Issue No. 1A

Yale reserves the right to alter the specification and
product design at any time without notice.
Sleep Timer
The PIR features an automatic “sleep time” of
approximately 1 minute for power conservation.
Once the PIR has detected motion, the PIR will
not retransmit for 1 minute. Any further motion
detected within this one-minute sleep period will
extend the sleep time by another minute.
LED indicator
Off Normal operation
LED flash
(2 sec)
When motion is detected and the
LED flashes for 2 seconds, this
indicates one of the following:
• Low battery
• Tamper switch activated
• PIR in ‘Test Mode’
Radio:
868MHz FM
Program your PIR before installation and test
afterwards. Please see your Alarm user manual.
Notes on pet immunity:
1. Suitable for use with a single pet weighing
less than 25kg. Not suitable for use in rooms
where the pet can climb up on to furniture.
A pet standing on furniture will appear taller and
larger to the PIR and could trigger a false alarm.
If the Pet PIR produces false alarms due to
the environment (e.g. Pets not prevented from
climbing on furniture), please use a Door/
Window Contact to secure the area instead.
2. As the PIR is placed higher from the ground,
the pet immune range will increase. Placing the
PIR closer to the ground will reduce the pet
immune range (see diagram below).
3. For a taller pet, you may need to place the
PIR higher up to reduce the risk of false alarms.
Please adjust accordingly to the environment
and test thoroughly before commissioning.
4. Please note that the blind spot under the
PIR increases with mounting height (See
diagram below).
Compatible with Yale ‘SR’ and ‘EF’ Series
Alarm Kits.
Supervision Enable/Disable Jumper 2
If enabled, the PIR will automatically transmit
Supervisory signals periodically to the Control Panel
or Smart Hub at random intervals. The Control
Panel or Smart Hub needs to have supervision
enabled before it can monitor these periodic
signals.
Jumper On = Supervision Disabled (Default)
Jumper Off = Supervision Enabled
Motion High/Low Sensitivity Jumper 3
Jumper On = Increase PIR sensitivity to motion
Jumper Off = Decrease sensitivity (Factory Default)
Environmental conditions:
-10c to 40c , relative humidity 85%
non-condensing. Indoor use only
