer for repair.

PLUG REPLACEMENT

The wires in the mains lead are colored in
accordance with the following code:

As the colors of the wires in the mains
lead of this appliance may not correspond
with the colored markings identifying the
terminals in your plug, proceed as follows.
The wire which is colored blue must be
connected to the terminal which is marked
with N. The wire which is colored brown
must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with L.
WARNING:Never connect live or
neutral wires to the earth terminal

BEDIENINGSINSTRUCTIES
OPMERKING: Lees voor het gebruik
van het gereedschap aandachtig het
instructieboekje.
GEBRUIK VOLGENS BESTEMMING
Het apparaat is bestemd voor het vormen
en lassen van kunststof, het verwijderen
van veragen en het verwarmen van
krimpkousen. Het is eveneens geschikt
voor soldeer- en vertinwerk, het losmaken
van lijmverbindingen en het ontdooien van
waterleidingen.
1. HITTE-INSTELLINGEN:
Het heteluchtpistool heeft twee instellingen:
1. Lage stand – voor gebruik waarbij het te
bewerken voorwerp of de omgeving niet
te heet mogen worden. Op deze stand
wordt het apparaat 662F (350°C).
2. Hoge stand – Om het te bewerken
voorwerp sneller op te laten warmen, en
gebruik op grotere afstanden. Op deze
stand wordt het apparaat 1022F (550°C).
2. GEBRUIK
Voor u het werk begint is het aan te raden
eerst het te bewerken voorwerp te testen
op de best te gebruiken temperatuur.
Onderstaande tabel geeft een indicatie
van de waarschijnlijk benodigde hitte-
instellingen, maar begin altijd op de lage
stand.
De afstand tussen het mondstuk en het te
bewerken voorwerp varieert naar gelang
het materiaal dat bewerkt moet worden.
Het moet echter altijd minstens 50 mm zijn
bij beide hitte-instellingen.
Alle toepassingen, met uitzondering van het
verwijderen van verf van kozijnen, kunnen
worden gebruikt zonder een mondstuk
te gebruiken. Voor het beste resultaat is
het echter aanbevolen een mondstuk te
gebruiken.
3. BENODIGDE STANDEN

4. MONDSTUKKEN
De set is voorzien van 4 mondstukken
met een verschillende vorm, die als volgt
gebruikt kunnen worden:
1) Concentrerend Mondstuk (Zie Fig.1)
Dit mondstuk richt een geconcentreerde
hittevloei naar het te bewerken voorwerp.
Dit is ideaal om verf te verwijderen in lastige
hoeken, gaten, vormen, lijsten, architraven
of wanneer anders nauwkeurig verf moet
worden verwijderd.
2) Vlak Mondstuk (Zie Fig.2)
Dit mondstuk richt een lange, nauwe
hittestraal naar het te bewerken voorwerp,
dit is ideaal om verf of vernis te verwijderen
van grote, vlakke oppervlakken als plinten,
deuren, trappen, etc. Het moet samen
met een vlakke schraper worden gebruikt.
Vinyltegels kunnen worden verwijderd door
de tegel en het plaksel te verzachten.
3) Glasbeschermend Mondstuk
(Zie Fig.3)
Dit mondstuk houdt de hitte weg van glas
of andere breekbare vlakken, en geleid de
hitte naar het te bewerken voorwerp.
4) Hoekig Mondstuk (Zie Fig.4)
Dit mondstuk verdeelt de hitte gelijk over
het gehele te bewerken voorwerp. Het is
ideaal om bevroren leidingen te ontdooien,
leidingen te solderen, plastic te buigen en
elektrische onderdelen door hitte te laten
krimpen.
5) Schaafhaak (Zie Fig.5)
Haal het handvat van de set, verwijder de
moer aan het eind, pas het driehoekige blad
in en zet de moer weer vast. De driehoekige
schaafhaak is ideaal om verf te verwijderen
van vlakke houten oppervlakken en randen.
Vergeet niet na gebruik het blad schoon te
maken met gaaswol en licht in te oliën voor
opslag.

5. VERF VERWIJDEREN
Kies het benodigde mondstuk en pas dit op
de hitte-uitlaat. Kies de benodigde schraper
of schaafhaak. Houd het pistool met het
mondstuk op ongeveer 50 mm van het
oppervlak van het verfwerk en begin met de
lagere hittestand. Beweeg het pistool rustig
naar voor en achter totdat de verf begint te
bladderen en bubbelen. Verwijder de verf
meteen met de schraper of de schaafhaak.
Richt zó, dat de verf voor de schraper
verhit wordt, zodat u constant door kunt
gaan. Verhit de verf niet te lang, dit doet
de verf verbranden en maakt het lastig te
verwijderen.
Ook de meeste stickers kunnen worden
verwijderd van verfwerk. Door de hitte te
gebruiken raakt het plaksel los. Richt niet te
lang op het zelfde vlak als u slechts stickers
wil verwijderen, dit doet de verf bladderen.
6. VERF VERWIJDEREN VAN
VENSTERS
Gebruik altijd het glasbeschermende
mondstuk. Zorg ervoor dat het mondstuk
de juiste kant op gericht staat om de
hitte van het glas weg te geleiden. Draai
het pistool of het mondstuk 900als u
naar een horizontale of verticale stand
verandert. Laat het mondstuk afkoelen voor
u het draait. Verf kan worden verwijderd
van oppervlakken met proel door een
schaafhaak en/of een zachte borstel te
gebruiken.
WAARSCHUWING: Glas breekt
gemakkelijk.
7. BEVROREN LEIDINGEN ONTDOOIEN
Kies het hoekige mondstuk en pas het over
de hitte-uitlaat. Warm altijd vanaf het ene
uiteinde van het bevroren gedeelte naar het
andere, nooit vanuit het midden.
WAARSCHUWING: Probeer geen
PVC leidingen te ontdooien.
Controleer altijd dat het een
waterleiding is en geen gasleiding.
Verhit een gasleiding niet.
8. ELEKTRISCHE KABELHULZEN
KRIMPEN
Kies het hoekige mondstuk en pas dit over de
hitte-uitlaat. Kies een door hitte krimpbare huls
met een diameter gelijk aan het te bewerken
voorwerp. Verhit de huls gelijkmatig.
9. PLASTIC LASSEN
Kies het concentrerende of het
deecterende mondstuk en pas het over
de hitte-uitlaat. De materialen die gelast
worden moeten van exact het zelfde soort
plastic zijn gemaakt. De te lassen vlakken
moeten schoon en vetvrij zijn. Verhit de
naad tot het plastic plakkerig wordt, voeg
dan het andere oppervlak toe.
WAARSCHUWING: Plastic kan
zeer snel van een plakkerige
toestand overgaan op vloeistof. Pas op
voor brandwonden van heet plastic.
Verwijder gesmolten plastic niet van
een brandwond. Houd de wond zo
snel mogelijk onder koud water en
raadpleeg uw dokter.
10. EEN PLASTIC PIJP BUIGEN
(Zie Fig.6)
Kies het hoekige mondstuk en pas het
over de hitte-uitlaat. Draai het pistool
ondersteboven en plaats het op het
klemmende voetstuk, zodat het op een
veilige ondergrond rust met het mondstuk
omhoog gericht, zie de illustratie. Om
kromtrekken of kinken van de pijp te
voorkomen kunt u de pijp vullen met droog
zand en aan beide kanten dicht maken.
Verhit de pijp gelijkmatig door van kant tot
kant te bewegen en buig de pijp dan naar
de benodigde vorm.
WAARSCHUWING: Bescherm uw
handen tegen hitte.
ONDERHOUD
Trek de voedingskabel uit de aansluiting
voordat u eventuele aanpassingen,

reparaties of onderhoud uitvoert.
Dit elektrische gereedschap hoeft niet extra
gesmeerd of onderhouden te worden.
Dit gereedschap bevat geen onderdelen
waaraan de gebruiker onderhoud kan
of moet uitvoeren. Gebruik nooit water
of chemische reinigingsmiddelen voor
het schoonmaken van uw elektrische
gereedschap. Veeg het schoon met
een droge doek. Bewaar uw elektrische
gereedschap altijd op een droge plek. Houd
de ventilatiegleuven van de motor schoon.
Houd alle bedieningselementen vrij van
stof. Er kunnen vonken zichtbaar zijn in de
ventilatiegleuven. Dit is normaal en leidt niet
tot beschadiging van uw gereedschap.
Is de voedingskabel beschadigd, dan
moet hij, om risico te voorkomen,
worden vervangen door de fabrikant, zijn
vertegenwoordiger of een ander bevoegd
persoon.
OPLOSSING
PROBLEMEN
1. Als uw heteluchtpistool niet werkt moet
u eerst controleren of de stekker in het
stopcontact zit.
2. Als de uitlaat van het heteluchtpistool
erg heet is, moet u die laten afkoelen tot
deze koud is.
3. Als een defect niet kan worden verholpen
brengt u het heteluchtpistool terug naar
een gekwaliceerde reparateur.
BESCHERMING VAN
HET MILIEU
Afgedankte elektrische producten
kunt u niet met het normale huisafval
weggooien. Breng deze producten,
indien mogelijk, naar een recyclecentrum bij
u in de buurt. Vraag de verkoper of de
