Programming
Step 1: Remove the PIR battery insulator
on the back. It will take 30 seconds for the
PIR to initalise (with LED ashing). To allow
calibration, stay away from the detection lens
during this period.
Step 2: Login to the engineer menu on the
control panel. Select “Zone Settings” →“Zone
Cong.” →“Add Zone” on the menu. Press OK
and the LCD of the Control Panel will display
“*Push button on* Device to add”.
Step 3: Press PIR’s Learn button.
Step 4: Then if the Control Panel detects a
signal transmitted from PIR, the Control Panel
will display
“Detected (OK?) PIR sensor”. Press OK to
conrm the learning.
Step 5: Refer to the operation manual (section
“Add Zone”) of your Control Panel to complete
the learn-in parameter setup.
Step 6: To nd the best installation location for
the PIR, you will need to make a“Walk Test”.
Press the “Return” button and go back to the
root selection. Select the “Testing” Menu, then
select the “Walk Test” option.
Step 7: Hold the PIR in the desired location
and press the test/learn button. The RSSI signal
strength value will be displayed on the control
panel, varied from 0 ~ 9 (9 indicates the best
signal strength performance). It is suitable for
installation if the RSSI value is 5 or greater.
Device is now ready for mounting.
Mounting
The PIR is suitable for surface or corner
mounting. There are knockout holes in the
base cover to allow xing. Using the holes as a
template to drill mounting points on the wall.
Insert wall plugs and x the base onto the wall.
Put the front cover on the PIR to complete the
mounting process.
It is recommended to install the PIR in the
following locations:

Operation
Sleep Timer
The PIR features an automatic “sleep time” of
approximately one minute for power conservation.
After transmitting a detected movement, the PIR
will not retransmit for one minute. Any further
movement detected within this one-minute sleep
period will extend the sleep time by another
minute. Disable the sleep timer temporarily by
entering the test mode. See Test Mode section.
LED indicator

LED ash
(2 sec)
- Detects motion during Low
battery, Tamper activated or Test
mode.
- Spring/Tilt tamper switch is
activated.
Tilt Switches/Tamper spring
With the PIR placed in an upright position:
•Turning left and right
Tamper Activate when
Turning clockwise more than 45 degree
Turning anti-clockwise more than 135 degree.
•Tilting Up and down
Tamper Activate when
Turning down (lens pointing to the oor) more
than 110 degree
Turning up (lens pointing to the ceiling) more
than 80 degree.
By turning the PIR the other way (back to the
original upright position) will cause it to send a
“tamper restore” signal back to the control panel.
Opening the unit will also trigger tamper alarm via
the tamper spring
Test Mode
Press Test button/LED once to enter test mode.
Under test mode, the sleep timer is disabled
and the LED lights up whenever movement is
detected. The device will auto exit test mode after
3 minutes.
Changing Batteries
The 3 x 1.5V AA size alkaline batteries have a
battery life of approximately three years (based
on 20 activations per day). When the low battery
condition is shown, the device should have
enough power to operate for one month.
Step 1: Login to the engineer menu on the
control panel.
Step 2: Dismount the PIR and remove the
batteries. Press Test button for ten times.
Step 3: Insert 3 x new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries.
Step 4: Replace the cover and mount the sensor.
Step 5: Exit the engineer menu and return to
standby on the control panel.
