Getting Started
Important:
• Keep heated surface away from contact with all skin areas.
• Do not touch barrel with fingertips.
• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic comb between scalp and iron to
avoid touching scalp.
• Test small section of hair before styling whole head.
Preheating
1. Rest the iron on a smooth, flat surface and plug in.
2. Switch the On/Off.
3. Use up and down buttons to set temperature. LCD display will show
the temperature. Recommended heat settings:
• DELICATE & THIN HAIR: 212°F TO 300°F
• AVERAGE & COLOR-TREATED: 230°F TO 320°F
• THICK, WAVY & HARD TO CURL: 320°F TO 410°F
4. Allow 2 minutes for full heat up.
Styling
1. Work with hair sections that are no more than 1-1/2” wide and
1/2” think.
2. Use the thumb grip to open the curling iron start by grabbing the
section of hair at the bottom.
3. Wrap hair around the barrel of the iron until you get close enough to
the scalp.
4. Press down on the thumb grip to release the hair.
CAUTION: Hair will be hot, let cool before touching.
5. Be sure to unplug the iron when you are finished styling.
6. Keep iron off of skin and surfaces until it has cooled to avoid burning.
Maintenance:
• Your appliance is virtually maintenance free. No lubrications is required.
• Keep heated surfaces clean and free from dust, dirt and chemicals
(such as hair spray).
• If cleaning becomes necessary, remember to disconnect the appliance
from the power supply and allow to cool. Then wipe exterior with a
damp (never wet) cloth.
• If the cord becomes twisted or tangled, untangle it before use.
Warning: If any malfunction occurs, DO NOT attempt to repair it by
yourself as there is not user-serviceable parts.

7. Never use this appliance while oxygen is administered.
8. Do not let eyes and bare skin touch the heated plates when using.
Always use the handle.
9. Do not rest the heated parts directly on the appliance.
10. Never drop or insert any object into any opening on the appliance.
11. Attachments become hot during use. Let them cool before handling.
12. Never use while sleeping.
13. Do not use any extension cord with this appliance.
