EBIKE INSPECTION CHECKLIST
TIRE PRESSURE AND WEAR
Make sure tires are inated properly. Over-ination and/or under-ination of tires can cause damage
or dangerous riding circumstances. Tires have a maximum rated psi rating located on side wall of
tires, do not inate past this level. Xero2 recommends 25-30psi for both front and rear.
1
SPOKES
Spokes should be tight and straight. Loose or bent spokes can indicate a damaged wheel. If a tire is
damaged, do not ride the eBike and replace the tire immediately.
2
FRONT AND REAR BRAKES
Test front and rear brakes to ensure the brakes engage when levers are pulled. If the brakes are
unresponsive or worn, do not ride the eBike and have brakes serviced immediately.
3
FRONT AND REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
Both wheels should be in straight alignment. If the wheel is angled or o-axis, check the mounting
bolts to ensure the axle is properly seated. If the wheel is bent or damaged, do not ride the eBike and
have the wheels serviced immediately.
4
HANDLEBAR CLAMPS
The handlebars should be rmly secured in position. If the handlebars rotate forward or backward,
the clamps are loose and require tightening.
5
HEADLIGHT
Vibrations from road travel can lead to parts becoming loose. Check to headlight to ensure it is
securely fastened.
6
WIRES, CABLES, AND LEVERS
Vibrations from road travel can lead to parts becoming loose. Check to all wires, cables, and levers to
ensure they are securely fastened.
7
BIKE CHAIN
Weather, moisture, and dirt can lead to rust and other blockages that can seize the chain resulting
in the dislodgement and even breakage of the chain and its links. Ensure the bike chain is properly
lubricated before use.
8
WARNING - ALWAYS PERFORM AN INSPECTION BEFORE USE
To ensure a safe and enjoyable ride on your eBike, it is important to become familiar with and
perform routine inspections prior to every ride. Poorly maintained parts and/or non-functioning
features can lead to injury or possible death.
